Monday, Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, Monday

Postby Redwahine » Mon Oct 08, 2012 7:30 am

That song, Monday, Monday...can't get it out of my head. We are in Biloxi and there are over a thousand classic cars in town. Ladies in Poodle skirts, music from the sixties blaring on the radios. Beautiful sunny day with cool ocean breezes at the beach. What an awesome day we had cruising the coast yesterday. Great first day of travel with our new toy.

Now, we have to figure out how to dump our tanks and head towards home. Probably stop somewhere along the way for the night. Maybe Coushetta. Waiting for it to warm up a bit. Still chilly outside, about 48! So I'm gonna look to see whet we have to eat and turn on our pretty little fireplace.

Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha, y'all

Good morning, Red and all that follow.....Spinner had a rough night....Always on guard, our 4 legged boy, heard every dog barking inside RVs park in the park last night and decided he needed to chime in.....so when the "Pupper" is up, I'm up.... 1am and 4:30am....so the last time I just stayed up....chilly here this morning, too...anyways, now I'm trying to decide, do I go back to bed cause Ernie's up now....or get the wash around and head for the laundry room.... Okay, guess I'll go try the "morning nap" thing.....

Have a great day, all...

Morning Red and Lori..and all that stumble in LOL...

My morning was busy as at 7am I was in my Dentist office..yeppers..he lives in our neighborhood and is great about doing working people wee early.. He also has been my dentist almost 40 years..OMG..just thinking all my Docs but for a few have been with me for ages..Thank You God !!..

I called John (Dentist) last evening and left a message and he called me at 6am..told me come on in..and In I did..lost my filling, well a piece of it..and he and I (well he did) have coffee hahaha... but I'm done now...so I came home and now have to wait a bit before I chomp on anything...so being food is on my mind and a few of our Sistah's on F B asked me to post a few recipes...so check them out.. they are really good too...

Red, now you are offically a RVer.. I mean once you dump you joined the "group" hahaha.. yeah that's the Christening..hahahaha... your rig looks neat and I wish you and hubby much happiness along with the (under the tongue discussion ) as we've all incurred such treasured moments...

Lori, thought I'd catch up with ya..but we will one of these times...and as far as chilly..well.. it's nippy here on the East coast..in fact I need a "Hot" cup of coffee...

So that's it other than I want to thank all of you for those kinds words of support and Ms Reba is getting back to "Brat" stages so she's doing ok...eating wise..well I have spoon and I am "Good".. she burps afterwards so she's full and even licks the bowl...but eat out of it..Give me a Break...guess she figures after I've fed her and tummy is full the least she can do is clean it...!!!

Hope you all have a great day and keep truckin down that highway...Safely..

God Bless

Goof morning all. The sun is out but it was around 37 when I went out for our first walk bbrrrrrr! Red sounds like the RV life is going well so glad! Barb glad to hear Reba is eating that's a good sign. What a nice GS you have Kathleen to get your car road ready, bet you feel better just knowing you have wheels. Lori, maybe Spinner was hearing my little Toby all the way out there, he does have a loud mouth!

We had a peaceful night here once the little one was convinced that he was NOT sleeping in bed with me that his bed was truly on the floor next to his arch rival Winnie. I'm surprised at him fighting a girl but they have tangled a few times. I think Andy thought he needed to be nice the first few days in case (in hopes) he was just visiting :D but last night he decided it was time he get the respect he deserves as senior male. Took a bit of posturing and growling but I think they have sorted things out. Not sure how to handle the situation with him and Winnie but he has started listening to the wrath of the real alpha bitch around here as I've had to separate them a couple of times.

Enjoy the day!

About 45 here in Arkansas and have both the space heater and coach heater going to warm it up so I can take my shower. It's supposed to get up into the low 60's today and then to 70 tomorrow. Hope it keeps going up! I'm usually heading home about now and hoping I made the right decision to stay longer this year to make the Tx GTG. We'll see. I'll keep an eye on the weather and go from there.

Must be the week for seizures. Son stopped in last nite when he got home from work about 8 and we're just sitting there chatting with the Samcat sitting beside me when he had a seizure. Not the son, Sammy. It was a pretty heavy one and scared the both of us. It took him about 30 minutes after it was over to even be able to walk straight and maybe about an hour before he jumped up to the co-pilot seat and went to sleep. He was pretty disorientated for quite a while. I took him to bed with me but when I got up he was in the living room and seems ok. He's eating and drinking so unless he has another one probably won't take him to the vet. Les has a really good vet in town so at least I do have someone I trust just in case.

