SUNNY SUNDAY TO APPEAR AT DAWN

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

SUNNY SUNDAY TO APPEAR AT DAWN

HAPPY SUNDAY TO YOU ALL!!!

It's not too cold here this morning, but at 28, it's still below freezing. I noticed that my poor lilac bush that got dumped on by heavy, wet snow falling off my metal roof is beginning to get buds that are growing bigger on the branches that survived the weight. Some bushes are still frozen beneath the snow that fell on them and immediately turned to ice while I was at school....I have decided to just let them thaw out by themselves rather than try to hack them free and risk hacking some intact bushes off, too. Many got broken off, but some actually appear to have survived the blow. Lilacs are my favorite spring flowers, so I can't WAIT to see how many of the buds contain baby flowers and not just baby leaves. It's always fun to watch them 'hatch' each spring!

I noticed that the eagle in the live web cam is growing HUGE now, and that one or the other of the adults is always remodeling the nest and feeding their huge, fluffy offspring! I also re-established a connection to the National Geographic Pete's Pond last night, as I love watching that water hole for Afrocan animals that come to quench their thirst. Before, with dial-up internet connection, it was almost impossible to watch. With DSL, it's like a live movie! For those who might be interested, here is the link to that live cam:

Remaining moon is bright in the sky this morning, so I am hoping for a somewhat cooler, but sunny day. I am practicing for getting up early again this morning, so as to not waste any time today!

Hope you all have a fun day and keep in touch so we can share your activities.

SUN? What's that? Anyone know how to turn a little travel trailer into an Ark? Grrrrrrr...and I was going to do my pressure leak test today! Oh, well.

So, breakfast at The Blue Marlin is going to be Eggs A La Goldenrod (Hubby's favorite), sausage, juice and coffee. Y'all are welcome to join us.

I wanted to try my hand at Eggs Benedict, which I love but have never made before. First thing I looked up was Hollandaise sauce...hahahahahaha! Looks like that's off the menu - heart attack on a plate. Except, I guess - everything in moderation. Maybe I will try it another day, after all.

Hope everyone has a fine, relaxing day. Travel safe, and all you guys with colds and backs and quitting bad habits and ailing loved ones - I hope you're doing better, if not GREAT, this Sunday morning. What a wonderful bunch of women!

Michelle

PS: Little quiet here without Echo...hope she's doing well, too!

It's cold here this morning too, enough to freeze our huge water puddles & mud! We had rain since Thursady, a non-stop slow drizzly rain that does so much good for the earth! I think our storm total was about 2 inches, a rather large amount for this part of the country.Us humans had a bit of a time getting around. Now the already greening grass and weeds will literally jump outa the ground!

We have our house plans almost finalized so it's time to really get serious.

All the rain was nice but we found a leak around our big slide-out so spent most of the day vacuuming up water. Now we'll have to figure out how to fix it or we'll be pullling in the slide everytime we have moisture! Garsh, it's always something!

Now I need to find the counter to make some real coffee!

Oh, no sunshine here today. In fact, we are under another potential severe weather warning for the day. Heavy rain, hail, and winds up to 60 mph. Yesterday was great; a good reminder of what sunshine and calm winds looks like.

I got my first pair of hearing aids a couple of days ago. Have been busy learning to hear again. Some new sounds are wonderful surprises; others are a bit scary or annoying. Who knew it was such a noisy world? Have a squeaky door - like entering a horror movie set, learned microwave beeps, toilet flush sounds like a cannon going off, birds, music, and conversations are the best of this new world. Have dusted off all sorts of old music to play - everything from Willie Nelson, Elvis Presley to the 1812 Overture and some piano concertos . My soul danced the night away to the sounds even if my body would not cooperate.

Given the yukie weather, will likely hang around the house today and might accomplish something if I can stay off the computer.

Leaving a few pieces of fruit for breakfast for those rising late. Wishing all a very good day.

Beautiful Sunday morning here, and happy Easter to our orthodox friends. Haven't had breakfast yet ... I went out this morning and cleaned out a flower bed. Checked on my veggie garden and realized the shadow cast by my MH is keeping my it from thriving. Sigh. If I have to choose ... the garden goes!!

I'm planning to get on my scooter for a ride ... it's supposed to get close to 70 degrees today. I took it out for a turn yesterday ... and it was lovely. I went out to the Salt Lake Marathon route and cheered on the last 100 runners or so at mile 17 ... they are my HEROES. With the carburetor cleaner I'm running through it, the performance is improving. Maybe one day it will actually IDLE. I had one situation that could have turned into an accident ... I need to be more watchful.

Anyway ... have a great day, ladies!
