Good Morning Donna,

Prayers for your granddaughter. Hope she will recover and be her old self again. Also prayers for those who suffered the terrible tornadoes that struck OK and AK last night. I watched the drama unfolding on the Weather Channel. Began to wonder if the tornado that was on the ground for 80 miles was ever going to stop. Now weather is moving east, so keep safe those of you in the path of them. Hardest part is knowing about them when on the road traveling as warnings don't always reach us out there. Hope non of our members happened to be in those states traveling at the time.

Mitch, you have some nasty weather in your area as I type this. Keep an eye out. Beth, you are heading to the Black Hills area. From what I have heard of the weather there, would you like me to send you one of my spare snow shovels

As for me, I'm heading to Traverse City this morning. Want to go to JoAnn fabrics and see if they have anything I want to get my two seat cushions recovered, pick up some Dacron and also go to Sears and get small air compressor. Just want one to carry along in case need to air up trailer tires as well as use here for same thing on my tractor, utility cart etc. Thought about getting one that also can plug in to car to use for trailer in case on the road and need air. But most I have heard about say cords are too short. Will start a thread on this in General Talk and see what rest of you do? Might be good for the new gals too.

So with that in mind, I am going to wish you all a wonderful day. Keep safe from the weather, enjoy travels if on road etc.

Mornin' ladies....

Donna, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister's little granddaughter, I'm sending healing prayers and good thoughts her way. So scary that it was from the medicine!

Was glad to hear from some of us on another thread that so far everyone's ok with all the bad weather going on yesterday and today. Prayers for all of you to be safe!

We aren't in the direct path of the storms but we're getting the benefit of them regardless. Weather is NOT good today and doesn't look to be better most of this week.

Sue, be warned that those pancake compressors are really LOUD! I used to work on construction sites and the finish carpenters used them. You may need ear protection.

Everybody stay warm, dry and safe especially if you're on the road.
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Aww, Donna, healing thoughts sent for your sisters granddaughter.

Peaches and I rocked and rolled all night and they keep extending how long these major winds will last. Sustained gusts of over 45 mph to continue until tomorrow night and now possibly into Wed. :o I'm hoping it settles just enough so that I can make the short hop to Keystone Wed. I'm told the winds aren't as bad there. But I feel so lucky in comparison to those who were in the path of the twisters.

About to walk over and pick up my mail. Hopefully my title is there and I can take care of finalizing my license plates.

Cold and very windy here alone Lake Erie. Been rocking and rattling all night, and keeping both furnaces going. I think there are a lot of air leaks in the two large slides I have because I can feel cold air coming in underneath. I love my slides and would not trade them, but they can be drafty.

Watching two absolutely crazy guys on surfboards of some sort with those air foils that pull you along in the wind. The lake has to be almost freezing, literally, so I assume they have on wet suits, but there are a lot of big whitecaps and it is just wild outside. I hate to go outside to get into my rental car, let alone getting wet in a freezing lake.

One interesting thing is that even though lake levels on the Great Lakes are higher than usual, there is a lot of sand that has washed up so the beach is much bigger than last year. Also, there is a line of big logs, trees, and brush along the shore that has no doubt washed up over the winter. The park has done some cleanup way down at one end, but there is a lot more. Wonder if they are letting people use it for campfires?

Got friends coming to take me to dinner. In meantime, will do some cleaning and class work.

'Morning ladies
I've been MIA for almost a month. Have missed you but will have to wait until later today to catch up as I still have a couple of things to take care of before the bad weather hits here. We are already under flash flood watch and schools all across north AL are dismissing students at noon. Our TORCON is a 8 for this afternoon and tonight (a 80% chance of tornados within 50 miles)
Prayers for Nancy's granddaughter and you too Donna.
We are still struggling with younger niece's situation. She started spiking high fever about 3 weeks ago and doctors cannot find cause for it. Two rounds of IV antibiotics along with 2 of those 23 hour stays in the ER. Chemo had to be suspended once again but she has been fever free for several days now so think might be able to resume chemo by end of week.
Wishing all a safe day

Tons of wind and rain still here. Has been a steady downpour all morning so far with lots of localized flooding. Nothing severe tho, luckily. I get really nervous when it is really windy out. Just the sound of it makes me nervous and restless and now the constant rain is making that worse. Haven't slept very good for several nights now.

Took my dad to the doctor this morning and am back home hunkered down under a blanket. I feel a nap coming on but with the winds still howling, not sure that will happen. Lola thinks it's a good idea tho. :D

Hope those of you south of here stay safe and dry! Gonna be a long week with bad weather! Glad that Carol and Bill decided to stay in NM until this all passes.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
