The loss of close confidants and friends at this point in life is all the more powerful because we have enough life experience to know how invaluable and irreplaceable each and everyone is. We grieve our loss, their loss, their family's loss.....We face a renewed awareness of the march of time and the shattering of our false belief that we all have plenty of time to do what ever that was we dreamed of doing....... ((((( hugs ))))))) Now get out there and purse your dreams and tell her all about them in the quiet of the campfire or as you look over the heart stopping vistas.....

X2 what birdbybird has just said.

We lost my FIL last week and then on Monday my favorite Aunt. So sorry for your loss gingerk. I'm right there with you in the grieving process. Big hugs being sent your way.

Time to bump up the campfire. ;)

Second prize in the Lakewood Pork Loin cook off. Every Labor Day the CG has a pork loin cook off as part of annual covered dish on Saturday. The loin was marinated in Carolina Mustard BBQ sauce (homemade) and beer then grill over an open fire and served with some sauce.

The BBQ sauce contains course ground mustard, fine diced onions cooked in fine diced bacon, molasses, brown sugar, toasted mustard seeds and cider vinegar. On the sweat side and ever so yummy.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Are you sure you won't be able to make it to the GTG? :)

Tina - I think she lives in Indiana. If she cannot make a gtg, maybe we should plan to visit her sometime.
