GOOD MORNING!

YUM! I am drooling here smelling all the goodies you bought outside the dollar store! Holy Cow! I don't know which to choose----maybe one of each??!!

Coffee sure tastes good this morning----Mondays are always tough after two days of lolling around in bed until daylight peeks into my front array of glass windows----one advantage of sleeping in this living room for the winter is that I look out off my front deck into the white pines against the lightening sky and the hungry birds flocking to my feeder. Sort of like sleeping with my trailer door open in the summers! (Sigh---cant' WAIT to get back in there!)

It doesn't seem to matter if ole Punxatawney Phill sees his shadow today, or not, we still have a good 3 months of wintery weather left! Februarys tend to be our coldest months----we shall see. January was no slouch for cold! We had some snow coming down the first week of May last year!

Hope you all have a good day, and keep us posted on your whereabouts! Later.........
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning everyone! It's the first Monday of the month and time for me to do some work on the computer. That's ok, 'cause it's supposed to be chilly, blustery day today with rain coming in. Have to put together the monthly newsletter for the Power Squadron, work on Wed. night's Bible study, and prepare next week's devotional for our Christian Women's fellowship meeting. Hope to get all that accomplished today so can do other things the rest of the week. There's an RV show in Ocala Thursday-Sat. I plan to go Thurs. to check out the vendor's tents....see if I can find anything I otta have for the new rv. Then I'll be camping Friday night....supposed to be cold...will check out how well that heater works.

Watched a little of the Super Bowl and a little of half time before crashing last night. The "kids" and I had our own private Super Bowl Party. Here's a picture of my "party animals"...you see how excited we all were.

Hope everyone has a good day today. (That's me this morning Zeee...still in my slippers!)

Good Morning friends! As Soosie says, it will be lots longer than six weeks,... although I guess for me here in the valley I'll have spring before she does. Early April will be a start and mid-April for sure.

yes, Zeee, I'm back at school . another busy week with basketball games ahead. But no complaints, it's my favorite season.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!!!

Ewwwwww, it's Monday morning. Blech That means back to work for more than a few of us. Yeah we've been stuck with night shift again this week. Only good thing about it is that I will be able to get to the court house and see about getting a duplicate title for the Blazer. If and I do mean 'if' I find a truck in decent shape that I feel we can afford, the Blazer will go as trade so I will sure need that title in hand.

Well my kitchen was clean and looking good yesterday. Now??? HA!!! Ya can tell some cooking went on and that dishes did not get done last night. Oh well they will just have to sit there and wait for me.

As to the game? We didn't even peek in at it. Kelly had CSI on and we watched the CSI marathon. Oh goodness that guy that plays Grisom (sp) is soooooo sexy. My poor little heart goes pitty-pat. He could put his shoes under my bed any time. LOL

I guess I had better go check my email and get my comic fix now that my eyeballs are open! :D Will yak at ya'll later.

Hope everyone has a great day, be safe and stay warm. Can't hardly wait until I can start telling everyone to stay cool!!!!

Love to all

Glad to hear some of you enjoyed the Superbowl last night. We sure did. We had 9 for our party, 7 naked pups, DH & me! But we did have lots of snacks, which I paid for all night. Very sick to my stomach & a headache that will not go away. Don't keep up with the groundhog too much. I figure we'll get what we get. Have to get some treats shipped out today so it's back to the old grind stone.

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

After a beautiful weekend, it is cold, wet and only to get worse here today. Hate the thought of going out in it today but there are a couple of things that must be taken care of on this bleak Monday. I must be part bear - all I seem to want to do this winter is hibernate and put everything off till another day.

Did take advantage of the pretty weekend. Nicky had a play date both days (we've found only 1 dog he likes and they play together as often as possible). I simply sat in the sun and enjoyed watching them play. No Super Bowl for us but I did turn the Puppy Bowl (Animal Planet Network) on for a bit. Nicky has finally gotten past attacking the TV when an animal shows up. He still keeps a close watch on those intruders; guess he thinks they might escape the TV box. So funny.

Checked on sales at a couple of the other antique malls; not good, both loosing money. If things don't pick up by spring I'm going to have to close at least one of them - probably should have already done that. Economic news not favorable for sales to perk up any time soon.

