Good Morning, It's Sunday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning, It's Sunday!

Postby linann » Sun Jan 20, 2013 7:28 am

Up early this Sunday morning. Sarah, thankful you made it out of the park and through the mountain passes. Wendy and Sarah, take is slow and stay safe as you continue to Florida. Went to the FL RV Super Show yesterday. It seemed there were more people than last year. We saw lots of nice RV's, and a few I would love to own. Oh, well . . .

Going to the early church service this morning. Right after church will drive to Orlando for the exhibition of contemporary glass sculpture. Some Chihuly work is exhibited along with other leading glass artists. Plus, there is a free lecture the visiting curator of this exhibition. I am looking forward to the afternoon. Will have dinner afterwards and head home to start packing up the rig for the GTG. The excitement is building!

Good morning, Linda, and all that follow.... :D I was here earlier, but just read posts....the mind wasn't "perky" enough to type much then....

The AZ GTG is going strong.... ;) Photos posted are great and everyone is enjoying the gathering....Food, wine, and lots of chatting there...that's what it's all about....Good to see Jenny & Dan, again there....and all the guys enjoy hanging out with the gals.... ;) :D Can't wait to hear and see today's activities....

We had company yesterday of friends here.....had to laugh....all kinds of campfires going....so we did some "campfire hopping" to visit.....

Today we plan to settle in for the football games today...so it will be a day of relaxing... ;)

Okay, need more coffee....oh, before I go, Spinner is back to his old self.... :D He sends his "woof, woof" to all his friends here...

Have a great day, all...

Been up a couple of hours now and read some posts but fighting a morning case of what my granny used to call the back door trots. Went to a geocacher's gathering last night and while I avoided the pizza I did eat some desert. Been avoiding sugar since new year's and I guess my body is rejecting that slip. Feeling better now and if I see I can stay away from the bathroom for the next 30 minutes then I will feel safe in going to the park. Today the geocachers are giving back to the park by participating in an event to help park personnel remove invasive plants. Got my work gloves ready. Will get out of here soon.

Sarah, glad you got out and on the road.

Good morning all,
Had to go check out the other posts before dropping in for coffee.
Such excitement - the pics at Quartzsite & hearing that Sarah & Wendy were safe & able to meet up. :D
I'm going to the RV show today! :D Nearly missed it thinking it was next weekend - so glad I checked it out online last night & found out today is the last day. 8-) Need to see what's new & how I can 'homey' up my van.
We're back in the deep freeze today: 60 yesterday, high of 30 or so today, single digits tonight. Oh well, it is January & this too will pass.
Hope you all enjoy the GTGs & are safe as you continue traveling...
Later...

Sunday 9 a.m.

Postby carolb » Sun Jan 20, 2013 9:10 am

Good morning all! :D For the second time--was jst finishing a post, & hit wrong key to make it disappear, cripes!

Anyway, I've played catch-p this morning, since I totally "forgot" to check the forem yesterday--was at Irmi's in the afternoon when I had that realization. Staying awake later & sleeping later in the a.m. does not seem to sit well with me. The past 2 mornings, I wake groggy, as if I'd taken benadryl which I haven't taken for days. Bt really a chore to get my mind working!

Sownds like all is well with the travelers, & I pray that all have safe trips to their destinations! AZ GTG! Oh, that's right, Lori! Do yew have enoff bail money for 2 gtgs within a few weeks of each other

Really love having Irmi as a "neighbor"! Getting together with her later today to go into Ocala for another little shopping trip--did that on the sper of the moment on Thrs. Afterwards, I realize I'm in need of other things  Bt no problem--so fon to spend any kind of time with Irmi, like a long-time friend!!! :P

Rambling...going for my second cp of coffee & maybe my mind will "come to" :?

Y'all have a great day--at gtg's or heading to one--or jst wishing yew were doing one or the other!! :D

Good Morning... cold here again... guess that is January again...
Thanks Paulette and Martha for the suggestions... This powder that I am mixing with water and drinking has no sugar... it is really quite good... I like the idea of several small meals... I forget to eat so much of the time... Dr said set a timer... is there anything that will make green tea taste better? Dr said 2 cups a day... yuck

Yea Yea for Wendy and Sarah they are troupers to get going in bad weather... take it easy and only have that glass of wine after the day is done!! :D

Need to get ready for church as there is no ice to hold me back today...
Take care everyone and have a great day...

Aw, Carol. I know what you mean... I'm an early morning person too & sleeping late just messes me up. But visiting into the evening with friends or family is worth every minute... You'll be able to catch up at some point - I always do. :D :D
Sounds like yew're having lots of fun meeting everyone & just hanging out. Thanks for posting & letting the rest of us join in the fun.
enjoy!!!!

