Lenora, we are all here to help each other. And what's wrong with granny squares. I love those too. I save all my scraps of yarn for that purpose.

Dawn I also bought a holder for my I pad too. But mine has a key boars too.

Ok so we'll start our group with show and tell as you go ! Neato...

Oh oh. My scarf. According to Ms Dawn and my hubby. It needs 18 inches.

This scarf is becoming endless.

Been there, got the T-shirt!

I "granny squared" till my eyes crossed whiling away the winters in Alaska. Along with oil painting, acrylic painting, tole painting, quilting, fur sewing, cross stitching, rubber stamping and making clothes with a serger (generally fleece jackets).
So I'm not gonna make any more G Sqs items.

I do miss/enjoy simple crocheting, and the Tunisian stitch sounded like something I could easily do, but I'm limiting myself to just a long thin scarf or two (depending how this one turns out), to add color to some of my tops when the weather turn nippy.

Lenora, I think that by the time you are finished with this scarf you will be totally hooked (pun intended). There's the afghan stitch, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, the lace stitch.... It's endless. Nothing wrong with the G squares, but have fun with these. Linda

the key word is 'finish' I think. i'm not good with turns to start the next row. After a while I check and I'm loosing one along the way and have to rip everything out. Guess I should learn to count as I go, huh?

Lenora, the good thing about the Tunisian stitch is that there is no turning the work. I, too, had had that problem. Either I loose stitches or add them when crocheting. I don't do that with Tunisian. Linda
