Thursday sun

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday sun

Good morning all :D

Sorry I missed yesterday to at least report that Tigg did well with his surgery--was able to pick him up by 2p.m., but of course, spent a good part of the morning worrying about him. Thanks BJ (happy to hear Toby is back to his normal!) & all who were keeping us in their thoughts. Now the hard part is trying to keep him calm/inactive for a few days--so far so good.

Bro left so we have our place back to ourselves. Today I'll do some house cleaning & start getting HarBor ready to leave tomorrow. Can't wait to be on the road again, even if only for 4-5 days. Sarah, will you take Magic out for a weekend when you have to move her for the motorcycle event? Would be a good excuse eh?? :P

Barbie, Martha's advise makes sense. I did some reasearch on handling alz/dementia patients, & they say to go with the flow unless the patient is in danger. If your dad is still in the hospital & has care, they should know how to handle him if he "goes to the door & tries to get out." Hope you don't mind me sharing my thoughts on this??? But maybe it helped with your golf game--almost a hole in one! Working out your frustration??? ....Martha, glad your DH has recovered so quickly!

The sun is shining brightly this morning--so good to see it after several dreary days. Hope y'all have a great day & be safe wherever you are. 8-)

Good Morning Carolb and all,

Haven't been posting the past couple of days. Nothing much to say of late. Just same old. Been reading the posts though.

Carolb, where are you off to now? Sarah, would be nice if you could just hop in Magic and go someplace for a few days. Lori, don't think it's going to matter when you retrun to PA. This spring is just being plain cool and damp. We are having beautiful weather here and normal tlemps, which are in the mid 60's for this time of year. Sure wish i had a rig soe I could come go that GTG next month. Oh well.

Barbie, hope you can keep your sanity. Too bad you didn't have a kayak or something, where you can go out and paddle on the lake to relieve some of your anxiety. I have a friend who's mother has Alzheimer's and she said you never know who is going to show up from one minute to the next. Know that you and your family are in my prayers. My aunt had dementia, so I know what it can do.

Ava, glad to hear that Gracie is back home and in her usual spot. That's what I plan to do with Ms. Tessa when the time comes. So far she is still hanging in there.

Been busy around here, still doing some yard work, running errands and spent yesterday visiting with some friends. Always enjoy going down to visit with them. He is very knowledgeable about traiers, weights, etc. etc. and said that the one model I am lookkng at should be okay as far as the hitch weight is concerned. But dealer hasn't gotten another one in as yet anway. So I am still looking. LIke the looks of a Jayco, but unfortunately been hearing about too many leak issues of late.

Today I plan to do a little yard work, in my backyard now. Have a dentist appt. this afternoon, so will only be out there for the morning. Plan to go gather some more gravel from a couple of spots on the road here for my project. So guess I should get moving before the morning gets away from me. Have a great day all.

GOOD MORNING CAROL, SUE, AND ALL!

Happy to hear good news about Tigg, Carol. Where are you going to be for the summer again? Are you in NY State somewhere?

Sue, I know you are having fun with Tessa for as long as you can share your life with her. Remember that "worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow; it only saps today of its strength." Again, the motto I had on my wall in college. Very hard to make that a reality, however!

Day has dawned beautiful again today---in the 60s with sunshine and low humidity, so far, although the forecast for the weekend is a return to summer-like heat and humidity. Today I hope to finish up laundry, go biking, and go for some swimming at the club pool. Tomorrow I will pack up some more stuff to take to the trailer for the trip home in another two weeks, or so. Yesterday I bought a large, covered, lockable chest-like thing to carry some stuff in the truck bed. I also bought a lock for the cover, and a lock and chain to fasten it to the truck bed grommet things. At least I will have a bit more space to carry stuff dry and safely, hopefully. I may just buy another like it before I am done----45 bucks at Walmart, made of recycled plastics-----heavy and tough. Much cheaper than a tonneau cover to get me through until I get my new camper topper back at my home dealership. I also ran my generator for a half hour, or so, to get it geared up for the trip in case I need it.

Hope all on the roads stay safe and avoid the tornadoes in the TX areas I am hearing about this morning.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

It's acting like it is going to storm here lots of thunder and Andy is wanting to sit in my lap, he really doesn't like the thunder. We could use a little rain but seems like we seldom get that happy medium.
We have so many flowers blooming our yard really looks pretty. I hope all our Texas sisters are safe, sounds like they had terrible storms/tornadoes.
Carolb I know you are so relieved to have Tigg back home, I hope he recovers quickly. Enjoy your weekend!
Soos, I know you will be glad to get out of the FL heat and humidity. Barbie congrats on your almost hole-in-one! Glad to hear you could get out and relax. My thoughts are with you as you struggle with your Dads illness.
Sue, did you look at the RV you mentioned a few days ago it sounded pretty good. Keep looking you'll find one that speaks to you.
Going to try to get to yoga class today, even though we work hard I find I feel better afterwards. It's strange how yoga works, it looks easy especially since about half of the exercises are done in or with a chair, but it really builds strength and flexibility. I am so lucky to have found a teacher who is very well trained, she guides us step by step into the positions so we don't get hurt moving the wrong way.
Have a happy day and those on the road be safe!

