Where's Sparkle?

Has anyone heard from Sparkle? She posted her "Hellos" and that was it. Dang that was Thursday I think, wasn't it??
It's not like Sparkle to be so quiet unless something is going down or she's in that black well again....

Well jeepers, I hope that's all it is. My memory is like a sieve any more so I don't remember reading that. But thanks for mentioning it! My worry went down a notch or two.

I like South Dakota so much I may come back next year! That's the first time I've wanted to return to a job. I'm planning on scouting out all the available jobs in the area in the Forest Service and actually picking my site. I have a SD Drivers Licence, (they put the wrong photo on the card. It was an old woman, but she made me take it anyway!) My vehicles are registed here, and I'm changing my Insurance next week. Its funny I looked on Alabama as "home" and kept going back there. But now, I have to get used to the idea, there is no home, even though I haven't had a stick house in 3 years. Its a a weird feeling. I guess I'll feel kinda lost when I start traveling again, but its just an attitude adjustment. Tentative plans are to visit a friend I made in Kaibab, AZ, remember the lady who insisted the Aliens were stealing her eggs? Gotta love her! Then wandering a bit and ending up at Quartzite for a while.

Look what a change of scenery did for you! That's so nice that you'd consider going back. I feel that way about where I stayed in PA last year- but there are too many other places yet to see - like Alaska next summer, for me - which is why I'm going to workamp this winter.

When you have time, I hope you'll post more pictures - and maybe do a review of where you are now in the campground reviews. (You might want to do one of where you left, also.) The pros and cons are both good to know

OMG! From the way things started out for you I didn't think you would ever consider setting foot in SD again! Does this mean I might actually have the opportunity to meet the infamous Sparkle next summer? I am so glad that things are going better! However you could still leave via I-90 and stop in for a visit!

grandmothers picture got on MY license, she's been dead for years!!

Sooo good to hear you like your job. Guess I'm really lucky with my driver's license. I haven't aged at all since 1999 when I first got my Texas license. I renewed it online and they used the old picture. Don't you love Texas? Wish you were coming to Texas for our Nov GTG, Sparkle.

Illinois has those 'good' kind of drivers license too where you renew and keep the same picture!

That woman at dept. of motor vehicles must be crazy to make you take a driver's license with somebody else's picture on it!