Good morning everyone.

I am sitting here enjoying the sunshine again this morning. Kathleen, glad you have no ice this morning for your trip to church. I am so glad to be in sunny Florida. No offense, I would not change places with you right now. Maybe in the summer time, though. I bet I change my mind then.

Glad Sarah and Wendy made it out safe and sound yesterday. Looks like Wendy and Sarah will be here tomorrow. I am thinking about what I am going to fix us all for dinner tomorrow. I am so excited about getting to meet them. This RV park is really nice. I spent at least an hour yesterday visiting with the lady parked on the other side of Paul. She is also a widow traveling alone. Her name is Chris and her story is a lot like mine. I would imagine there are quite a few ladies out there on the road with a similar story. She is going to be here until the 29th and then heading to another part of FL for a month or so before heading to Georgia. I had my windows open most of the day yesterday. It was wonderful. It was in the 60's and felt really good to me. Other people here thought it was on the chilly side. Not me after a month of rain and cold weather in MS.

Today is going to be a laundry day. Need to take my sheets to the laundry here. It's just a short walk from the rig. Going to take my camera to get some pictures for my blog. Haven't felt much like updating it while in MS. Way too many rainy days and could not get out much. Will definitely get some pictures of Sarah and Wendy when they get here.

Well, going to fix another cup of coffee, relax for a few watching the Sunday morning news shows then get in the shower and get busy with my day. The birds are definitely waking up now and chattering at each other. Love the sounds. This is their bath time and I enjoy watching them fly in and out of the bird bath. They squabble with each other taking turns. It's funny to watch.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good morning all. Another sunny day in Q. We are up early and out the door to make it over to the flea market while there is still parking. Really enjoyed our gtg yesterday and looking forward to hanging out some more today. I have a arias view of Q, but I have to figure out how to post it using my iPad. Everyone have a great day and stay warm and if on the road, be safe. Aloha y'all

Kathleen, could you take some green tea capsules instead of drinking the tea?
(I can't stand the stuff, either...)

I understand too Carolb. I have always been an early riser, but find myself in a different sleep pattern lately. Sleeping until about 7 each morning instead of around 5. It is hard learning a new sleep pattern, but so far I am enjoying it.

It's wonderful that you are getting to meet and spend time with so many people on the way to the GTG. I am expecting Sarah and Wendy here at this CG tomorrow. I cannot wait. It will be so much fun, I am sure.

Have a wonderful day with Irmi again. Not long now and I will get to meet you too.

Good morning ladies, I SO understand the feeling groggy thing of waking up late, my body clock will sometimes wake up too early and
I get up but usually go back to bed for a nap later and I feel ok with that. But getting up TOO late just sets my day off wrong and then
I feel tired.
Now Dawn, when you have your little mini gtg, don't forget the pictures :D :D
Had so much fun yesterday and honestly was a learning experience. Next time I will go better prepared with what might be needed or shared. The
two hour drive was so worth it and now I know my body does ok on two hours at a time. I'll put that in my memory banks for when I hit the road.
Back in my younger years    I could drive 16 hours straight but now my common sense tells me how dangerous that was. Oh well,
live and learn. And although I drive for a living, its not the same, I spend maybe 45 minutes TOPS driving the bus, then out of it for 20 to 30 minutes.
Today will be catch up day for me. Have laundry started already and will mop my floor later on.
Coffee and a donut for breakfast. Would grab a banana but they are too green still.
Ya'll have a great day, be safe and be warm.

Kathleen, I drink a LOT of iced tea (brewed), so after reading your comment, I was going to do a Brewing Experiment on your behalf. I grabbed my box of green tea and noticed it's MIXED BERRY GREEN TEA! Seeing that, I went to the Lipton site and found this. I can't wait to order some of these teas. You might find one you like, too.

Good Morning,

Looking like another beautiful day in Quartzsite! Appears there is no wind at the moment.

I was awake before 7, read the forum on my phone, and meant to get up!! Woke again at 9:30 - that is becoming a habit and then I don't feel groggy!

Kathleen, I have green tea bags that are peppermint flavored or chai flavored (which I add a little milk to). I don't mind the plain. I don't know if adding a little sweetner would help you or not.

So glad to hear Sarah and Wendy are nearing their destination!!

I envy those of you who have it together to cook for others. My staples are oatmeal, yogurt, salad, fruit and protein bars. I have to get my act together!!

Time to get ready for another busy day of visiting - such hard work!!