Supposed to be a beautiful day here in Ohio at my son's house. Got a call yesterday that my motorhome will be ready tomorrow, so I will get up and be on the road tomorrow morning by 7:30 am so I can get to Decatur in time to inspect repairs and complete paperwork.

Going to be SO nice to be back "home"!!! I need to do a lot of cleaning after the workmen and reorganize stuff back to where it is all supposed to be since I had to pack up and store a lot of stuff. Also, will need to clean refrig and freezer and restock both with groceries.

Heading to a state park in Michigan not too far from the Indiana border so I have time to do all of that and catch up with my work. I've been enjoying my grandkids, but it is hard to get anything done with toddlers always needing something. My son asked me if I minded having to leave and look for a place to stay. I told him that was the whole point and I chose to live this way. There is always something I am interested in seeing. He DID admit that I had managed to drive a whole year without crashing into something major. (OK, I have not told him about the little scrapes and those are just between all of us!)

Good morning everyone.

The sun keeps peeking out from behind the clouds. It can't make up it's mind. We are supposed to get thunderstorms later so the humidity is up where I don't like it to be. It's a good day to get inside chores done as tomorrow promises to be cooler.

Carolb, good news about Tigg. Where to this time? Coming down here? We should be able to get you level enough in the driveway. PM me if you need to get away.

Lori, thanks for adding me to the GTG list. PM me any time we could do lunch here, there, or half way at Thurmont. Are you attending any of the Gettysburg events for the 150th?

Soos, you know you have an open invitation here any time.

Sue, if you mean the PA GTG next month, the campground has cabins or if you don't mind crashing on my fold out sofa you are welcome to share my large 5th wheel. I would love to meet you.

Well, enough of a break from chores.
Y'all have a great day.

It is a beautiful day here in MN! Sunny, breezy, 73 degrees heading up to 80. :D We actually hit 98 degrees here on Tuesday! Low humidity and breezy so wasn't too bad. We sure went right from winter to summer here tho! In just the past two days, the leaves have finally popped out and is getting nice and green around here. Looking good!

Also a good day here because at 2:30 I get to see my daughter, Naomi! :D :D (for those of you who are new, I placed her for adoption 12 years ago and get to see her once a year). I have a couple of belated birthday gifts for her (horsey stuff). Will be the first time I go alone, since my dad won't be able to go with me this year. :(

Speaking of my dad, he is leaving the hospital today after 3 weeks there. He will be going into transitional care at the nursing home right next door to my apartment. That is where my mom was and they do a great job there. He may end up there permanently.

My mom had alzheimers too so I do know that it is best to just go along with what ever they say. I just didn't want to let him think I was coming to get him and be disappointed/mad that I didn't show up. I didn't realize how angry he would get tho, when I told him I couldn't.

Sounds like all puppies are doing better today. Yay! Also hope the Texas gals are safe and sound. Really nasty twister went thru there last night.

Have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning ladies,
Everything is winding down for the
End of the school year. Got my assignment
for summer, however,,,,,,,, I read my
Invite for the reunion and I was mistaken,
it is for June, not July. That changes
the dynamics for how stuff is to play
out. Will talk to my schedular today
and see if I can trade my assignment.
That would be the ideal thing so I can
spend more time in Colorado for the
price of going. I'm still going but don't
know yet if it is a quick one or a longer
one.
Having lunch today with my aide from
last. We have tried to get together
A few times but stuff always seemed to get
in the way. Today is still a go.
Ok, morning is done, ya'll have a great
day and be safe. Hope you have good
weather.

Good morning all. Glad to hear fur babies are doing well. I just added another bird feeder and of course it attracts squirrels as well. It is so much fun to watch the squirrels tease Tyler. When he sees one on the ground he goes into full point and starts to creep toward what he hopes to be prey. Squirrel doesn't even pay attention. When Tyler makes his move, squirrel jumps up into the tree and just watches as Tyler runs around in circles barking. Then Tyler lays down to guard the tree and be ready to attack when squirrel comes back down. Tyler doesn't notice squirrel has jumped to the other tree, came down the trunk and is on the ground behind Tyler eating the birdseed until Tyler realizes where the squirrel is and the whole scenario plays out again. Very entertaining to watch.

I just finished Dan Brown's new book, " Inferno". It was a fun read. Not as good as Da Vici Code, but the same fast paced, page turner. We are headed out to see the new Star trek movie that opened last night. Going to the 3D IMAX showing. Should be fun.

Everyone have a fun and safe day. Aloha y'all

Red, I loved reading about Tyler and the squirrels. Such fun to watch.
