Postby rvgrammy1953 » Mon Feb 23, 2009 11:42 pm

Well, Paulette and I talked about this last fall....about planning another GTG at Ferryboat Campground where she hosted last Oct......So I was wondering if there's any interest in doing this.....What cha' think, Paulette....want to co-host it with me? The best time for us would be August or September.....Give me some feedback on this please....

Yes, yes, yes, yes! (She said enthusiastically). Whenever the most of us will be in the area...September or August works for me too!

I am interested in the gtg in Pa. I am working the week of 8/10 but will be in Pa to see Sights and Sounds sometime in August. I do not know if the show is near the gtg. My sister-in-law will be with me and it will be her first camping trip. If I can arrange the two events together it would be great. I am also open to coming back in September if that is better for everyone.

Duh! scratch everthing I said. This show runs into October. I can make Pa. easier than Liz trying to connect on her way back to Fla. Just let me know the date. :D

I am reluctant to say it....because then things get messed up LOL...but I am scheduled to come off my Maritime caravan in later August by the latest (depends which one I get on) so I expect to be heading down the Eastern Seaboard about that time....with maybe a stop in Amish country before or after... I will look up Ferryboat Campground. It sounds like home to me LOL!

Sure would be fun to finally hit one of these GTG's!

jan

PS Looked it up---looks great!! How long of a GTG were you thinking? I may well need a week downtime somewhere about then....

Hi Everybody, I would be interested in getting together in PA either late August or Sept. The earlier I know the dates, the easier it will be to plan. Looking forward to meeting you all.

All righty, then.....Here are the dates Paulette and I have come up with....August 21-24 or Sept. 18-21....Our thought being that cool enough for a campfire, but still warm enough for the ferryboat to run and to do kyaking on the river if anyone wants to.....also there is a nice little winery really close there....give us your thoughts.... ;)

August or September is good for me. Touring a winery sounds like fun. I haven't kayaked for a long time but might try that too if I can whip this body into shape.

Ok...where is Ferryboat Campground? I am still free in August.

Also, do they allow dogs? Where is Liverpool, PA?

I would possibly be able to do this in Sept - this campground is very nice and I would love to return.

Okay, if we keep tabs here, maybe that will help us to decide on the dates.

Liz and Carolinagal said September
Shirlv says Aug or Sept
Jan's vote looks like Sept
Peg says Aug or Sept
Zee says Aug or Sept
Soos says Aug
Kellie says Sept
Paulette says Sept would be better but I'm close enough that Aug would probably work too.

Looks like this may be a good turnout! And, it's only 6 months away! Something to look forward to!
