Sparkle, I'm sorry Shona is gone, but I agree that she found a favorite place to cross over. My big dog Maddie kept slinking off into the bushes in the snow.

I know Shona is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. If you're like me, you'll get bowled over by a thundering herd of fur-kids who have escorted you to the Bridge, one section at a time.

What a wonderful full life she had with you! I know you are grieving for her but you gave her what all our furbabies need. A long life in a loving home. Hugs to you!

Marslet, good question. Yes, I did and still am searching for her when I go on a walk with Bogie. I'm right at the edge of a wooded area. Everytime the wind ruffles the fallen leaves I think for a moment I see her.

Sparkle so sorry Shona is gone, but she's not forgotten and the rustling of the leaves is her letting you know she's still around and happy :)

Sparkle, so sorry to hear about Shona. Animals seem to have a better grasp on dying than we do. They know when it is their time and they also know when it's ours. I believe it was a resident cat in a nursing home that would come to the bed of a terminally ill patient and sleep on his or her bed until the end came. Cheryl

Sparkle, so sorry to hear about Shona. So happy she had you for a mother all these years and you had her to build memories with, at least she was loved and she knows it. Hugs and a prayer go out to you.

Just got back from a motorcycle trip and this was the first post I read....so very sorry about Shona, but I'm glad that she made it back to her favorite place. Big hug to you, GF. I'm sure she's still around keeping an eye on you. Orchid's right, for some reason animals always know. Sammy knew when his dad was going and refused to get off of the bed that night..I threw him off 3 times and then just gave up..stayed with him all night and didn't get off the bed until 9 the next morning when he passed. Don't worry about a cat sleeping with you, Sammy's been sleeping on the bed ever since and I'm still here!!

Wonder how long until Shona brings you another kitty??

No no no! Shona was my last cat while traveling. She peed everywhere in the last year. I've had to shampoo the dinette seats - I ended up with sheets of aluminum foil over them. No aliens on my chairs! I'm going to have to replace the carpet. When I sat at the desk waves of cat pee would rise up. AND I had a whopping big covered cat litter box. If I can figure out where to put a bird cage I might get a bird. Have to board it though when I go to Mexico.

Yep, that's what I said, Sparkle, when Rocky died. That lasted 2 years until God put Bandit in my life. Never say never.
