So my computer (Mac) has JAVA and JAVA Script. I disabled both, but could no longer "like" a post on FB. Got a message to enable JAVA script. So I enabled tat, but not the other and could use FB again. What's the difference?

Java is an operating program (and what you need to be worried about.

Javascript is a scripting language.

I have Java disabled, but enable it when there's something I want to do that requires it ... like a chat room, etc ... easy to enable and disable.

I saw that on the Kim Komando letter. She also said to check and remove any older versions. Sure enough, I had 2 versions on my laptop.
