Yep It's Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Yep It's Monday

Postby Sandersmr » Mon Jul 23, 2012 8:17 am

Watch someone else be posting at the same time as me. I stayed up way too late last night. My 12 year old niece posted something on Facebook that really saddened me and also made me mad, mostly at my BIL. So I sat there and stewed about it trying to come up with a solution. So far, I haven't.

A friend is taking me out to lunch to thank me for helping he and his wife. She had ankle surgery and I had a shower chair she could borrow. No real biggie on my part except I did deliver it to them. Then tonight a friend's sorority is playing bunko to raise money for Komen. That one's near and dear to my heart. But I'm afraid I'm going to be falling asleep on the dice :D

It was so nice meeting Redwahine yesterday. And now I'm really looking forward to the TX GTG.

There's yogurt and fruit if anyone is so inclined. But I think I have to keep all the caffeine for me!

Monday, Monday can't trust that day

Postby Echo » Mon Jul 23, 2012 8:24 am

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

It Monday!!!!!!!!!!!! Wake up and enjoy the morning! I'm sitting here drinking my morning coffee, have taken Shade out to P and she is now back in bed with her Sissy. Hollered at Kelly to wake her up cause she said she wanted to start getting up at 9am. HA! She said she isn't worried about it today as she had today off from WalMart. Me??? I have to go into work but at least I'm not gonna be doing dishes like the schedule said I was. Lead guy says he needs me to help close the line down. Which is kool by me. Would much rather work the line than do dishes! :D

Have no idea on what the temp is out there but it's not to bad. Plus the humidity seems to be lower too. At least I didn't feel like I was under water yesterday. This morning I have to drain the radiator and put new antifreeze in so that I can get rid of the water that's in there. Truck will run cooler to TX and back with the antifreeze than it would with water. I am not looking forward to going out and crawling under the truck at all. If for whatever reason I can not get the petcock open to drain it I will have to break down and go back up to sons so that he can do it. And I really, really don't want to have to do that. Am gonna be keeping my fingers crossed that the little petcock doesn't break or anything when I start turning the little wingnut thing!

OK, gonna go read and see what ya be been up to since last night. Hope everyone has a good day, that those who are not been feeling well get better soon. If your on the road be extra careful. And if your your home or parked I hope you have fun. But over all I hope that everyone does whatever it is your gonna do stays safe!

Love to all

HA! Someone posting? That would be me! I checked and didn't see that anyone else had started the coffee room.

Good morning to you too!!!! At least you are providing some breakfast for the hoard. I am not big on breakfast. If I'm on the road I might have some but not at home.

Good luck with the niece and BIL.

Good morning all. Just think Echo, this time next week you and Kelly may be all settled in your new home!!

I did get out yesterday for church as it was a little cooler. I was standing around after chatting with a man who has a Roadtrec and he asked if I had a generator & said that his didn't have one. I said yes but I hadn't used it yet, that I thought I had them turn my propane off at the dealer when I bought it. He looked at me for a second then politely said, ummm I think the one I'm looking at runs off gas.  I don't know what got me to thinking it ran off propane unless I was thinking it and the refrigerator worked the same. I have been bad I know not running the generator every month. There are so few Class B's around here it is unusual to talk to someone who has one.

I need to get the dogs fed and start the day. I have been a bum in this heat and the house is beginning to show it but I made a start already this morning by cleaning the stove top.

good morning everyone.. first cup'o'joe so not quite awake. Mary got me up earlier than I wanted, have to go pick veggies in the garden and get a box down to the food pantry. Snap peas, summer squash and swiss chard to donate today. I might bring some of the sweet onions also, we have too many to store cause they only last 6 to 8 weeks in the panty hose. Walla Walla's are so sweet you can almost eat them like an apple. Cereal and fruit on the menu today, nothing fancy. We should be in the 80's after a cool weekend, the tomatoes will be sun bathing. :D Can't wait for that first homegrown ripe tomato, even a cherry tomato taste better than store bought. I'm so thankful we have this wonderful garden.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Starting warmer this morning, with chance of afternoon thundershowers. I am hoping for some rain, but just no lightning.

My daughter called me this morning, asking if I would be able to come up to her house for 3 days and watch Orion while she devotes time to her paper-work, reports, etc. for her tenure requirements. I was more than happy to say YES! So tomorrow morning I will pack up and head to her house for a bit...minus the trailer this time.

My breakfast/lunch is noodles Alfredo with broccoli----YUM! Then I will have vanilla yogurt with fresh-picked raspberries for dessert.

Happy camping to all.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning all. This is such an exciting week! Barbie getting ready to go home, Echo getting a new home. (Take bell bottoms and a headband with you!) Many with health issues, take care of yourselves and do what you must do. And Soos gets to spend a couple days with her beautiful grandson. You love your children of course, but the grandparent bond is something special and different. The heat and humidity have returned, I see water in the future today! Have a good FUN and SAFE day my friends. Wendy

good morning ladies
been to work and back already. No power at the school so we had to turn around and take them back home.
First had to check and make sure parents were still home. All was good but I guess that means I miss out on
about 2 hours pay. Oh well, I'd rather sit at home with my girls then sit at work doing nothing.
Think we're suppose to have another storm today, its humid and it certainly feels like a storm could happen.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Just got through eating my breakfast/lunch pasta salad. I am getting so excited about Echo getting here!

Don't have much time today other than to read everyone's posts and then get back to work.

Everyone have a wonderful day. If you are traveling, stay safe

LynP, are you trying to reply to a post in a topic, start your own topic or send someone a PM(private message)? If you want to reply to a topic there is a place to click on Post Reply at the bottom of the topic and a box will pop up to type in and when you are finished click on Submit at the bottom of the box. If someone posts a reply while you are typing your box won't post and you can see what was posted in case you want to edit your reply before you Submit. If it goes through you will get a message that it was posted successfully.

Private messages stay in your inbox until the person you are sending them to reads them.

Others can give you clearer instructions but though I would give it a shot.

This morning I went to pick up my manager's daughter to bring her to see some ferrets. Her little sister wanted to come along too. The guy with the ferrets lives just a few blocks away from them. Mari just fell in love with ferrets after seeing pictures of mine, so I thought it would be fun for her to see some in person.

The guy has 3 ferrets, one male and two females. The females are wild little things that ran crazy all over chasing each other and not staying still for 2 seconds. Was fun to watch! The male is a big ol' mellow guy who just likes being held and isn't nearly as active, so he was good for the girls to hold and cuddle. They both loved the experience and learned a lot more about ferrets.

Just had lunch and now I need to get motivated to start in on my stuff again! Just today and tomorrow left to get it all done and ready to go! Still hemming and hawing the route to take. I checked the 10 day forecast for both ways and it will be in the mid to upper 90's across both routes (with the exception of driving across the Rockies for one day).

Have a good day where ever you are!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Lyn if you're sending private messages, they will be in your outbox until the people read them. They are sent, just not read. They'll move after people open them. And I should have finished reading the other posts - as Martha explained it, too!
