Oh Yeah! It's Tuesday!!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Oh Yeah! It's Tuesday!!

Gooood Morning Sistahs.

It's Tuesday and we all have survived another Monday! Whew!! Stayed after work yesterday to get that other test done. Gads, had to take it twice and finally got an 87% on the blasted thing. Found out that that we will also have a final test to do on the computer system too. I about swallowed my tongue on that little bit of info. Gonna have to make sure that Kelly is sitting next to me. ;)

Cold as cold on the back porch this morning, thermometer says it's 12f out there! Brrrrrr I know that it's not cold for northern standards but it frosted me when I took Shade out to do her cruise of the yard. She didn't waste much time out there either. Must have been frosty for her little feets not to mention other parts. LOL

I'm all showered, dressed and ready to walk out the door. Kelly just got up so she's in there taking her shower. I make sure that I'm done and out of the way when she gets up!!! She's a grumbly bear in the mornings. Slouches and growls on the way to the bathroom. Scary!

Some really good postings to go thru this morning.
Loved that elephant!!! He looks almost like he could come right off and out.
Carol showed us about oysters. But I like to eat them too.
Carolyn is trying to decide what to keep in the RV, what to add to the RV and what to get rid of. So is Margie and poor Becky is simply trying to figure out how to down size.
Chris found some neat critters out in the desert. Heaven only knows what she will find next!
Campfire is still going strong and just waiting for someone to add a couple pieces of wood and join in.
Almost forgot Karen's work camping job! :? That's great news Karen, so glad ya got a job in the southwest.
And of course we can't forget that it's our 6 month Anniversary!!!! Awesome! What fantastic group of women to celebrate with!!! And it will only get better too.

Well coffee is done and waiting to be poured into your cups. Got some goodies out too, the rest of the oatmeal cookies, got banana nut muffins, picked up a coffee cake and of course some Biscottee. Can't forget that. Come grab a chair and sit for a spell.

Hope everyone has a great day and remembers to stay safe.

Love to all

Good morning Echo and gang,....

mmmmm... Cream of Wheat tastes yummy this a.m. gotta hit the road in about 45 min. I'll be scarce around the keyboard this week, as we've got both girls and boys basketball games happening. tonight is the girls, tomorrow night are the boys games. The girls have an "away" game thurs. night and the boys have another home game friday nite. Whooooeeee,.... at three games each night I guess I'll have my fill of basketball for this week. I won't go to the thurs. night game, but I'll catch the others so that means 12 high school/jr. high games in all. My kind of week. It gets me through the winter! :D

Have a great day all.....

How often does Janice get to post this close to the top in the morning thread? Can you say called I-N-S-O-M-N-I-A? Not really. I have company (my host from the Obama Campaign in Montrose, CO came into town!) and she's sleeping in my bed. And the couch got a little, uh, uncomfortable.

I've fired up the coffee and made banana bread last night ... mmmmmm.

My guest and I went to dinner last night with another volunteer she hosted last fall. This other woman is a very connected local politico, and I asked her (and she agreed) to mentor me in learning how to do grant writing and development. It's one of the "holes" in my resume, and I've always wanted to learn how to do that. So I may be volunteering at her organization, learning the fundraising ropes.

Anyway, life is good and everyone has tickets to the inauguration but little ole MEEEEEEE. Sniff.

Anyway, have a good day, ladies!

Good morning, Tried to stay in bed as long as I could and hit the snooze several times
but my brain finally said, GET UP! No coffee for me this morning, in fact nothing by
mouth as I have to go do this ultrasound at 7:45. Gotta wait for the wake up. Will
spend my time waking up on the forum and do some catching up of my reading.
Echo, your getting good at a recap, but not as good as our Barbzee, she has a special
flair that goes with it. :)
Have a great day in whatever you do, stay warm and be safe.

Good morning! It's raining and chilly (I won't say cold) here in central FL this morning. They're predicting lows in the 20's later this week....it always happens at least once in the winter. The only consolation is that it doesn't last long, and it doesn't snow.

I had planned to go look at a PleasureWay van today, but will now postpone it until Friday because of the rain. Have to drive 1 1/2 hours to see it. I still plan to go to the big RV Supershow in Tampa on Thurs. I'll take some pictures if there's anything interesting. There's a 2003 23' Coach House I'll look at that day too. Just looking though.

I'm waaay behind reading posts...maybe I'll have time this rainy day to catch up. Hope everyone has a good day.

Janice, I spent 20 years grant writing in my first career,... basic tip is to read the RFP and make sure that you respond to each request for info. state how the grant will benefit,... show real examples. also how the benefit will project into future with decreased expenses for whatever,.. health care, social services, etc. It is helpful to have a contact person to jingle on the phone so you aren't just sending the proposal into dead air. Grant writing is FUN.

Nancy, I think you are the first person I've ever heard say that grant writing is fun LOL - but yep, it's gotta be fun for someone :)

Morning all - and I, too, which you had inauguration tickets, Janice - would have loved the post you would have done after that!

Wind is picking up here today - so ever tho the temp has risen since I got up around 5:30, it felt colder when Peaches and I took a walk just before 8. Brrrrrrrrr - but not nearly what the notherrn girls are feeling. So, I should shush!

Have a great day, everyone.

It's a cold wet morning here too! I have so much sand in my blood tho, I'll take a cold rainy day at the beach over a cold sunny day at home. Wanted to do some sight seeing today, but may just go to the store to get soup & chili fixin's. Looks like a "crock pot full of something warm" kinda day! I'm in the mood for cornbread too.

I would love to go to that RV show in Tampa! Give us a report on what you find Liz. :D

Good luck on your ultrasound Ava.

I'm not really sure what grant writing is, but I can betcha I wouldn't like it! ;) If I had tickets, I'd give them to ya! Too much for a country girl for that kind of crowd. But I'm sure it'll be very exciting for those who go.

Have a good day! Hope you all stay warm & dry! :D

Buenos Dias Ladies - we are still in San Carlos and will probably stay here today and tomorrow then on to another campground on the beach further south. Thats whats so nice about not having to be any where at any time. Probably will not camp in Alamos but will drive up there for a day. Today we have to look for a jeweler as my necklace clasp broke when I went to put it on this a.m. I have been wearing it for years. Bill made it for me link by link when he was still working at the jewelry bench.
Today we are going to try to find an oasis that is supposed to be spectacular - its somewhere out in the desert - all the stuff on San Carlos mentions it but no one seems to know where it is. Hummm

Tuesday!! HMMM. I am having a hard time keeping up with what day it is here. Doesn't really matter----just have to keep track of the days something is happening we want to go to!! I love it. I needed a break!!! You can have the cold Echo. The nights here are cold enough for me and they aren't that bad----except we ran out of propane and they don't deliver till tomorrow!! We have an elec. heater going so we are warm and I cooked breakfast in the elec. skillet!!
