Happy Friday the 13th!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Happy Friday the 13th!

Postby Bethers » Fri Jul 13, 2012 3:05 am

I'm about to head to bed - then realized it's morning here - so way past morning for most of you - and Friday the 13th to boot. Never been superstitious about it; not going to start now.

Drizzled all day Thursday and looks like it's continuing to do the same. Sharon was still up when I got home from work, so she walked with Peaches and myself and the 3 of us got ice cream. Yum.

Off to bed for me - hope everyone has a great Friday.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Happy Friday the 13th! Like Beth I'm not superstitious either. In fact I rather embrace the day. If nothing else it's TGIF for a whole lot of folks! ;) I am up and at 'em and about ready to go out the door to work. My Friday isn't until Monday. Talk about messed up! Looking forward to Monday as a Friday.  But it sure seems to fit me. ;)

Still rainy here, woke up between 4 and 4:30am to go potty and it was raining outside. The creek here at the campground is really high but still has at last check about 4 or 5 feet to go before it's at the top of the bank. And even then it would be a stretch to reach me. I am getting horribly twitchy here as the 24th gets closer. I still need to get the wheels off of this trailer and up to son to get the tires off. I am worried about getting the axles up on the jack stands. Will probably have to dig into the dirt under the trailer and make some holes to set the stands down into. That of course means that I will have to make sure that I fill in the holes when I am all done. Will need to borrow a shovel! ~sigh~

OK, it's off I go. Hope everyone has a great, safe day and remembers to have fun with and at what your doing!

Love to all

Good morning all. Need to get my internal clock back on U.S. time, so got up at 7:30. When I go on these vacations it seems to last forever. But after I'm back, it's like a snap of my fingers. Just like my life :D Looked at tGM's blogs and as usual, he only posts a few of the 100's that he takes. And because of limited time (our days were very long) he didn't post any commentary about some of them. That will be filled in later. When we are sitting at our winter residence, he will most likely add additional posts. Need to check more posts and see what is going on with everyone. Our jello plans are to head to Sarasota for some Dr. visits, see my MIL and then ??? Coffee is calling. Hope someone else has food to offer, as my cupboard is bare ;) carold

good morning ladies
day off here for me, summer school only goes monday thru thursday.
Will work on the quilt today and hopefully get it finished. I did make some booboo's when quilting with the machine
and had to take out two whole seams, NOT FUN! Can't machine stitch the diagonals as the sewing machine is too small
to manage the bulk of the fabric in the arm.
We had a big storm the other day and its been brutally humid. Suffering through that for now but at least its not forever.
I might go into sons kitchen today and do his dishes, him and the workers have been so busy this week that no one did
the dishes, ALL WEEK! I usually don't mess with his area's but I think this time I will. He will appreciate it.
Dogs are fed and back to bed, time for another cup of coffee, review posts and email and get on with the day.
Ya'll have a great day.

Sorry about the humidity Ava, sounds like Sharon is dealing with it also. It is the worst! we are still waiting for rain and today has the best chance so the weather man says. I'm not holding my breath.
I haven't started the day very well, left the skillet on after cooking my egg and it is smelly in here. I had crazy dreams last night and even remembered part of them this morning something I don't usually do.
Nothing planned except dinner with the group from high school, which my DH looks forward to and I dread. I dislike going to dinner with a large group, food takes forever and depending on who you are seated next to determines how good or bad the evening will progress. Oh well, means I don't have to think about cooking.
Opps, past time to feed the dogs! Everyone have a good day.

Morning all. Friday the 13th doesn't bother me either. Chuck and I got married on a Friday the 13th so we always said that was a lucky day for us. Didn't get up till just after 9 this morning. Was up until about 4 this morning again. I sure hate the summer. I am going to try the pain cocktail I read about yesterday about 30 minutes before I go to bed tonight.

Took Luke to the Vet yesterday. He had put on 2 pounds since last year. They were not happy about that. He was chunky to begin with. The vet agreed that me having to walk the dogs when are full time will be a lot better for him. I have also changed their treats to just Milkbones because they don't really like them, so don't ask for a treat as often. I am real bad about not saying no when they want a treat. Hope his blood work turns out OK. They printed me a copy of his records to take with me in the MH. Now I have the records for all three.

I am getting really anxious to be able to get my MH. My MH room is really loading up and I would really like to be able to put everything away as I go instead of boxing it up and putting the boxes in there. I am decorating it in my mind everyday. Will be so glad when I can get it and start making it my own. Oh well. Echo and me, we are both ready for our new homes.