Off to town this morning to get fixings for chili for dinner. DIL said there was a pot of beans in the fridge and she didn't know what else to make to go with them, so I volunteered. I try to make several dinners during the week to help out since they won't take any money for my electric or for putting in all of the HU's for me. Probably a pan of cornbread to go with it. She made a really good soup last nite from w/e leftovers and I made some garlic biscuits to go with it. Sure was good. They feed me to well here! LOL!

Better get busy, hope everyone stays warm and dry.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Kinda chilly here too and it's raining again. Not a heavy rain but it's off and on plus it gets pretty steady off and on too! Finally got up this morn and dressed to take Shade out to P but Kelly offered to do it and you had best believe that I jumped at the offer. I just really didn't want to go out in the rain. But now?? I think Kelly had an ulterior motive....She went back to bed in my bed and took Shade with her!!! Shade is a traitor dog and doesn't care who she cuddles up with!!!

There's really not much going on in my world as I'm pretty much stuck here at home. Other than a little running around that I have to do today before Kelly has to have the truck to go to work it's pretty boring.

Hope ya'll have a great day. For those that are feeling the chill of the season? Keep them home heaters going and them warm jammies and blankets handy. And for those who are having a good time? I'm envious. ~sigh~ Whatever the day brings your way, may it be enjoyable and safe!

Love to all

Good Morning from southeast Nevada where we will visit the Valley of Fire today.

So nice to have windows open all night and no furnace running!

Getting closer to Arizona - life should be my own about November 1!

Sorry to hear of all the pet problems.

Good afternoon!!!

Was up early this morning 5:45 for my quiet time and then off to breakfast with Ron's Aunt & Uncle who were here for one night as they make their way from Arkedelphia, AR back to Canon City, CO and then onto Arizona for the winter. We went to Billy Gail's ~ had a vegetarian omelet w/hash browns and sour dough toast ~ brought enough home for breakfast tomorrow :) They left about 9:30 and then it was off to work for me. Monday morning reports and payroll were due today.

Made dinner plans for tomorrow night with another couple and their son who are heading out on Thursday morning. Who knows what we will do after that - we are having a Soup, Bread & Dessert Potluck the end of the month so little things are keeping us busy here at the campground.

Thanks for posting some more great recipes Barb Zeee...can't wait to try some of them ~ that Boston Cream Poke Cake one sounds so gooooooooddddd.

It was a cool 43' this morning and has warmed up to 56'.

Have a great rest of the day and hope to check in earlier tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the info, Lori, I'll keep that in mind. Hopefully it won't happen again, or at least not for a long time. He was Jacks cat and the thought of anything happening to him scares me silly, even if there are times I want to strangle him!! He's a PITA!

What a busy day everyone had. Joe's father had 5 stents placed in his heart curculatory system today, Mandy was sick as a dog with a sinus infection and cough, resting on the sofa and alternately correcting students' papers, and Orion and I spent the day outside in the cool sunshine, mostly. Je just gpt back from the hospital, and I left them alone to decide what their plans are from here. Mandy already got someone to cover her classes tomorrow, so they don't have to hurry home tonight.

While Orion slept, I got the rest of the trailer stuff packed, sorted, stowed, etc., so I am nearly ready to leave here any time now if they need me to go to their house and baby sit while Joe stays with his dad and Mandy teaches.

Sharon so sorry to hear about Sammy's seizure----I know how scary it is to watch. I wonder what caused that all of a sudden? How old is he? I am glad he seems fine today.

Hope all had a fine Columbus Day, even though it is NOT REALLY Columbus Day.

Have to go in to see what the kids' plans are now.

Those stents certainly save many lives as well extend them...What's going on with these seizures? Didn't someone's dog just have one too? It would scare the wits out of me if Rudy had one..I've never had an animal that had them. I think it was on FB that the warning about Beneful was posted. Many symptoms were listed and Rudy had a couple of them...deep hives on his back and throwing up. I should have known it was made in China...I had stopped all the China made treats long ago. He is back on Iams now. Does anyone know if it is okay? I might have to go back to Science Diet. I am determined to be more vigilant about anything made in china. I have always wondered if this would come back to bite us someday..wouldn't surprise me to learn the food and treats cause seizures. I am sitting here with the RV window open...nice cool fresh air feels wonderful. I have never ever appreciated fall as much as this one. I have my 3rd microwave being sent to me. First one didn't work, now second one just quit...I've never heard of the brand and I think I know why..

Now I need to go read about Beneful. Oscar won't eat anything else. Jazz I think would eat just about anything. But Oscar will starve himself first.
