Home again, Home again.....

Postby Mtntophoundz » Sun Jul 20, 2008 5:00 pm

We got home a little before noon today. Our trip was very relaxing and the weather was great! Yesterday we took two hikes (I wasn't much on hiking before) and had a ball! I thought I would be so sore today, but thankfully I wasn't until...... The camper steps got me. I was bringing breakfast outside to the picnic table and my foot slipped just a little. It just barely slipped off the bottom step and twisted. Basically I think I have sprained it, if thats possible. I just know it hurts to use it. Its not swollen or blue so I think I am fine. The kids did a lot of bike riding and swimming again so they are tired. Before we even were out of the campsite Brent was asking about the next trip. That boy is hooked. Oh and our camera is still broken so unfortunately no pics again. Hopefully soon though. Ok off to ice my foot. Have a wonderful evening!!!!

So glad you had fun Mollie, and hope the ankle isn't too serious...ouch! Hiking is fun if you don't overdo it. Gradually you'll be able to extend your distance and terrain till you get up to "Liz caliber"!! It's nice the kids are having a great summer.

I'm so glad you had fun and Brent is still enjoying it just as much.

Now - keep that foot up and on ice - make sure you take care of it. Sprains and breaks are no fun!

Glad to have you back.

glad you had fun, ice the ankle, ibuprophen for swelling and keep it elevated
when ever possible until you feel out of the woods. Not a nurse or a doctor,
just been there, done that and it worked for me.
