Friday, Friday, Friday...Morning to All ! Guess you can tell I'm glad it's Friday Something always feels good about the Weekends..Guess it's a Memory Chip ...cause when I use to work..(oh my that W word ) I would always look forward to the Weekend...Have the motor home ready and critters loaded and heading out to the Dog Show...LOL (now that was work) but, it was the rush of the Get A Way...seeing people that were psyched up as much as I ..after our mad dash during the daytime of showing our dogs..the evening was sit around and just tell our stories..but, little did I know then..I also enjoyed where I was...I mean the locations..sometimes in the neatest fields..and the towns that I would drive through..Yep, I was hooked RVing and didn't even realize it then...and through the years as I started slowing down showing..I still did my Get A Ways..Gosh...I guess I have Hitch Itch huh ????? Oh Yeah...Smokin.....see, ya never get rid of that fever !!!

Sparkle..feels we need an English Teacher..might say that..but then again..it's been years and years that we've developed this "New" Language..some of us still have trouble figuring it out..now me... I'm sometimes caught in a revolving door..when I chat with my family I speak one language..come on line and type another, try to hold a conversation with the average "Joe" ..and hello where am I ..You might be right..but then again..

Bluepinecones (Sarah) shares with us info on Bird Count...and here I thought she was counting some of us with Bird Names..see ya learn somethin new every day On line .... Does my Hawk count...I see him/her daily..infact yesterday with that wonderful storm that rolled through..Charlie was complaining too me...I finally had to tell Charlie..give it a rest ..he sure was loud..! I'd count him out if he don't quit !!!!!

Echo,...she's on a Head count ..well...what can I say... Mmmmm just can't wait to see who next is counting..Wait dar gum it.. Me and LIzzie is counting the minutes for when we're gonna get our call backs...there ya go...see..told ya things are catchy here..

RvGranny (Lori and Ernie ) are beaming...3rd new arrival...wooooooo hoooooooo...and it's a pretty girl too..neat name..Irelynn...sure will be the luck of the Irish for sure.. Congrats Lori and Ernie...!!!

Mtngal..(Diana) wants to start a column on all joining in on Weight Loss..that's always interesting...many variables..and always challenges..motivation is good and helpful..ie support groups are great...So good luck to all that enter..and big thing share them recipes and ideas...that is so important...

RV Gal...good to see you post too ... hope all is well with you ...we love hearing from you...on what you have been up too...

Asirimarco (Carol and Bill)...that show in El Quelite is amazing..Yeppers I'm big into the Horses..Lippizan Stallions....see show me anything with Critters and I Zoom in... I do believe it was either 60 minutes or 20/20 that did a show on this special breed...thanks again Carol..we all look forward to your pictures and stories..

Ok, it's that time for me... my meeting with the GM was uneventful as I had nothing to report..as of yet..however, I am working on a format which has to be approved to go out in our local paper in our community where the home owners need to fill out..ie info on critters they have in household ..what type or size..and a little about why the info is important...To Recuse You and Your Critter...but it's still in the planning stage and then once that's done I'm writing a program to install in their computer that when a 911 call comes in..and Recuse contacts our Community Guard..that he can enter name or address and pull up if they have critters on premises..sooooooooo now off to the kitchen...

Coffee pot is perking..Kettle is Whistling...and uh oh.. Goodies are on the table..remember moderation is the Key to anything in life...so iffn' ya want to indulge..go lightly..take a smaller piece ..but enjoy too....

Good Snowy Friday to you all from the north country of NY State! We have several new inches of the pretty fluffy white stuff out there, and it's a little above zero F., so not too unbearably cold.

We get to wear jeans to school today, as per every Friday, and contribute to some needy fund----I think it's the local food pantry this week. It's been a nice 4-day week as we had Monday off for Presidents' Day!

I hope you all have a fun day for yourselves, doing something special (other than dieting!) Stay in touch, and keep us posted on all those fun things out in RV land! Time to read posts and email and get dressed and out the door! I supose I need to weigh myself this morning, too, to see just how much I need to lose and how fast I can lose it all! ACK!!

Good morning everybody, sunshiny and chilly morning here in FL. They're predicting another hard freeze for tonight....enough, already!

Yep, those scales don't lie. Mtngal got us looking, gotta start on those extra 5 pounds. Maybe having to report on progress will motivate us to actually make some progress. Goal for today...avoid those sugary snacks & desserts, plus get outside (away from the kitchen) and do something. Hope it warms up enough to want to be outside. Possibilities that need doing...continue cutting & clearing brush in backyard, clean the pool and pool screen needs it too, or go for a long walk with Roe. Hmmm...

The supervisor at the city building inspector's office came yesterday, and decided sure enough, more needs to be done on that wall to bring it up to code. So, back to the building contractor and see how quickly we can accomplish it and at what cost???? Sure will be glad to get my house back. I remember feeling this way a year ago when Lowes was doing their disastrous work in my house. Remind me....no more projects for me.

Have a super constructive day....or, if not constructive, at least fun!

I'll be on the move today. Got the truck positioned last night but decided to wait until morning to lower the TT onto the hitch. Its darned cold. Even with 2 electric heaters running all night it was only 60 degrees in here in the morning. So I'm treating myself to a little Propane heat.
Gotta finish hitching, stowing, showering, dumping, then down off the mountain to get new tires on the TT. Then on my way.