Must try to pick up some of this clutter before Sparkle arrives. Don't want her tripping over anything! Hard to believe one person and dog could make such a mess. To be honest, cannot blame much of it on the dog.

Perhaps I can muster up enough determination to finish up '08 bookkeeping and start on taxes. UGH.

None of that sounds like fun. Think I'll go and develop a plan B for the day.

Morning All. I ended up watching most of the first 1/2 of the game while eating last night. Saw the half-time show, then was playing Texas Hold 'Em - figured, first 1/2 was pretty boring - so didn't mind - then the game got exciting LOL - Some of the people at the table kept jumping up to get closer to the tv. Was interesting.

There were 16 of us playing last night - I finished 6th - never did have a good hand - but managed to limp to that point. Was fun.

On my breakfast break now - started it by walking Peaches over to Lori and Ernie's to say goodbye to them - hate to see them going so soon, but boy was I glad to spend the last couple days with them. This is harder as when we've parted in the past, we always knew we'd be seeing each other in a few or so months. This time, our paths are going different ways and we know it'll be a year or more - unless one of us completely changes directions. Ah, isn't that why this forum is so grand - as we do keep in touch here - pics and all. And, I'm lucky, as Kellie will still be here for a bit. I'm really enjoying getting to know her.

Have a great day everyone.

We still have a lot of the sleet and snow on the ground, I noticed the dogs were having a hard time walking in the yard this morning. We have been lucky to have a couple of warm sunny days over the weekend but its' going to take several more.
I've managed to catch the worst cold I've had in decades! This year just didn't start out well here. My big poodle bloated for the third time on Jan.3rd and to every ones surprise and of course relief survived, but it was touch and go for several days. We have been truly blessed as usually they don't survive the first. Then I had to feed him small meals 6 times a day for a couple of weeks. The really frustrating thing is they have no idea what causes this but it is increasing very quickly in certain of the larger breeds. Lots of research but so far nothing conclusive. After that we had the storm hit and I was really stressed worrying whether our power would stay on. I think the stress just made my body vulnerable for this cold germ. Feeling a bit better today and the sun is shining so that helps

Echo, have you considered selling your Blazer yourself. The dealer will just tell you he is giving you X amount but usually that is pretty close to the amount they would have come down if you didn't have a trade.

Morning everybody and thanks for including me, Zee!

I can never remember whether the groundhog who ducks back in his hole is a warning of more winter but any self-respecting groundhog should have done that this morning. It is drizzly and cold but.....TA DAHHHH, everything is still melting! I could see the surface of the lake this morning when I took Nano (my shih tzu) for a walk. Every other day we could not see for the snow but that snow be a-melting and a-sinking LOL!!

I am proud of myself as I am going to finish rebuilding a cabinet today that once housed a TV in the bedroom (and who needs two TV's when I cannot even get the radio, CD player, or new satellite dish to work yet LOL? I have my new wireless printer to go in the new cabinet and it seems it will work out great!

Still at least two weeks to departure and likely more as I still have to get a replacement for my old passport as I have finally conceded it is irrevocably misplaced...have to head into the house in the next day or two and find the old number as that may speed things up. And my scooter is still at the house but I should be able to get it out here this week and get cracking on practicing for my test. Then, once I have new passport and motorcycle driving licence in hand....I am ALL done!!

If Sheila is still at Q in later Feb and early March I should get to meet her and maybe others...?? I only have one stop (Yakima for a day or two for automotive work) before that. I warn you all that I will still be a real novice at lots LOL. Yesterday I figured out why my black water is draining so poorly... LOL, seems sewage will not travel uphill LOL and my front suspension does not seem all it should be so the jacks were not deploying properly. Some wood blocks helped a lot LOL!! Sorry...TMI, I know!

Off to work with my wood glue (large jug) and my trusty (brand new) tool kit LOL.... Have a great day and week, everyone!!

Redetotry, Yeah I've thought about selling the Blazer outright. I still might do that depending on what I might find and end up doing. Or I just might end up giving it to my son David. It would sure be cheaper to run than his K5 Blazer. That thing is a huge gas hog!!! I told him that it would be but you know how kids are. Especially young males! LOL

Haven't really made up my mind on doing anything about a vehicle. Just depends on if I come across a good enough deal. But I'm looking!
