Just adding my Welcome to the list. Sounds like you are getting your plans organized slow but sure and are heading in the right direction. So many decisions. I'm getting my ducks lined up here too slow but sure. Hoping to retire either this year or definitely next. Not sure about selling my house yet as I don't know if I want to full time RV and housing market here in MI is not good right now as is.

Ah, the joys of looking for a TT. Those new toy haulers are really neat, you should check them out. Need to go to some RV shows and dealers lots, do a lot of climbng in and out and looking and head scratching and.....

If you want to haul a motorcycle in your RV, you need to look at some type of toyhauler. You can find them as motorhomes, 5th wheels, and travel trailers but hauling a motorcycle is definitely more than just making a wider door. Take a look at froggi's blog to see the great toyhauler they have but keep in mind that they come in different sizes and levels of luxury as well as vehicle types. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum, Katheryn !!! Sorry about my delayed welcome, but I am clearing out stuff here too. Haven't been on much and behind in all my welcomes to newbies here.
You sound like you know what you might like to travel in. I think I would look into a toy hauler though, can't imagine a bike in the middle of the livingroom (gas and oil smell would be my concern). Right now in the ads in the papers, you may just find what you are looking for. Good luck to you all and keep us posted as you go along, please.

Yea, I walked through a 2011 RAPTOR 5th Wheel Toy Hauler, by Keystone, OH MY GAWD!!!!!! IT WAS FABULOUS!!
But, there are plenty of others...but I will never forget that moment in time!

Be sure to check out the toyhaulers for your bikes. That said, a lot of people have their bikes on a rack attached to the back of their rig. You really want to think about having your bikes inside where you want to live - most of those 5ers come with carpet.

Katheryn, I'm a little late to the party, but I want to welcome you to the forum. We have a great time and have answers to all your questions. Not all the right answers for everyone, but pretty darned good information nonetheless.

I LOVE 5'ers (I travel solo in a motor home) and I'd like to second the suggestion that you look at the toy haulers. You could find an older one and upgrade it to your luxury likings if you care to.

Your plans sound exciting. Join in the conversations, ask any questions, and by all means share pictures of your search (AND your bike!).
