New To Me FIT

Finally, as promised by the Sales Manager, my FIT was ready at 11:00 today. Everything was as he promised. There was even a new set of tires on the car which was never discussed. Saved me having to go buy a new set so I was not unhappy about that. Brother, Paul, said by the time they had paid for a rental car for a week and put the new set of tires on the car, they could not have made much on the sale to me. Who says it doesn't pay to gripe.

As soon as we picked up the car, Paul and I headed to Steve and Irmi's campsite. Carolb was going to be there too and I wanted to see her before she hits the road early next week.

I got it! Irmi was just getting ready to call to see if the sales people had disappeared on me again when we pulled into their campground.

They missed the whole front end of yore new car Oh, that was me Sorry Dawn BTW I meant to tell yew yew looked good with make-p, bt yo're jst as pretty withowt it! (Thanks for the comment on my songlasses, Mitch! I was wearing them cz I didn't have any make-p on & my eyes look so "beady" withowt mascara!!! )

Several of us that have been retired for awhile had a discussion regarding make up. Many of us don't even carry any in the rig and for some, what we do have sitting in some drawer somewhere, is probably so out of date and old, I am not sure what those chemicals would do.... SO...if we need to look good, better give us a warning way ahead... 'cuz it would require another shopping trip. I can see us all sitting at the cosmetic counter in Macy's getting our faces made up. The store would never be the same.....

Tina, don't you just love the Macy's cosmetic department. I need to go by there today. Am out of my daytime serum. If I wear makeup, I take care of my skin better. After Chuck passed, I just did not care and have not taken care of my face at all. Have recently started back using all my "lotions and potions" as Chuck used to call it. Am starting to see a difference in my wrinkles again. Vanity is starting to kick back in. I am a Texas Gal at heart. Big hair and makeup. I also need to get a darker foundation. I don't like to order foundation online because I need to test it to see if color is right. I am already getting tanned. Love this Florida sun.

I buy makeup once a year....and throw out once a year...then maybe use it once a year...

Lori, put full face on again this morning. Makes me feel more like myself. Having lived in Texas for most of my life, I feel very uneasy without my hair fixed and my face on. Once I have that done, I can tackle anything. Otherwise, I don't really feel ready to face the world. For me, this means I am starting to care about myself again. It's that Texas thing. Big hair and all.

Dawn, I was marveling at how good you looked in that pic of the 3 of you. In fact, all 3 look wonderful. I think it's great that you're feeling OK with taking care of yourself. You must know that Chuck is happy to see you happy. You go girl!
