HAPPY SUNDAY TO YOU ALL!!!
It's not too cold here this morning, but at 28, it's still below freezing. I noticed that my poor lilac bush that got dumped on by heavy, wet snow falling off my metal roof is beginning to get buds that are growing bigger on the branches that survived the weight. Some bushes are still frozen beneath the snow that fell on them and immediately turned to ice while I was at school....I have decided to just let them thaw out by themselves rather than try to hack them free and risk hacking some intact bushes off, too. Many got broken off, but some actually appear to have survived the blow. Lilacs are my favorite spring flowers, so I can't WAIT to see how many of the buds contain baby flowers and not just baby leaves. It's always fun to watch them 'hatch' each spring!
I noticed that the eagle in the live web cam is growing HUGE now, and that one or the other of the adults is always remodeling the nest and feeding their huge, fluffy offspring! I also re-established a connection to the National Geographic Pete's Pond last night, as I love watching that water hole for Afrocan animals that come to quench their thirst. Before, with dial-up internet connection, it was almost impossible to watch. With DSL, it's like a live movie! For those who might be interested, here is the link to that live cam:

Remaining moon is bright in the sky this morning, so I am hoping for a somewhat cooler, but sunny day. I am practicing for getting up early again this morning, so as to not waste any time today!
Hope you all have a fun day and keep in touch so we can share your activities.
