Before Wendy and Sarah started heading north and Paul and I start heading back west, we all decided to take the Glass Bottom Boat tour in Silver Springs

Thanks Colleen. Had more interesting things to blog about than the saga of buying a car and then getting it ready to tow.  Those were more like vents. ;)

Alligators at last! I would be hard to head back home and not say you saw any. :) I loved the wonderful colors of the springs. Liz always makes sure her "kayaking tours" includes paddling over some of the springs..... :)

Really enjoyed our trip to Silver Springs. Thank you, Dawn.
So glad you and Wendy finally got to see gators, especially those in the wild.
The albino gators were a first for me. Those big pink eyes are a bit scary looking.

wow, what a huge gator that guy was
and I'd say choosing the Glass Bottom Boat tour was a great idea. :D Loved it, would like to do that too.

Loved your blog, Dawn.
The flamingos are so elegant - I had never really seen any that close - beautiful! :D AND.. I'm really glad you finally got to see some alligators! :D
Very grateful for everyone who lets those of us who aren't venturing out just yet to join in the fun & experience some warmer weather. :)
Looking forward to traveling further west with you & Paul. :D

Oh I know, Liz. I really wanted to have my new kayak out there yesterday. It would have been the perfect river for it. The water was so clear and moving slow. Just right for a beginner like me. Also, this is not the season for alligators to be eating.
