It's Hard Work..Being a Nurse to You Hoomans..

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Tue Aug 13, 2013 4:57 am

Hello, all...

Well, she's finally home from that place Daddy Dog took her to last week...I was so worried, but Daddy Dog made sure I was safe and somewhere that would take my mind off my Mommy Dog....I went to a fancy, smancy, city Doggy Day & Spa to play and relax with some new friends while he visited with my Mommy Dog in the hospital...(some one said "Horspital"...weird...and place for hoomans and horses?? :?  ) anyways....She's home and walking kinda' slow and says "ouch" alot, but I think she's getting better.....My Aunt Barbie says she needs to do more walking, which I'm all for helping out there, but Daddy Dog thinks I maybe a little to much for Mommy to handle right now, if I take her for a walk like I like, so she's doing that by herself for a few days, while I walk with Daddy Dog...Maybe tomorrow, it will be my turn....But in the mean time, I do all I can to make her feel better, like belly rubs, she loves giving me belly rubs, and snuggles, she loves my snuggles, and here's the best, I get to keep her surgical recovery chair warm while she's up walking in the camper or doing other things....

It's hard work, but someone has to help Daddy Dog make my Mommy Dog feel better...and I do get paid....my favorite puppy treats, don't cha' know... ;)

Anyways, I wanted to give my report to keep you all well informed...Oh, better go stretch some, she's moving again and I got to keep that chair ready for her...

Your friend,
Spinner

Spinner - I know it's hard work. I had to keep Mommy's bed warm for her when she had surgery - I just don't understand why she didn't want me jumping up in bed with her though?!??!? Keep up the good work!

Spinner, Great job adjusting your schedule to accommodate your Mommy Dog......I know with your help she will mend faster and be back to her dog walking, Rving self ASAP, with only a "war wound" to show. :) Thanks for keeping us all in the know.

Good job Spinner - I'm sure Mommy Dog appreciates you keeping her chair ready for her. Glad Mommy Dog is on he mend. Hopefully you can start your walking therapy with her soon.

Hi Spinner, Olive, here. Scarlett says hi, too. You're doing a great job taking care of your Mommy Dog. The most important thing is to let her rub your tummy and give you treats. When you're keeping her chair warm, be sure to roll onto your back and squirm around. Sick Hoomans need lots of our hair on their behinds for fast healing. It's a known scientific fact. Nose licks are good, too. Scarlett says nose licks are the best medicine, but what does she know. She's a Chiweenie. As soon as your Mommy Dog is better you should take her on a long walk with lots of jumping. Jumping is "I love you" in hooman talk. It's a known fact.

Love,
Olive and Scarlett

Hi Spinner, you keep taking care of your Mommy cuz I like her a lot ... and every time you keep her chair warm and let her give you belly rubs, it makes her heal more, you know.

Hope to see you soon,
Peaches

Hi Spinner, Sophie and Baxter here. Its a big responsibility taking care of our hoomans, isn't it? You're doing a great job and I agree with Olive, lots of hair on the behind makes them get well faster. Keep up the good work.

Hey there spinner. Moka girl here. I don't know about helping hoomans get better yet, but my mommy told me I'm going next week to get fixed. I didn't think anything was broken, but she says we will all be happier once I'm fixed! And today my doctor told me that I need to see a dental specialist because I might need doggie braces! Guess I'm a really special girl!

Anyway, good job taking care of that hooman! We have to worry about them and love on them or else they would just fall apart!

Hope to see you again some day.

Hi Spinner,

I SOOO know what you are going through!

Last December my Daddy-Dog got his hip replaced....for the 4th time! Although I wasn't around for the other times...that was way before me , Lilly and Binky came into being.

I wanted to sit on it...I though it would make it feel better....I was only trying to get closer to lick it...I'm only 6 and half pounds, and can't reach all the way from the floor...or even from the edge of the bed! Sigh...I had to wait a few days before I could get up there to do my magic.

But it was so great once I was able to get up there!

When Daddy-Dog did his practice walking...I had to watch out for that thing with the aluminum legs...what freaky Hooman turns tennis balls into feet, anyway? They missed out on a great opportunity. He could have gotten better so much faster if he had chased those balls instead. I could tell they needed wrangling...really bad!

Anyway, I'm so happy you get to help your Mommy and Daddy-Dogs so much...after all, that's all they really need to get well!

Woofs and Licks,

Charlotte
Cindy, 3 dogs, 2 birds, and 1 turtle

I never thought about that! Molly would have a field day trying to get those tennis balls!

PS - finally got the pups pics up - but still mine are 5 yrs old - I need to get a pic somehow :? )
