Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!

It's Saturday and the first day of the weekend. WoooHooo!

Me? I'm going into work to grab a few overtime hours. This weekend is nightshifts weekend so my old supervisor wont be in there and I wont have to worry about her crabbing and hollering. But then again she is on vacation all this coming week. I even had it wrote down in my planner cause it was gonna be a vacation for us without her in there. I've stood outside on breaks and lunches hearing the new people that have been put in her 60 day project biatching about her. It embarrasses me to say it but it I am so glad that it's them and not me!!

Or training is all over with, this coming week we will be doing what they call nesting. It's where we sit with experienced agents and listen in while they do calls. Somewhere during the week we will also have to do calls and they will listen in. They will give us pointers and what not to help us to get going. ~sigh~

Brrrrrr It's mothering cold out on the back porch. Thermometer says -4f out there. I know that it sure the heck didn't take Shade long at all to do her morning business, run back up on the porch and want back in the house. After blowing her coat last month and not having as much fluff to keep her warm she's not enjoying the cold like she usually does. Poor puppy. I am praying that all the outside dogs here in the neighborhood have hay, straw or something to curl up in and keep warm. I hope the people down here have more brains that to just give them a blanket and think it will be enough.

Well it's that time. Need to get dressed and around to go out the door. Brrrrr Have the coffee pot ready, cocoa and hot water for tea, warm muffins and oatmeal. I picked up some cream of wheat cereal too. Oh and Biscotte too.

Hope ya'll have a wonderfully warm day and please stay safe.

Love to all

ps. i think this is the very first time i have come to the forum and there's no new postings. i read them last night and i guess ya'll went into hibernation?

Good Morning Echo and All!!

Temperature coming up here this morning, thank heavens-----after -27F. here yesterday morning, it's now up to a balmy -5!! I can see some sun's rays breaking over the horizon now, so I am hoping for a day warm enough to get out there and pack my ski trails.

Sorry you have to work today, Echo----I am looking forward to this 3-day weekend, thanks to Martin Luther King.

Coffee tastes good, and I am enjoying not having to get out there to scrape off my truck.

I hope you all have a good day, wherever you all may be, and that you do something fun for yourself.

Good morning ladies, ahhh saturday, what a relief it is! Gotta do catch up on laundry
and chores since I had such a busy week, I wore lots of extra outfits. Sister goes back
home tomorrow but they will be here all day hanging out until its time to catch the
plane. Yesterday they went to the Grand Canyon, I opted to go to work instead because
its dang cold and snowy up there right now. I'm sure they got back late and that she
will call me after breakfast. If she doesn't, by golly I'll be calling her. I have to say it
feels good to actually be face to face with my sister cause now I don't feel so much
like an "orphan" I don't know how to explain that feeling any differently.
Will try to get some uploading done to Photobucket today so I will have more pictures
to show you. I took 112- 113 pictures at the botanical gardens and gotta decide which
ones are best to show you.
Well, coffee smells good, one last banana to eat and make a little toast and I'm ready
to rock n roll on saturday chores. Ya'll have a great day, stay warm and be safe.

Good morning. Coffee smells good to me and sounds good too. Got a big cup to wake me up. Tobey is letting me know he'd like to get out the crate but I'm not ready to go for the morning walk! They were able to close in the incision on my sister's foot last night where they removed her toes earlier. That means the infection is evidently draining out. Don't know if she will have a wound pump this time like she did 2 years ago or not. At least she kept her foot. That is good news!! Have a good day ya'll!!

Its about 8:30 here in Huatabampito Mexico. The morning mist is burning off and it looks like it is going to be another beautiful day. It gets up into the high 80s but there is a constant breeze off the water so we don't even have to run the air conditioner. Yesterday Bill got his kites out and was flying them. And we saw a school of dolphins swimming/playing by. Just discovered this park has a book exchange too - will check it out today. No TV - fixer never showed up so we are listening to lots of music. Old stuff - remember Jim Croche? Today we are going to drive into Alamos - the music festival doesn't start until next week so we will not encounter any crowds. Bill just came in and says to say "Hello" from him. Well he has his hat on so guess that means he is ready to go. Later

Good morning! It's a balmy 23 degrees here in beautiful downtown Utah. I need to jump in the shower and head out here shortly.

A week ago, I acquired a housemate ... someone I've known for some time. Her longtime boyfriend died and she ended up in a shelter. I couldn't imagine going through that kind of grief AND be homeless trying to make my way. So this is her one-week anniversary here.

I have to tell you, it's really nice to have another human being in my home. It forced me to clean up the family room, bedroom and bathroom downstairs -- it had become a catch-all for all the things I didn't want to deal with. She is a good housekeeper and I told her I would work hard to keep up my end. Well, it's been great for me. I'm accountable to someone and I find myself keeping up with things.

December was a black hole of depression for me, and I've come out the other side. Some of you may remember I stopped my antidepressants a few months ago ... so when the slide came there was nothing there to stop it. But it seems to have run its course ... for now.

I plan to have a great day and hope the rest of you do the same!

Morning! I'll take a cup of that coffee...Thanks. Soos there is light at the end of the tunnel...I promise. It was -26 here on Thursday morning...yesterday it made it up to 38 and this morning it's 34 and suppose to top out at 40...but we're suppose to have horrendous wind. I am looking forward to the three day weekend too, but personally I wish that MLK, Washington and Lincoln would have been a little more considerate...they could have been born in the summer months when I would really appreciate three day weekends to go camping! My favorite "holidays" are MLK, Presidents Day, Columbus Day and Veterans Day...they're no stress holidays and I don't have to worry about cooking and cleaning for family gtg's! ;) Not much on the agenda today...going to ride to a neighboring town with a friend to pick up some stuff for her husband and go out to lunch.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Morning all.

Is nice here in TX - but my friend in Alabama says they are still in the depths for cold for them - 22 degrees there at 10:30 am. Said they should hit 32 by 11, but he thinks the weather forecasters are lying. They aren't used to staying below freezing like this! So, funny that MN is now warmer than Alabama. Oh, and yesterday (or day before - forget which) Alabamans were saying "at least we aren't in Alaska" until they heard that it was 20-40 degrees warmer in Alaska LOL

Janice, I'm glad you have the company. I know that it helps me to live in rv parks with activities and where I can make friends - or I might just hibernate and not come out. And it's been absolutely great having Sparkle here - we sometimes wonder if we're both just being nice to each other, cuz we go and do things and seem to always want to do pretty much the same. That said, I had a funky day yesterday. Was supposed to go to a wedding, then last night to karaoke with the wedding couple and lots of others - and I didn't go to any. Just couldn't drag myself to do it.

That said, I have to get my act in gear, cuz I'm making soup for lunch - and Sparkle is joining me. Hope we like it!

It is no longer morning here, but good afternoon! It's a little chilly here too. We did know enough to unhook the water last night, but apparently some of our fellow campers didn't think about it. There has been a flurry of activity this morning with busted hoses & ice fountains coming out of the water hookups. We stayed nice & warm tho. I had to turn all the heat off earlier, with all the sun coming in the RV it was almost 80F in here.

I've been perusing the workamp section. You all gave some wonderful suggestions there. And Retiredhappy also emailed me some tips & ideas. Very seriously considering full-timing & workamping. I did join the Good Sam club, & have been looking over Workamping.com. I'm sure I'll be bugging everyone with questions as soon as I know which ones to ask!
