Thursday Morning..and I'm still waiting !!!...Ever notice when dealing with so called "Officials" how you have to wait it out..kind of like the Wait Game...or the Shuffle..However, I can be patient ....but, iffn' it goes beyond a few days...hummmm I then have another plan of action.. In some situations you have to have several plans (always amazes me) to get affirmative action... First rule: Always consider the chain of commands...then after that and it fails...they ya pull that chain and FLUSH IT !!! Yesterday, I sat an waited by the phone....yeah it was hard..but I did it ! Today, I do have a GM meeting and unfortunately I have nothing so far to report.. other than, "Sorry Charlie, no one has returned my calls "...

Birdbybird (Tina) In response to your mention of Dog Laws and Actions being taken... I've been involved for "Years" with legislation in Pa regarding certain bills attempting to be passed...It certainly has been a vicious battle and each time it comes to the home plate, we've managed to get it knocked down...Between the Kennel Clubs and the AKC (which makes their money from US) we've been struggling... I've also been State Licensed for years and have had to put up with the Nonsense of Pop in Inspections. In our struggles we have gone through "Pet Manufacturing Companies (Pet market is over 16 billion dollars) to help us...after all, if it puts damage to US...it also affects them..and their industry...Only way to make a noise is when it hits their pocketbook...and the battle still continues..

Sparkle, (Jean) I never started a column on the "Kill the dog"...but only in my morning column as it had just came to me here where I live for the winter months regarding the 911 and what would they do about my dogs...but I will continue to post regarding this until I get some answers.. Like I said, "it can happen to any of You " so this is an important issue... So topic as of right now is mainly here in the Morning Coffee..

Ok, let me make a quick stroll through ....

Avalen (Ava) Great news on your Brother ! but I know we'll continue to pray for his recovery...a long hall...but a good one at that !

RetiredHappy (Karen) Packing up always amazes me too... I know I acquired more "Stuff" and each time I keep saying.."No More"...still have my Doodle Loom however LOL Yes, Hitch itch is a feeling of.. I need my wheels under me and color me gone ....Soon, Karen....soon !!!

Check under the Pet Section..and you'll find... Redetotry (BJ) and Winnie...yep on their great routine of exercise :) good one BJ !! and Birdbybird (Tina) and her fury ones.. Tina, my girlfriend who's with me now..is one of the top Cocker breeders for years..and yep I use to show those sweeties too..gotta love them long ears !!!

Nakedpupsandme (Micki) hope all is going well with your babies..do let us know how surgery went...we are thinking of you !

Campfire has lots of neat stop bys...always good to be sitting by the fire and roasting something and with a cold one in your hand too.. Now that doesn't have to mean Alcohol.. what ever ya like...LOL...Good thing Ernie done built that shelf...

Beth sure hope you are feeling better...drink plenty of fluids...oh now if you is by the campfire that surely will help ya...LOL..

Echo, you too...make sure you bundle up...and yeppers another day on that calendar... :D

Nasoosie..(Soos) I know you are happy for more snow.. and so is Cedar..one for skiing and the other to keep warm and having that 'Day Off"...don't blame ya there Cedar...nothing I could think of than keeping warm and relaxing with feet up and a good book...aaaaaaah that be nice..

Ok, seems all the Sista's are pretty much either doing catch up or making plans to hit the open roads...well, iffn' ya get a chance to stop by...stop in and tell us what's happening in your world....

In the kitchen now..putting on that coffee pot and that whistling kettle..something neat about hearing that go...Oh and I know I forgot to mention here...I got that Nordic Egg Boiler in the Microwave...another pretty neat gadget...and yep it works...in fact I'm gonna get that going to make up some egg salad for this afternoon...

Sista's table is set, come pull up a chair and join in.. Have Jewish Apple Cake, Danish, Crumb Cake and Corn Muffins..aaaaaah toasted if ya like.. and gots my Biscotti..for the dunkers...love dunkin in good coffee....

May your Adventures be Great Ones and your Journey be a Safe one too...

God Bless

Zeee......

Good Morning, Barb, and everybody.

I had such a lengthy post on your dog motions the other day, Barb, but I tried to edit it in the preview panel, and that pretty much sent it into byteland graveyard! I am anxiously awaiting what you hear from the powers that be, as this problem of what to do with our furry guardians when we might need to call for help or someone to rescue us is VERY important to resolve. I am hoping you hear something positive today. It's wonderful that you are taking them on about this---if you need signatures or something, I would be happy to be number one on any document you might wish to put together. GO GIRL!!!

We have some pretty new snow here this morning, and it's a nice warm 22 above zero----perfect skiing weather! Wish I had the day off, but......off I go to school!

I hope those in the Georgia area avoided those reported tornadoes and bad hail I saw on the news just now. The hail looked as scary as the wind! Plese get in touch with us, if you still have power and you are ok.

Happy Thursday to you all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning Zeee and all you gals. I just grabbed a cup of coffee and I'm headed back to bed. We had a long day yesterday and went to bed early, That means I wake up before it is time to get up. Fortunately coffee doesn't keep me awake so I'm headed back for a nap before Tobey says it is time to get up. Good luck with the pet laws Barbzeee!!!!

If they can use tranquilizer darts on wildlife why can't they keep some on hand for dogs? I know Bogie was just doing his job, protecting me when I was down, nd if they had to shoot him the bullet would have gone through me as I would have had my arms around him. Of course this is always supposing I'm conscious.

Good morning everyone....

