WARM THURSDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

WARM THURSDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Thu Oct 18, 2012 10:36 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's already up to 62 degrees here this morning, and the sun is shining! Some squirrels are cutting off pine cones and letting them drop with a resounding CLUNK on the metal roof of the garage near this trailer, and Dinah is going bonkers trying to climb the trees to catch the furry little harvesters!

Mandy just left for school, and I am assuming Joe and Oey are still in bed as I don't see any movement up there yet. Nothing new from Joe's father yesterday, so I am hoping no news is good news in this case. Joe was able to clean off the back porch, go to the dump, split and stack a bunch of wood yesterday while I watched Orion and did some laundry that had backed up for them all. It was a productive day! And Orion and I walked around the ponds with him in the stroller, picking milkweed and letting the seeds fly! What fun we had!

Hope you all are having a fun day wherever you may be, and that you can find some time to sit and sip and share a few words with us all. Coffee is nice and hot!

Put a note in your minds to watch for the meteor shower on the night of the 20th into the 21st, if your skies are bright enough----that would be Saturday night. Here's a link for info on the Orionids Meteor Shower! :)

Happy Thursday all!

good morning ladies, seems like a busy day for everyone, cause no one has time for breakfast, slam down the coffee, grab a muffin and run with it. :D
Talk to daughter just a bit ago, she didn't get any sleep last night, feeding Jack every two hours and when he mumbled she was right there awake
checking on him. Daddy was asleep, but that will change soon as the colostrum is replaced by milk and she can store bottles for "others" to share in
the feeding. Will go visit this afternoon for a short while cause she is bombarded with visitors as all her friends are stopping by. Poor thing is not
getting any rest. Catching up on some housework here at home. Thats all I'm doing for now.
ya'll have a great day and be safe

Doing happy dance for Donna and Ava both today.

Finally finished with getting Mom's Jeep ready to tow and towed it for first time this afternoon from CW back to CG. Just when I am getting a little more comfortable with the length of my rig, adding even more length to think about. When Mom's chair is on back of Jeep that adds about 3 more feet. So many firsts and things to think about. I will be glad when I quit being nervous driving my MH.

Now that all the CW things are completed, can start heading south come Tuesday. Yaaay!

Yay, Donna. How exciting!

Good for you, Dawn! You can do it.

Happy time for you, Ava.

Two new hearing aids coming in my future....yikes, money is just flying out of my bank accounts this month. Somebody tie me down.

Didn't you get new hearing aids last winter? I'd like to look into new ones, too, but don't know if I can squeeze them out of my budget.

Looked into it last year Beth, but didn't buy them. Had problems with especially the right one breaking down this year...still isn't fixed, so need to replace it. It is still under warranty from the last repair, so when fixed, will carry it as a backup spare. I was just going to replace the right one, but was persuaded by my audiologist to get both because of new technology.

I understand they even have some now that help with tinnitis. DH finally decided he would wear his after about 5 years. Had an audiology appointment to have hearing tested and then readjusting the aides. Right one quit working right before the appointment so they did the hearing test, sent the aide off for repair, and then he goes back in early Nov to have them fitted again. Takes a while to get the appointments.