Morning All. Peaches and I were going to leave yesterday for my g/f's for a couple days. However, I decided to keep my germs to myself. I am feeling better, so if my g/f is not skeered of my germs, will head there today and come back tomorrow afternoon. Peaches just loves Conni, so will be a treat for her also.

Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

Brrrrr The sun is shining bright on my back porch but it sure is cold out there this morn. Temps right around 20f but the wind is blowing pretty good so it makes it even colder. Only suppose to be about 38 today. Dang weather. Tomorrow it's suppose to be warmer, high 40s but then they are calling for a wintry mix.

I am all showered and dressed. Decided not to wait until last thing. And besides if I do and I'm still in the shower or at least the bathroom when Kelly gets up she gets grumpy. sheesh! I've told her that if I were married to her I would dump her azz. She's a major grumpy puss in the mornings. Every once in a while I get a hair crossways and just get after her about it, I rag and pick. Call her my little loving ray of sunshine. Ohhhhhh!!!!

Jenny has come down sick, she went to the clinic yesterday and the verdict is that she has walking pneumonia. So of course she's grumpy too but at least I don't really have to deal with her grumpiness. That's David's job. Have no idea what was going on this morning but they were having words in the hall before he left for class this morning. ~sigh~ Young love, isn't grand.

Having one heck of a time here trying to post this morning. My fingers aint hitting the keys my brain is telling them to. Not to even mention that sometimes they run away with themselves sometime and type faster than my brain is spelling out the words. ? Is that possible? I think so. And I would guess ya'll know what I'm talking about.

Barbz still wishing you the very best of luck with your campaign on the dogs down there. Most of the time ya just got to keep plugging away at them before they notice and then you can get things changed.

Beth, hope ya have a really good visit with your friend! Glad to hear your feeling better. I'm now on the down hill slide with my coughing crud. And I am so glad too, my ribs were getting really sore and my throat was feeling rough from all the coughing.

As to the dancing horses. I seen the Lipizzaner Stallions do a show. My Dad took me to one when I was in my early teens. OH MY GOD how beautiful. I was an absolute horse freak when I was younger. Kinda still am but have it under better control. HA!!! Have owned 2 and always wanted another one but it just never worked out that way. I have really kicked around the idea that when we finally have an RV to workamp at a dude ranch somewhere. Might not be a kid any more but I figure my hands can still handle a shovel and fork to clean stalls. Have wanted to do a camp trip on horse for years. Just might still happen too.

Opps!!! The resident grump is up and alive!!! Ohhhh! LOLOLOL Kelly is out here in the kitchen and Jenny just went in the bathroom. ?? I think I just heard the shower curtain rings slide? Oh he77 might be war in the house!!!! I'm gonna run for cover.

Good morning everyone!

I hit the road early today as i had my annual physical yesterday and got the order for the usual annual bloodwork (fasting) so I got myself to the hosptial this a.m. so I could come home and have b'fast and coffee. Now that's done for another year unless something unusual happens along the way.

Today I'll finish my taxes. Will push through that and get them filed. I want that done too before i head back to work on Monday. If I get them done and have enough time left I'll watch a movie from Netflix before i head out to the basketball games late this afternoon. both our girls and boys varsity teams are playing in the finals for our league title. I expect the boys will win and the girls have a good chance too if their injuries are healed and back off the bench.

Cold but sunny start to the day here. Should warm enough for Nicky to have a play date this afternoon.

I'm back to the bookkeeping chore. Quicken is a great SW package for tracking finances but it sure requires a lot of "feeding" if you want really good, detailed report on where your money is spent. Some interesting surprises there if you haven't been paying close attention throughout the year.

The stock market is dropping again this morning. Sure makes it tempting to pull what $ left and hide it somewhere. Like so many others, thought I'd saved enough for comfortable retirement only to watch it evaporate in these troubled economic times. I do have faith it will recover but the time issue is not on the side of seniors.

Okay, off to find a fun project before going back to the books.

Looks like it'll be another nice day in Oregon. I'm sure Molly and I will go to the beach in a little while - high tide is about 10:30 so we'll go after that.
I got my rock tumbler yesterday so I need to find a place to put it and start it up !! I'm excited to get started with this new project.

YES, Trudy....can you post a picture of your rock tumbler? What kind did you get? How much power does it use? How many agates will it hold? I can't WAIT to see how it works....hurry up and set that puppy up!!!!

Can you tell I've always wanted to get me a rock tumbler??!! Just could never justify it while kids were still so needy for school tuition and school supplies, etc. etc. BUT NOW! I am beginning to get me a few toys!

Trudy, I got a Lortone and it is pretty quiet. I am on the second grind now(have to rinse them off tomorrow). The only thing that makes it complicated is doing this in the winter when I can't take it all outside to rinse. You can not rinse this stuff down your drains as it will set up like concrete and clog your pipes. When I get done with the first batch I'll post some pics. These are gems that Olivia and I "mined" for in NC this summer.

Soos, it depends on the size of the stones you are tumbling. The one I got holds 3 lbs of rock.

I can't wait till they get finished. BTW, this was something I got for my granddaughter...guess who likes it more!

I have a jar of agates I picked up on the Oregon coast the year I spent out there, now serving as a doorstop in my bathroom. They are all small stones, so I wouldn't need a very large tumbler,

I can't WAIT to see some pictures of your newly polished gems!!
