Just finished putting up a couple of strings of Christmas lights--one in the under-cab area and one around my back window. I have not been putting up lights in my motorhome because of the difficulty of plugging them in. Also, I do not like the fire hazard of hot lights.
However, these are different. Not only are they cool LED lights, but each string runs on 3 AAA batteries. The strings are about 8 feet long of lights each, with another foot or two of cord. It is just about perfect to wrap around an RV window, inside of course. They come in various sizes and colors, but the ones I put up tonight were the 30 light, multi-color set--cost was $7.48 per string, which is expensive for a small set of lights, but I think they will last longer than regular lights, and I love that they work on 3 AAA batteries. They have a blinking and a fading setting and also a solid setting where they turn themselves off after 6 hours and then back on after 18 hours! Really easy. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Martha-Stewart-Living-9-4-ft-30-Light-LED-Multi-Color-Battery-Operated-C6-Light-Set-11900-56/205079325?N=5yc1vZc3tbZ1z11ercZ4tg
They come in solid colors, icicles, round bulbs, and snowflakes. I also got a couple of sets of the very tiny lights. These are really just 1/4" plastic things stuck on a wire, but they are very bright for the size. Going to put those behind my blinds on my side windows.
I put them up using some very small clear hangers made by Command. A lot of effort taking off all the paper and putting them together, but you really cannot see them on the windows.
The bad thing is that you cannot string more than one string together. They do have 50 light sets, however, which I did not see when I was in Home Depot. Here is the overall site showing all the LED lights: http://www.homedepot.com/b/Decor-Holiday-Decorations-Christmas-Lights/Martha-Stewart-Living/LED/N-5yc1vZc3tbZ1z11ercZ4tg
