If you go into the maintenance room, you'll find lots of talk about this :)

There are two methods: the first is with a built-in flush mechanism in your RV, as I have. I just hook a hose to a fitting on the outside and turn on the water while the valve is open. It sprays water on the sides of the black tank and helps get rid of gunk. The second is to buy a wand that you hook to a hose and run through a door or window and stick it down your toilet. You can buy these at Camping World.

There are non-built in flush systems you can add inexpensively, which is what I use.

Btw, you don't have to search, but posting and looking in that forum would help others and you to find info on the topic. I'm moving this to that forum.

I have a space where I think that is what I can do the back flushing but not sure ...it says to have all valves closed so I did that (when I was in Q my first night last fall) it spit back out at us (clear water fortunately ) what would cause that or am I just thinking that is what it is for?
