Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday, I think

Postby carolb » Tue Oct 22, 2013 7:40 am

Good morning all! :D

Everyone sleeping in today? I did! I expect by the time I finish writing this, there'll be someone else posting already  Missed a day, & y'all know how that goes!

Wish I had some of those Red Lobster biscuits for breakfast--they're the best, eh??? Glad to hear the mixes are now available!!!

Liz, in Ocala! All set for the Silver Springs gtg? Ava & Lyn, glad to hear of your gtg! Snow flurries for some of you??? Some in our forecast for the next couple days--just in time for the delivery of our new garden shed, so bro & I will be out there getting ready for it. It's being built by the Amish as we speak!

Not much else going on, just to say y'all have a great day, & as always, safe travels! 8-)

Sitting at Honda dealership waiting on service. Looks like new tires for the Honda may be on the ticket....these are original (2009) and showing some sidewall cracks.

Eye dr. appt. yesterday was fine, but will likely need cataract surgery next year. Borderline right now.

Slowly ticking off the list of must dos before getting on the road again. My annual visits to Florida sure do get expensive, lol.

Cool front expected in the next day or so. I'm ready for it. It's been hot and very humid since I got here.

Everyone have a great day!

Morning from the snowy 45th here in northern Michigan

Even got a little snow on the pumpkin as you can see :) Little take off from "frost on the pumpkin" saying. It's a bit early for this stuff and this kind of cooler weather, but not unusual. So Carolb, you will be seeing some white stuff floating around by you I'm sure.

Going to be a good day to just be inside and get some things done here. Have load of wash done and in the dryer, bill in the mailbox and I should really get dressed and out of my jammies and do more stuff around here. Have a bed to finish changing from my weekend company, bathroom to clean and house to vacuum  But not in any hurry to get a move on here. Also need to download pictures from the Otsego Lake State Parks Halloweenfest and get them over there. They have the ones on the parks camera and a lot of min are duplicates of those, but there are some that are not. Today's agenda as well.

Liz, sounds like your annual trips to FL do get expensive. But soon you will be on the road again and heading to Silver Springs. Hard to believe that GTG is coming up already. Seems like you just posted about it and were on your way to MI. I have one more eye doc appt. too, this one to get a new prescription for new glasses.

I need to get caught up with the going on's on the forum here, if there is such a thing. Way behind. Peggy is back in CT and Soos is on the raod. Ava and Lyn had a GTG and heavens knows what else is doing with everybody. Not to set off any alarm bells  but November 3 is changing over from daylight savings time again and also there's only 37 days till Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season.

Gotta get a move on here like I said, so will sign off and get going. Hope you all have a great day out there. Drive safe if on the roads and enjoy the travels.

Good morning everyone. It looks so beautiful up in Sue's area, but cold :? Carol is having an Amish shed installed today :P . Liz, with expensive, annual body and RV maintenance :P Donna hiding from the heat :? Many getting ready for and having GTGs. I so want to be at all of them!!! :P

Went out yesterday to run the generator and it would not start. Nothing. The light blinks 3 times, pause, 3 times, etc and continues blinking for 5 min after trying. The manual says that means service needed. We had the oil changed while in Red Bay in July. I hope it's just a computer reset or something. I have an appt. to take it to the dealer on Thursday. At least it is still under warranty.

It is in the 50s this morning and will reach the 70s this afternoon. I enjoy the cool weather. Off to find food and coffee. Aloha

Good Morning,

Cloudy in N.C. with chance of rain.

Pretty snow, Sue! Red, so frustrating when something doesn't work like it should. Carolb, so nice to have your brother around for projects!

I finally got the laundry all done! Also made travel plans yesterday and this morning. With the weather getting cooler, I decided to not dilly dally after I visit with my nieces week after next and will head to Florida and near the little town of Wauchula on the Peace River.

Hope you all have a good day whatever it brings.

Sue, beautiful pics! Love the little scarecrow doll! We had a couple of snow flurries here yesterday but nothing on the ground. Just cold and windy! Reluctantly got out my winter coat for work.

Need to make some phone calls today before heading off to work. Time to set up some annual doctor appointments before the end of the year. Don't know if my insurance will be changing after that, so need to take advantage of it now while it is affordable!

Hope you all have a good, safe, happy day! :D

In the Pacific Northwest we have had cool but sunny weather for the past week and it is expected to continue at least thru next Monday. That's unusual because we usually have rain rain rain. Some of the west coast ladies are meeting this weekend in Silverton, Oregon, and the weather will be perfect! The fall colors are going strong!

And it's my morning here in California - even if it is almost 3. Got up about 1. Starting OT this week - 6 pm to 4:30 am today through Saturday. Bedtime will be around 6 am :) I need to quit trying to catch up on the forum when I get home - end up staying up way too late, and now it'll be worse!

Am loving the California weather which is still a tad above normal. It's chilly overnight, but sunny and gorgeous during the day. Have to always remember to take a sweater to work with me or I shiver on the way home.

The leak under my sink/stove area is somewhat controlled by not using direct water, but still occurs when using the pump and doing dishes, etc. Going to have to decide what to do about it ... pita ... Still have stuff from that cabinet sitting on the floor. Ah, probably not too major, but impossible to get to!

CarolB, here is a recipe for Red Lobster loaf pan bread. I got it off of facebook. Haven't tried it yet. If you whip up a batch let us know if it's any good.

Red Lobster's Cheese Biscuit in a loaf pan.

3 cups flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
4 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into 1/4 inch cubes
1 1/4 cups milk
3/4 cup sour cream
3 Tablespoons of butter, melted
1 egg, lightly beaten

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan with oil. In a bowl, whisk together the first 5 ingredients. Carefully stir in cheese cubes until covered in flour mixture, this will help prevent your cheese sinking to the bottom of your loaf of bread.

In a different bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients. Fold the wet mixture into the flour and cheese mixture, stir until just combined, do not over stir. Spread the mixture into the loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes and then remove from pan. Allow to cool for one hour before slicing and serving.