Barbzee, we're all waiting with you, want to hear what the officials have to say. I'll tell you it's a long wait, waiting for officials to respond, and then they don't always agree, or change their mind! I'm going through that wait on the code enforcement/building permitting/inspection process on my garage/room renovations. First they license and approve the plans my handyman submits, then when the work is nearly done, they say it can't be done that way and it's beyond the scope of his license. Now a building contractor has looked at it and in his opinion no permit was needed in the first place! He's supposed to talk to the officials today and let us know. What to do....all I want is to do the right thing and get the room legally on the books, but they make you want to just do it and forget it.

Also waiting for those storms that hit Georgia to pass through here this morning.

The Pleasureway is in the shop, getting checked out; waiting to hear the good and the bad news on that.

So, it's just a day-in-waiting.

Hope the rest of you do not have to wait....just enjoy the day!

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

Brrrrrr it's pretty dang chilly on the back porch this morning and the wind that's blowing hard out there of course makes it worse. The wind is blowing hard enough that it makes the pant legs on my jammies flap and snap.

Barbz you have my support in what your doing that's for sure. I know we've had dogs that would have caused a problem to rescue crew. Luckily the one time something did happen my Dad had the dog under control. It's not a pretty picture to have in mind of what to do when the person on the floor is in a life threatening condition and a dog wont let anyone near. When to make the decision and how do to make that decision to put down an animal to save a life. I wouldn't think it would be an easy thing for most anyone to live with. Not if you have any heart at all. When I was a kid we had German Shepards who were extremely protective of the family. Which in one way was a very good thing but it did cause more than a few problems. Mom would have to have Dad put them out if she was gonna discipline me. The one time she forgot and cracked my butt with a paddle, one dog grabbed her by the arm and held her. The other dog got in between us to guard me. Oh boy was my Mother PO'd. LOL Yet they would have turned right around and done the same to anyone to protect Mom. So how does anyone make the decision to put the animal down or let the human die? And when family is involved it makes it so much worse. How many family members are gonna thank the rescue people for letting Granny die or junior die because they would not put a dog down. I have to admit if it came down to losing Kelly, David or a dog no matter how loved I sure would choose to save the kids over the dog??? Were it me on the floor? If I were in the position of needing life saving medical care and someone was gonna shoot my dog to get at me? I would be wanting them to find another way. DON'T shoot my dog. A rabies pole comes to my mind and sleeves.

Lot of good postings on the forum this week. Sarah's post of the missing person has really had me thinking hard this week. Oh boy do I wish I could find my missing person. I lost track of her not to long after she was 39. I think she might be hanging around somewhere but there's a lot of life and water over the dam blocking and hiding her. I honestly don't know if I have the energy and strength to help her get out and into the light again.

Looking at the Weather Channel. Ewwwwwww! Nasty weather out and all around. Last eve at work while we were out on break the dang skies opened the flood gates and added some hail into the mix too. I hope everyone is safe and well tucked in to ride out the storms. Altho I know Sooos wont be riding, she'll be gliding!!! LOL

Ok I guess it's time to get off my butt and get dressed. Need to leave a little early for work today. Need to get the water bill paid and then stop at the store quick, then it's off to the daily grind of phone calls. ~sigh~ I'll be sure and fill my travel mug with some of your most excellent coffee and I think I grab a piece of that Apple cake too. YUM :D

Hope everyone has a great day, stay safe and warm.

Love to all

Good morning everyone!

We only got 2" of snow here Zeee,... not enough to even blink at. We're on winter break so I'm home anyhow. :D

My week off on winter break is going by much too quickly! Got a date with a Netflix movie today,.... and will be home all day again tomorrow before I head out to basketball games tomorrow evening. Our varsity girls and boys are working their way through league championship and state sectional games. Both teams are expected to get a long way up that ladder. I'll be following them all the way as long as I have a dollar in my pocket and gas in my car!

Everyone stay well, stay happy,..... have a great day!

Morning All. I'd complain about my cold, but are much more worthy causes to complain about - like yours, Zeee, and yours, Liz. Good luck both of you with the offficials.

Today, if all goes well, I'll be replacing my 13" tv with the new flat screen 19" I bought. Unfortunately, the man who was going to do this project for me, is no longer here at this park. It's not something I can do myself, as I don't have the tools, nor do I feel comfortable putting the holes in the cabinet where the arm will go. That's the only part I really need help with. Someone else has said he'll be by today to do this, so my fingers and toes are crossed that he doesn't forget. The project changed some - as the original guy was also going to put a hinged door where there will be an opening in the cabinet where the 13" was - but now I think after all is done, I'll figure out a way to put some type of curtain there - and then will bungee whatever I store in there as necessary. No rush on that part. I hope :)

OK, I'm off for my cold meds and tylenol and maybe a nap - hoping to hear the knock on the door to get this project done. Have a great day everyone.

Morning all !
I think I'll get the sewing machine out today - my sister and her kids are coming out to visit me at the end of the month and I'd like to make what I call "adventure bags" - they're just tote bags, but I've made them for the kids before and I fill them with fun stuff and ta-da !! Adventure Bags !!! I figure we can use them to collect rocks, shells and other treasures from the beach.
I hope you all have a great day today

'Morning All
Zeee, hope you get a positive response today. Waiting can be more than annoying.

My bookkeeping day did not go exactly as planned but there was progress so at least better off today than yesterday. Actually, forecast yesterday was for rain/storms but by mid day, the sun came out and temps reached into 70s. I just had to go out because knew temps to drop big time today. We were under a tornado watch most of afternoon but most of the bad weather skipped on over to GA. Now we are in for a very cold weekend with chance of snow by Sunday. Crazy!

Plan to spend part of afternoon with Sparkle (YEA!), then back to the books (UGH!). Maybe she will kidnap me and all that papers will go the other way.

Have a fun and warn day
