Thursday...sigh

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday...sigh

Postby carolb » Thu Oct 10, 2013 5:18 am

Good morning all! :D

Hope y'all are waking to a good day! Today begins the influx of siblings for our reunion. Lucky me, I don't have to "house" anyone--so my housecleaning isn't done yet

Tina, you have great hair/cut! Yep, no reason to wear your hair for others. I don't have "others," so that's easy for me-- well, the dogs, but they've never said a word  On the road, I'm for anything EASY! :D Sharon, you definitely are ready to go home if you were bored enough to hit the bottle

Wow, I'll be leaving here in about a month! Can't wait, especially reading about everyone's plans/movement--& Pedro's underwear :o

Off for more coffee--y'all have a great day, safe travels always! 8-)

Carol is off for more coffee and I'm headed to bed. Carol, I was worried when I saw the sigh in your subject line.

Mitch, I wish I could take pictures in Amazon. Alas, I cannot. I met Pedro tonight. Told him he had to come to Mexico.

Good Morning
Missed a few days here so will take me a while to catch up.

Finally got results on niece PET scan. The other cancer doctor suspected did NOT show up so she is now cleared to schedule breast removal surgery. Also thanks to Mitch posting about the post surgery test that helps determine the need for chemo, we are trying to get her pre-apporved for it. Niece has so many other health issues it has been stressful nightmare just to get things coordinated among various doctors.

Got all the interior work (cleaning, painting, etc) finished on the rental house. Waiting for contractor to repair porch ceiling and another to service central unit then it will be ready to rent again. Sure hope can get it rented quickly as I sure do not want it empty with winter coming.

Vertigo flared up again on Sunday. Been a while so thought it was gone. It has settled back down but guess am going to have to remember not to get over confident and be more careful especially when bending over and turning around.

Welcome to all our new members and happy birthday to any I have missed.

We've been having some really great fall weather tho I haven't had much chance to get out and enjoy. Just seeing the sunshine is a big help anyway. Not much leaf color yet and some are falling already.

Wishing all a fun day.

Good Morning everyone,

I too haven't been on here lately. So need to wish belated or current Happy Birthdays to all I've missed and also to send out a cheery welcome to all you new ladies who have joined.

Had an uneventful trip home from the U.P. on Monday and have been busy here at home since I got back. Mainly do to this season we call fall. Cleaned up a pile of pine needles from under my big pine, cut my grass and used my new leaf blower on some other areas. Will be lots more to come yet. Also been running a few errands. Spent some time yesterday over at neighbors cutting some of her grass while another neighbor was going around with his leaf vacuum, picking up leaves and pine needles. So between us, we got her looking good over there now.

So today is off to grocery store, bank and then home. Need to wash Flex from being in U.P. Have company coming tomorrow for weekend at least. State Park is having their Halloweenfest this weekend and both of us are going over to help out, me taking pictures and she in whatever she gets into. Also need to get into some serious window washing here while the weather is so nice.

So with that, I am taking off. Wishing you all a great day out there. Travel safe if on the road and enjoy the lovely fall weather wherever it may be. It won't last long.

Good Morning,

Carolb, that 'sigh' had me wondering as well!

Beth, maybe you'll have to invite Pedro out for a cuppa so you can photo him. ;)

Sarah, I'm glad there was some good news for your niece. My younger daughter has been called back for a 2nd mammogram and an ultrasound. After reading why they do ultrasounds, I am going with the thought that she has 'weird' boobs that mammograms don't read well. Doesn't mean there isn't concern tho.

Sue, I so enjoyed my time in the UP 2 years ago.

