RV Weight and balance...

I am wondering about the wait and the balance of an RV.. how do you figure out where to put everything in your RV... I am at a loss for this and for the life of me can't figure it out.. could you girls post a few of your tips and hints on how you do this thanks

Try to distribute weight evenly (all four sides of RV).

Put heavy items down low. If towing a trailer put more weight up front ahead of the axles.

I took my rig to our local recycler and weighed it on their scales.

Until you can get it weighed....do the best you can. Figure were the water tanks are....fresh, black, gray...If you have a slide, it adds weight to that side. Just stop and think about where you store your heavier items. Spread that weight around when possible...... Heavier items nearer the floor is also safer. They are less likely to jump from where they are and land on your head.

Plus you want to keep your center of gravity as low as possible - another reason for storing heavier stuff low.

I only weighed once, long, long ago. I do what Tina says - and think about where anything heavier goes. That said, I don't really worry about weight that much. I try not to get heavy things - like my table and chairs are plastic and I tossed two heavier chairs that came with the rig; when I replaced my tv, the new one was way lighter than it's predecessor. So I think about it, but don't overly worry about it.
