Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday Morning, and the rain is still coming down...

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Tue Apr 08, 2014 3:23 am

Morning greetings from rainy GA.... It has rained for the last 4 days with a constant downpour since 3pm yesterday....hopefully the weather man is correct and it will end about Noon today...at least it seems to be a somewhat warm rain....will keep ya' posted on that... ;)

Good thing Ernie went out yesterday to the store, as I have a feeling that the "spillway" at the pond is probably not passable.....bet we see gators today....they love it when things flood here...  Good thing I got a book to read and a crocheting project going, along with the TV to keep me entertained....

Coffee is ready, but looks like scrambled eggs and toast or cereal today, as the patio is flooded and I can't get to my toaster/convection oven out there....

Have a great day, all...and we'll try to keep dry here....

Mornin' Lori & all that follow. How nice you got a full nights sleep yesterday. Hopefully the trend will continue. How does Spinner react when he sees gators? Bet he want to tear them up, but they are not chickens for chasing etc.

And Sarah - how scary for you with all the cops & shooting at home. I would have been hiding out in the basement just in case strays went thru windows.

Have a good day everyone and stay safe on the roads if you are traveling.

Good Morning Lori, Cheryl and all who follow,

Cloudy here this morning but sun trying to break through. Some rain showers around here and there. Supposed to be a bit cooler today, in the upper 40's, but that's okay. Weekend is looking outstanding, highs possible in low 60's. Snow is really going down.

Sorry to hear that you are still getting soaked on Lori. At least you are getting rain and not the more dangerous weather that's associated with that storm system. My cousin lives in Pensecola and she posted some pictures of her yard. We are all asking when she put in the swimming pool

Not much doing here today. Few errands in town. Thought today was my appt. to get Medicare stuff taken care of, need supplemental insurance etc., but it's tomorrow morning.

Realtor came yesterday and gave me a good listing price on house. Now to decide what I want to do. No hurry here. Am heading north for a week, next week anyway.

So, am going to move along here and head to town in a bit. Everyone have a nice day, try and keep dry if you are in the rains and safe in the storms.

Good morning Lori, Cheryl, Sue & everyone!

Lori, thanks for breakfast! Hopefully the rains will end soon for you!

Sue, that's great that you'll have a chance to get away for awhile. Hopefully you won't have anymore snow between now and then.

Sarah, how is your niece doing?

It's raining here in Ocala but the temperatures are pleasant and we've been able to spend lots of time outside lately because it's been warm and sunny. Quite a few people pulled into the park yesterday, probably laying over on their way north. I hope everyone has a pleasant day!

Mornin' to all! Sunny this a.m. so that's one good thing! Hopefully, everyone's doing well.

Today I'm going over to help one of my clients get herself organized. She wants to clean out her closets and get some long overdue stuff done. She's had cancer and with chemo and radiation and other things just can't do it herself, so I volunteered. If weather stays nice maybe this afternoon I'll take one of my own dogs for a short walk. Not much doing this week, business is a bit slow.

Lori, sorry it's still raining, but at least you're warm & dry inside and you don't have to shovel the stuff!

Sarah, that was such a frightening situtation at your house! Those poor ladies!

Thanks for the coffee, girls! Have a wonderful day!
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Sunny and breezy here this morning.
Heading out shortly to go pick up my kayak!
Later on, just laundry and bill paying

Have a great day, rain or shine! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

It's get away day!! Once I get myself together, I am off to Quartzsite to spend a couple days with Carolb! I am not anti-social, but I do like lots of uninterrupted time to myself - LeRoy just doesn't get it no matter what I say so I eventually hit the overload mark. I hit it last Friday. Carolb and I do well together as far as our own time and space - plus she doesn't talk on and on about inconsequential things. I'll quit complaining and remark that the man does do a lot of very nice things for me - we just aren't on the same planet at times.

Sarah, you have had more than your share of things!

Vickie, hope Ronnie is doing better!

We have had some good desert spottings - big horn, a couple of snakes (no rattlers yet when I'm along), a hawk's nest with chicks and the saguaro are budding and starting to bloom. Friday we will leave for an overnight ride to Crown King, an old mining town (north of Phoenix I think). We'll trailer the ATVs quite a way before starting the ride. It was to be a one day deal, but the friends going with us are 80ish and asked to make it an overnight. The 'cheapskates' picked rooms over a saloon with no private bath - I am not thrilled but hoping I'll be surprised. 'Course if the saloon is noisy, I'll be closing it up because I won't be able to sleep!! :)

Plans for the Alaska trip are taking shape. The Kansas GTG just gets more exciting as more of you sign up!!

Have a good day and safe travels. Hope we hear from Kathleen soon!

How nice of you! Thought I'd pass along this tip I saw a while back (on Good Morning America maybe), but it takes a season or a year to see the results. In your closet, put all the hangers backwards instead of hanging things the usual way. Then after a season / year, all the hangers that are still facing the wrong way are clothes you never wore. Get rid of them.

Makes sense to me. That's why the book Men Are from Mars Women Are From Venus was written :D

Good Evening all!

I missed morning coffee for a ton of days, but I am here tonight for evening wine and supper! We had a ton of rain all day here in Orlando, and the temperature has dropped at least 15 degrees. However, the skies seem to be clearing so maybe I can catch Mars tonight at its brightest.

I will be heading north again before too many more days----about two weeks, I guess. Not looking forward to the trip, as usual, but am looking forward to seeing Orion, Mandy, and Joe back in the north country.

This house has been made to look like new again, at least outside, and now, next year, I will try to update the interior some more. I hope to see about a dozen more huge roses planted by my father in 1980 to bloom before I have to leave.

Those of you on Facebook I stay in contact with, but the rest of you I really miss out on when I can't find the time to get on here. I wish there were some easier way to stay in touch, as I am very impatient when it comes to getting online these days. So much to do before I have to hitch and haul my way north. Sigh.

I miss many of you, don't know even more of you who are new, and wish I were more disciplined to get on here more often. But.....I am who I am, and it is lazy and not very dependable!

Hugs to you all, from me and Molly and Dinah.

Happy travels!

How funny you should mention that tip Cheryl! Jane said the same thing as we were emptying her closet! We took out a ton of clothes and I think she feels good about getting it done. Now she's thinking up new projects for me to help with.