Yucky weather and cleaning to do! Still trying to do a blog on the last day in New York City! I really shouldn't take so many photos! :)

Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone. Got up early and took Tyler for an hour walk. It was cool enough for long sleeves this AM. But will be in the 80s this afternoon. Trying to get me and my joints in shape for Disney World. I am not very active on a day to day basis. Trying to change that. So Disney World is my motivation. I need to be able to be on my feet for extended time without killing me. DH has a mobility scooter and will share with me. However, his energy levels will not keep up with mine and I plan on closing the park a least a few nights. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha

Add me to the ranks of the disabled! Started the coach this morning getting ready to pull out of my sons place to head home and air wouldn't build up. No air=no brakes. Mobile repair should be here around noon, I'm hoping it's just the dump valve and not a leaking hose somewhere that will take forever to find. Right now I'm loving Coach-Net, but we'll see after this guy gets here. Mike from C-N assured me this guy knows what he's doing. We'll see. Called rv park and changed reservation, called my dad and changed lunch date and called Crabtree RV and changed appt to get step motor installed. Hooked electric back up and leveled coach. Even if the guy gets it fixed today it'll still be to late to leave. I'm praying that it's not a part that has to ordered from Monaco...that would be a minimum of a week for it to get here and installed.

And then I think about Mitch and I'm embarrased to be whining about this. Deep breath Sharon, and count your blessings!

It's a gorgeous day here on the mountain, life could be so much worse! Going in to see DIL and see if she wants me to pull a steak out of the freezer for dinner tonite since she's stuck with me for another night at least.

Will C-N fix this? Or you just called them and they sent out a tech that you will have to pay? Either way - COOL.

Drive your car here while you wait for the part. Don't need no stinkin' RV...

And hey - don't be embarrassed - I'm getting used to not having 4 pounds of old boobs crushing my rib cage!

Well rats, Sharon - I know you are ready to hit the road. Yes, I also kick myself for whining about the bumps in the road when others are climbing hills.

I have seen girls in town wearing what sure looked like boys boxer shorts. When I was working and would stop at a store on my way to work there would be women in there in their pj's and fuzzy slippers. Most of the time I won't even go to town in shorts.

Our weather has been beautiful, not too hot and cool nights. Looks like it will be a good weekend to camp. I need to start walking again since the bugs aren't so bad. It's hard to get down the road without a cat or two following me.

My DH likes to watch the cattle auction on TV. They have been selling Red Angus since yesterday. When someone will pay $30,000 for a cow it nice to know there are still people with more money than sense.

My son is waiting for some shoes to come in the mail. If they come today I will probably bring them to him and go grocery shopping for the weekend. Try to get most things done in advance because it takes me forever to get on the road.

The other day my cell phone said No Service so I turned it off and back on. When it came on the display is upside down and backwards. I don't want another phone but looks like it's on it's last leg. I can get a used one on e-bay for not very much which is what my sister did. It makes me mad that every time I get another phone I have to get all new chargers. That's a racket the phone people have going.

Sharon, sorry you have another problem. Hope it's something they can find and fix.

It is a beautiful morning here in Bodega Bay, CA! A bit of leftover fog so the fog horn is still going off every 15 seconds, but the sun is out and the wind has died down, so as soon as it warms up a little, I am off on my bike to find the sea lions I heard almost all night! I like animal noises in the night--coyotes, donkeys, birds, owls, and now sea lions.

Ditto on the bending over and turning around. That often kicks off my vertigo also. Now I have both of my hands hurting--the right from my longstanding carpal tunnel problems and my left from my trigger finger, which is aching. I kept it wrapped so it would not bend all night, so hopefully the swelling will be a little better today. Makes it rough to open and loosen things and wring out a dish rag.

Doran Park is a great camping area on a spit of land that cuts right into Bodega Bay. The ocean is about 300 feet in front of me and the bay is maybe 200 feet behind me across the road. Very hard to get into but they do have a few small walk-in places, and I managed to get one I could fit into. No hookups, so hope my propane lasts.

I think I totally confused him..

Long story short - one of the other trainers and I were working together and I saw a shirt go past saying "Pedro" on the back. OMGod, I said. He looked at me and I said "My g/f is fighting breast cancer and plans to meet me to go to Baja shortly and the next plan is to to meet the Pedro of her dreams". Well a while later I was busy doing something else and the other trainer called out, "Beth, I've got Pedro for you" - Poor, poor Pedro. He had no idea what was going on as I told him I was stealing him for my g/f and he needed to come to Baja with me. He smiled and kind of laughed but thought I was nuts and went back to work. Yes, he's a cutie. But I don't think he's willing to come with me, so you'll probably have to find your own Pedro yet. Maybe if we hadn't been working and I'd have had more time to explain and tell him how he'd be helping the cause?
