Sunday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday Morning

Postby asirimarco » Sun Jan 25, 2009 8:53 am

I got so confused I had to look at the date - Cannot believe I'm the first one here today. I opened Saturdays post and thought - I think I already read this. OMG it's Sunday. Any way - the sun is just coming up over the Gulf here in Huatabampito (don't you just love that name) Looks like it will be a warm and cloudless day. Yesterday had to turn on the air conditioner. This place is starting to get crowded. There are 12 RVs here now. The more users the worse the Internet. We'll be leaving here Tuesday morning going to Las Glorias - where there is no Internet so guess I shouldn't be complaining.
Don't have anything to offer anyone except coffee and have a full pot of that. Need to go to town today to grocery store and get some breakfast goodies.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

good morning
I slept in, but thats cause I was up late trying to watch a movie and fell asleep at the
very end :(
Hoping for another beautiful day, picked up a strawberry plant yesterday and got it
planted, was looking for a tomato plant but didn't find what I wanted. I did however
find a lemon thyme which I have been looking for for many years. Had one in colorado
and I loved it, could smell it everytime I walked by it. Got that planted in a pot on
my steps. So that is the start of my garden :D Will get some seeds for canaloupe,
sugar baby watermelon and would love to plant a pear tree as I saw those at the
nursery too but have to check and see how well they do here, don't want to spend
$20 on a tree and loose it in the heat of summer. The garden gives me good thoughts,
you know positive thinking as I have medical issues on my mind and trying not to
think about it. But it definately can not be ignored. Will post more on that at a later
time. Everybody have a great day and stay safe.

Peaches and I re-watched Sleepless in Seattle last night. Then I went to bed early - without taking her for her last walk of the day - and she just slept through the night. She can be so bad sometimes, so good others. This was a so good time. I must have needed my sleep! Couldn't have anything to do with those margaritas the night before, you think? Anyway, we've been up awhile and had a good walk in the cold, came in and played awhile - and Peaches is back sleeping. Ah, to have her life. Just wish I could help relieve her of a few more of her fears - but she has NO fear of Sparkle - learned early on that she's a good person.

OK, I left My Sister's Keeper for a few days - want to get back to it - great book. If any of you haven't got it yet - please do - it'll make you think - make you cry - make you laugh - and make you think somehow. You'll agree with some things and totally disagree with others. Dang, these books we've been reading are so good.

Have a great day, all.

Ava, I've always felt that anyone on their knees working in a garden is praying. I slept well, woke up at 5.00am, starving! I had only had a cup of soup, cheesecake, and a salad all day. Not intentional. Just sorta forgot. So I get up and there was NOTHING in the house I wanted to eat. So shopping pretty soon. I think Beth needs to go too. So I went back to bed and slept until 9.00.

Was up and in here around 6:30 this morning, but couldn't bring my brain around to post. My GD participated in the Girls Scout's Junior Mall Lock-In...where all the girls go the the mall at 11pm and do girl scout things (and shop and eat, etc) till 6 am. So, I went to bed late last night and had to get up early to go pick her up! Good thing the mall is close by. She is now sleeping and I"m in that "not enough sleep" daze.

Well, I didn't get up til 8. I was dreading getting up & doing more laundry. So far I've done 8 loads!! Oh, I hate coming home from a trip. But it almost done & I've already starting reloading the RV with clean linens.

Carol, I am so envious! Wish I was waking up on the gulf! Hope you guys have a safe trip when you leave Tuesday. And Ava, I'll be buying some herbs for my kitchen garden soon. I didn't plant any basil last year & I missed it so much.

Hope you all have a good day! :D

Good afternoon everyone,....

so far i've run dishwasher, got two loads of laundry done, and vacuumed. My grandson stopped by on his way back to college and serviced my Honda generator and I gave him a haircut. We had a great visit.

His sister's basketball game yesterday was brutal. The j.v. girls lost. She came out of it with a floor burn on her knee, bloody mouth (bands on her teeth) and a bump on her head. She's one of the tallest and does well on rebounds so I guess the other team had figured out she was the one to "control".... she really took some elbows, pushing and tripping to keep her. She only scored 4 pts. Bet she's tired and grumpy today! Our varsity girls are still undefeated, winning by 4 points in an equally difficult game. I guess the other school's coaches stress winning at all costs,.. and the refs can only see just so much. They have a difficult job. Some fouls can't help but get by them.

I hope you are all having a great day!
