Sunny Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Monday

Postby bluepinecones » Mon Feb 10, 2014 7:54 am

Finally there was SUN yesterday and it warmed to 70+ with a breeze. The sky was clear last night (and chilly enough to need heater on low since sun went down) and filled with stars. Hoping it will stay warm and dry at least a few more days.

Took advantage of the warmth to get my hair washed again only to discover there are no plugs in the bath house (no way to use hair dryer). Hadn't thought to look for the plugs earlier. Anyway it was not unpleasant sitting in the sun/wind to let it dry tho I really had not wanted to get back of my clean shirt wet. I need to get this long hair cut to more easily manage on trips.

I visited with some of the interesting folks I've met here, dumped and flushed holding tanks, walked Nicky a few of times before heading to the shower mid afternoon. Skin is tender… think I might have gotten a little bit of sun burn on left side of my face and arm. I have to remember if sun is out to apply some sun screen.

Thank goodness there is a generous forum member living not too far away (near St Cloud, I'm in Melbourne). I totally forgot Monday week is Presidents Day and Friday is Valentines Day. With that combination think everyone in FL who owns an RV must be joining all the snow birds filling up every campground within 200 miles. I'll be relocating to her house until I can get back into a campground.

Looks like another sunny day here - be still my heart - that will be two days in a row.

Have a good one.

Good Morning everyone,

Glad to hear the sun is out in FL finally. Hope it stays there for you. Nothing much to report from the frozen north this morning. Just routine winter days, some sun, some clouds, maybe a few snow flakes thrown in. Cold though.

Waiting for vet office to open so I can call and see if I can take Sassy in today. She has a little growth over her right eye that somehow either got knocked and tore open or just popped open by itself. So want to get it checked out. Is one of those little things that needs to be taken off but not critical as to put her out to just do that. Vet said he would do it if we decide to have her teeth cleaned or something where he had to knock her out for a bit. So we shall see what happens here. Maybe just leave it to grow back over with a little treatment today.

Otherwise will be going back to working in house. New TV stand being delivered today as well. Have a great day all

Good Morning... Boy Sarah I have admired your long hair... mine never would grow even when I was young, guess I have to keep it short!
We had a beautiful day here also. And today will be warmer maybe 75... Just perfect when it is below zero at home...
It looks like the impromptu short GTG out west was fun doing what we do best eat and gab!! Sure is fun getting to know everyone...
Today Michael is going to put the bed back over the cab... it is dry and with the hard rain we have had it would have leaked by now... I hope the mattress is ok and does not smell of dampness...
Off to have coffee and see what is going on in cyber space...

I'm glad someone has some sun. It's gray here with rain coming. Sarah, be glad you are in Florida. The forecast for North Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama doesn't look good. There is suppose to be more ice and snow. We are not suppose to get more ice down here. I hope they are right.

I need to go to the grocery store but knowing me I will fool around until the rain gets here. Still haven't called to see about getting my car serviced. And 2 of the cats need to go to the vet for their shots. We'll see if I can get any of that done this week. My DH and the neighbor took off with the 4-wheeler to take it to the shop. It has a short again and won't start. That is the most used thing on the place. I hope it's not going to be like the old one, in the shop all the time.

I'm only running errands today -- but at least there's sun to brighten the snowdrifts!

Anita, how was the Chihuly? I've seen a good bit of his work, but never a garden display. I'll bet that is wonderful!

Good morning! -8* below this morning but the sun is out. Luckily, no wind either so no windchills.

Need to stop at the vet to get more meds for Coco and then get my interior lights in my Jeep looked at because they won't turn off, and a couple other stops along the way. Not looking forward to getting out in the cold tho! Another couple days tho, and it will be down right balmy at 30 degrees! Yay! :D

Other than that, reading, bill paying, napping and maybe a load of laundry for the rest of the day.

Hope you all have a warm, sunny day no matter where you are! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

The Chihuly exhibit was fantastic! What a wonderful morning I had in the sun.

I have a blog post ready, but remembered I haven't started a 2014 blog. Got an error message, Googled it and found I am not alone - it has been around awhile and Google is aware but no fix. I did post on FB. I am running out of time right now but will post here later or on a different blog site.

Love Chihuly. We drove to Atlanta a few years ago to see the Chihuly exhibit at the Botanical Garden at night. Discovered there is a Chihuly museum in Tampa -- small, but gorgeous and so worth the visit.