Everyone have a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

It's now afternoon...so will say "Good Afternoon, all" to ya'... ;) Have had a busy morning.....fed the Sultan & Bud ham and eggs for breakfast....then helped load his stuff in the truck so Ernie could take him back to his Mom's....they left about 9:30am....In the mean time, I started the pick up and clean up for hitting the road tomorrow...Of course, Spinner had to have his long walk this AM, too....Am providing dessert for a family supper tonight, so got that all done...did a strawberry shortcake...meaning baked biscuit mix in a square cake pan....did up the berries, poked holes in the cake after it baked, and will pour the berry mixture over it and top it with "cool whip" when I get to my sister's house later....We're heading to Ohio tomorrow for an over-night, then onto Open Range Factory & Service center near Shipsawana, IN on Sunday.....got a couple of things to be fixed under warranty...i.e...1.replace the toilet (it won't shut off the water after flushing. ) it's been getting worse since we got here and now it's got us using the water pump to flush as we can control the water that way.....it's been fun... 2. A couple of drawers have latches that won't hold shut, so will have them fixed....and to top it all off....the pull down shade on the window by the table broke a string last week, so will have that shade replaced, too....
 We've called and got an appointment for Monday....good thing Open Range RVs have a 2 yr. warranty on everything....which is really nice... ;) Anyway, after that stop, we'll really be on our "Wild West Adventure"....can't wait...and will keep ya' all posted via here or our blog....stay tuned.... ;)

Still morning here on the left coast, so guess I'm good to post here. Had to take the Chewmonster in and get her a cortisone shot this morning. I really didn't want to do that as she gets so ravenous, but it came down to her being miserable itchy or miserable hungry. She's just gonna have to deal with the hungry. I've tried everything and she just kept getting worse. She also got a new med that has a mixture of antihistamine and small dose of prednisone that should also help her. sigh. Poor little thing, I felt so sorry for her. Her skin would crawl when you petted her anywhere but on the top of her head.

Thunderstorm last nite and the humidity is even worse today. Ick! Gonna be this way until next week but by then, hopefully, I'll be on my way back east into even more of it. I'm just looking at it as getting aclimated early. :D Supposed to be another T-storm tomorrow. Ought to be fun for the grandgirls, they're doing a tent sleep out at an rv park near here. Glad I'm not involved with that.

Thought I had the sprinkler system fixed but I patted myself on the back to soon, it's back to doing what it was doing before. Oldest son is coming over Sunday to look at it. I thought he was going to have to replace the big outside light because it didn't come on one day last week, but it's been working fine since then. Must have been Jack playing tricks on me again. He messes with the daughters motion bathroom light every once in a while. She just says Hi dad and keeps on going. The grandaughter just says grandpa stopped in to say hi to her. She said if she doesn't say hi to him it keeps going on and off, but as soon as she says hi it stops. Glad that he's keeping and eye on them.

Doors on rv's seem to be a problem...remember last year when I was crawling in the driver's window on mine? Unlike Karen, I don't have a drivers door to get in. They found something that had slipped down inside and haven't had any problems since, altho they did have to fix the latch on the screen door when I had it in last week for the electric tow cord. Knock wood.

Well, back to work after I finish reading the new posts, hope everyone has a great day and try to stay cool.

Good afternoon all. I wanted to say good morning, but it was less than good. Getting my TX drivers license has been on the list for 2 yrs. I still have my Hawaii DL. Off I go, with all the docs needed to prove I am who I say I am.....Social Secuity card and passport. Plus 2 docs to prove my residency.....car registration and insurance card with adress. Wait 4 1/2 hours, get to window and they want my birth certificate instead of passport. They scan all documents into page fed scanner and their flatbed scanner was not working. I about blew a gasket. Talked to supervisor and helped her agree that I did not have to go home through flooded roads and poring rain to get yet another document. I helped her find an alternate way to put my passport into the system.....like make a xerox copy and scan that!!!! Sometimes I just wonder... :?: .....so after 5 hrs I have my temporary TX DL with the worse picture ever taken of me.

Red,

Was watching news today showing all the flooding in Houston and was worried about you. Glad you got your temp DL in hand. Not having to change state of domicile was a huge reason why I joined Escapees. That and their CARE park in case I need it for Mom in the future sometime. I already have my address in Livingston. Just have to call to activate it when we finally do get to hit the road.

Stay dry.

Dawn, try using the Tylenol PM instead of the Extra Strength Tylenol as it contains diphenhydramine (same stuff as Benadryl) I use that if it is around bedtime. I also buy the cheap OTC (over the counter) stuff, not the brand name. Just needs to contain acetaminophen (tylenol) and diphenydramine 25mg (most it can contain). I buy most of mine at Walmart as they seem to be the cheapest. Hope this helps.

Dawn & all, we are barely keeping our heads (and property) above water. See pix I posted yesterday. More heavy rain and thunder headed our way in an hour. I had to go 20 miles the other way to get to driver's license place because of flooded out roads. The creek nearby is 45' above its high mark. Where I used to walk Tyler is under 5' of water. Our ditch outside is like a lake. Think I'll inflate kayak, grab a beer and go on float trip. If I'm lucky I'll have some sashimi as well

Red how scary it must be for you. Your pics are wonderful, but frightening. Is there a way to get free and out of there should things get even worse? Stay in touch, if you can!
