Wintery Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wintery Saturday

Good Morning.

Snowy morning here at the 45th. What a day it was yesterday. An outbreak of 94 tornados and a major storm for us. I hpe and pray and all our forum sisters in those affected states and their families are okay. Such a path of destruction in some areas.

As for us here, we are still under a Winter Storm Warning till 5 p.m. this afternoon. It's hard to say just how much snow is out there, but there is a lot. I will be heading out in a short bit to at least clear off a path on my deck so the girls can get out and take care of busness. Tessa waded up to her tummy on the deck a bit ago, went about three feet, pee'd and came right back in. Sassy refused to even go out. I finally took them out through the garage and she waded a bit away from the door and took care of business as well. Poor babies. I did take a couple of pictures, but they have gone into cyber space on this computer for some reason and since my camera batteries are now dead, I cannot retake them

So I guess today is going to be a day of just monkeying around here, combined with a little snow removal and working on my Spring Welcome sign. Have a small load of wash going right now. Ironically, our weather this coming week is going to moderate into the 40's.

HoHope Sarah and Carol can continue on their journey today and that all is well at Sarah's house. I'm sure she is worried after the tornado that passed close by again.

Sounds like the TX GTG gang are enjoying the weather and even doing some sightseeing. Hope you are feeling better today, Beth.

Well, I am off to do some exploring around here. Have fun down there in TX you all. Hopefully no more storms for any of you today. Sarah, hope Magic keeps rolling along for you. Probably time to have it checked out when you get it home. As for everybody else, have a good day.

GOOD MORNING SUE AND ALL!

Glad to see Sue is up and about, although a bit mired in the white stuff today! Poor puppies trying to pee in that deep stuff! I remember my dogs being so reluctant to go anything over belly-deep and trying to figure out how to squat!

I am hoping today's weather will be a huge improvement over those violent storms yesterday, and that all of those campers in that aea that was hit find that their places are still intact. Thank heavens Sarah and Carol stopped and took refuge south of the worst of it.

As for the those at the TX GTG, we missed you all last night in the chatroom, and are still looking for some pictures of you all! Beth, I sure do hope you are feeling better today, as you seemed to be in dire straits yesterday! How well I know that feeling of being bathroom-bound, and it ain't no danged fun!

The day is another beautiful one down here in Central FL, athough the tail end of that front that spawned the tornadoes is due to pass through here late tonight, lowering our temperatures by about 20 degrees and giving us some much-needed rains. Perhaps this will not be a night I sleep on the porch, as, when it gets windy with rain, it blows in on my bed out there! I am just hoping that the front does NOT bring violent thunderstorms with it, or Molly, Dinah, and I will be hiding under our covers here in the house!

I am looking forward to hearing from you all today. May it be a safe and fun day for all.

Happy travels!

Still pretty cold here, but at least the snow is almost gone. Took the dogs for a run this morning and will probably spend the rest of the day cleaning and doing homework. (That sounds depressing for a Saturday. I did go camping two weekends ago, so maybe I'll post those pictures later today)

I can tell it's almost spring though because the Flickers are banging their little beaks into the roof.

Hope everyone has a safe and/or productive day.

Ladyhawk - I've got the studying thing as well. And I have to attack Mt. Maytag - the laundry is taking over the house.

I also need to take one of the camping comforters to the washateria - need to wash the accumulation of dog fur!!! Plus I need to get the propane tanks topped off. I really only have to do it about once a year so far.

I need to check in with my mother or sister - they are now under a flash flood warning. The storms trained across Atlanta overnight.

Hope the gals down at the GTG are doing ok this morning. It's pretty blustery here this morning.

good morning ladies, fussed for two hours trying to get my internet up this morning, I could have swore I remembered paying it,
but decided to pay it anyway and when I was able to get into my bank account discovered my memory was remembering the
payment I made on my sons account that he gave me the money to pay. So all is well now and will have to think about
setting up the automatic payment thing.
Still hoping and praying ALL of our forum sisters are ok, glad two of them have checked in.
Also waiting for some word on my car, I saw the old timing belt, could not believe how stripped out it was when it was only
30 thousand old, they are suppose to be good for 60. Guess the dealer put in an inferior belt and didn't do it at all like they
said. All the other pully's and bearings turn like they are suppose to so don't know what caused it. The only thing that needed
to be replaced in that area was a tiny little spring that was really not as strong as it should be, but auto zone didn't have
one unless you bought the whole kit with the two pullys in it. Will do that today if I have to.
Plan on doing some intense spring cleaning today and over the next few. Its certainly due and will feel good to have stuff
spic and span again. Other than that, its normal routine stuff like laundry.'
Hope you all have a great day, and please to God, no more tornados!

Just past afternoon here in the cloudy PNW. Woke up to snow two mornings ago. Glad our weather generally stays above freezing so it melted by days end.

Yesterday AM I was in so much pain with an earache I went to see the urgent care Dr. Thought it might be riled up nerves from the root canal/gum skin graft, and I was correct. My ear is just fine. The Dr asked if I had any pain meds. I do have vicodin but hate taking it. All it does is make me a zombie, does nothing to relieve the pain. I switched to Advil and that works great. Had another painful AM but as soon as the Advil kicked in I feel better. Will be nice when my roof of my mouth heals (where they took the skin for the graft), and next Wed. I get the stitches out from the lower front gum area. I'm using my Magic Bullet like crazy. After 3 days of yogurt and mashed bananas and protein drinks I made a pot of brown rice and beans. Zinged them in the bullet and sipped off a small spoon. Boy did that hit the spot!

I have been watching the news on the tornado situation. I can't wrap my mind around how distructive Mother Nature can be and how quickly lives can change for families, communities, states and the nation. My heart aches.
