Postby carolb » Fri Apr 26, 2013 7:51 am

Good morning all! :D

Waking at 4:30 this a.m., my second day home, & getting acclimated. Now, where's everybody!? I've waited the appropriate length of time to hear from anyone else, bt it's me again opening MC

Temp is now to 45 degrees, so I'll get owtside & start my yard work. Looks to be a good weekend for lots of time owtside.

Dawn, I see where storms are going threwgh yore area? Hope all is well for the bz camping weekend. Great memories of the peacefolness of pre-season at Lake M! Kathleen, keeping good thots for a GOOD home for Shadow. Soos & others, hope yew find good beach weather for the gtg. BJ, alway good tips for anything! Good ol' vinegar, so yewsfol for so many things....

To all, thanks for the "go-girl" comments abowt my trip! It wooldn't have been even half as memorable withowt so many of yew welcoming me to yore homes/cgs/meals etc,or those of yew "coaching" me via the forem. BTW, Tina & I did a phone gtg, deciding an "in person" gtg will have to wait--look forward to that, since it was so great to meet yew in FL!

Missing many of yew :( Catherine, Red, Anita, Sharon, Martha, & many more--haven't seen posts from yew lately? Maybe somewhere else, not on MC??? I'll need to explore the site to see where y'all are these days!

Y'all have a great day & be safe wherever yew are! 8-)

Good morning Donna and all who follow!

Donna, there are websites and apps that you can check ahead of time for Walmarts that allow overnight parking. Here's one, or you can google for others: http://www.allstays.com/c/walmart-locations-noparking.htm

I'm still at Carol's, enjoying my stay and the company, but getting hitch itch too, so am planning a leisurely route with plans to depart around May 1st.

Rain expected here this weekend, so probably no yard sale. Didn't get the ad in the paper anyway. I'm looking forward to more sunny warming trends in this part of the U.S.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Sunny, warm, and perfect morning down here in Orlando again today. This will be another pool day, dog-walking day, and biking day for me. I am also waiting for an order from Amazon which is new guitar strings and a tuner----hope it comes early so I don't have to stick around all day.

Donna, I am thinking I might just make a registration for a site at Wickham today, as Dell wants to do the same. She wants site #30, and I will sign for one next to that, if it's near the pond, and I think it is. Probably no need to go back on Tuesday until you arrive and hook up! I am planning to haul out of St. Cloud Tuesday morning.

No guy showed up to check out my garage yesterday, so I still need to find someone to do that job for me. Perhaps, when I get back from Wickham, I will bring all my cordless tools from the trailer and tackle it myself.

I hear it is snowing again back at home this morning! No need to think about heading back there yet! Hope you all have a great day doing something fun!

Ahhh!! Finally spring!!! 63 and sunny right now! Beautiful day and even warmer for the weekend. I have Sunday off so hopefully I can get my new bike out on the trail here for a little ride. I bought some indoor/outdoor carpet for my deck and a glass table that attaches to my deck railing so I can look out over the lake while I am eating.

Unfortunately, my dad is back in the hospital. Had to call 911 again yesterday for him. He was really upset, confused and drunk when I got to his house. His memory is severely affected by alcohol and it scares him. He will probably go home tomorrow or Sunday but not after some strong pressure to go into treatment. I doubt he will ever agree to that tho. This time the drinking was triggered by the State threatening to take away his driver's license (which I think is a great idea).

Hope you all are having a good day and good weather.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Oh dear, Barbie----poor you and your poor dad, too. It's so tough to deal with alcoholism, as I well remember with my own father. I hope he will go into rehab for at least a try to get sober and sane and find something to do that will be satisfying for him and allow him to live a better life. In the meantime, take care of yourself, too----it's hard to watch a family member slowly killing himself.
