Wednesday...the Middle of the Week..and Morning too ! aaaaah maybe that's why it's called "Hump Day"...a bit unusual to me..but hey, who am I to break tradition..(whose I just don't know ) and so my Saga continues...but I'm still in working mode..now I have the Chief of Police, the Emergency Squad Deputy, The Animal Control Manager, and the Sheriff's Depatment..all going to contact me with what answers they can give me...Oh and I have a GM meeting tomorrow..So today...being optimistic should be a rather interesting and a bit of a hectic day...Gonna set my phone on record (of course I have to advise them of that) as taking notes sometimes can be a little obscure..

Now a some what scan of our Sista's in their happenings ....I hear in the background Billy Joel (one of my favorites too) In the Middle of the NIght...I go walking in my sleep..aaaaaaah sure enough Billy... here I go..sure hope I don't trip

Yes, those Suspension Rods are wonders...have always used them..as 3 of my Rigs had those accordion doors and where can ya hang anything...LOL See Kellie, always ask an Rver as She's sure to know...That a Gal Beth !! oh, I too Kellie, love the can of coke...great resting place

Cnanago (Micheline) has a "New Baby" Yep, it don't wake her in the middle of the night nor does it cry..but it can sure make it's way across the Border and down the Highways...!!! Alrighty, Micheline...Congrats are in order..and a good choice too..now next when you can figure out how to post pictures..(don't hesitate to ask us ) we can't wait..and ya know..it's good to hear it's also in the family..going full time..you can't imagine how your life is gonna change..things you've dreamed about..Can come true...Such beauty to see..and you can take your time...We're all happy for ya...and nosy of course.. by the way.. Mtngal (Diana) I enjoy Marimba music..surely makes ya wanna jump up and move...but I love almost all kinds of music and did a lot of festivals..in fact I'm more a Blues lover... lots of great ones out there ..some you camp at too...yeah, love them kind..they go on and on..lots of good food too..

The Campfire has now a shelter and a shelf..and NaSoosie (Soos) is looking for words of wisdom...mmmm now ya know Soos...a lot can be said by a campfire especially when a few beers is passed amongst Sista's...RV Granny (Lori and Ernie) ya did good keeping count on them beers...LOL...and with all that tin we is collecting..mmmm might be able to have a Shin Dig !! wait..if it's bottles of beer on the wall..where did the Tin cans come in ?????? Just asking LOL ooooooooops..somebody spilled the beans !!!

Retiredhappy (Karen) I went through the Pet section and came across your Armadillo story...and I thought I had typed it out..but must have been one of my early morning rages..but I still laughed when I re read it..for those that did miss this article..please do read it... and Karen ya thought you couldn't ski...but I do understand the Sit number..cause when the dogs are in the run mode...What was that you said ????? LOL Who are YOU ???? Yeah I fully understand those instances....visual picture is also feet digging in to the soil...almost like plowing oh my what a thought...hitting instant replay button...

Ok, all.. I'm getting away with myself here...and the mind is really going ...LOL...now I need to get into the Kitchen and Rattle them Pots and Pans... I have a Jewish Apple Cake that is delicious...I have Oatmeal Raisin Walnut Chocolate Chip cookies..that are the BEST.. I have Orange glazed buns..and of course I have Biscotti.... The Coffee Pot is perking..the Kettle is Whistling and yep I have a bottle of OJ..fresh squeezed too.. so come one come all and join in ..let's hear where your at and whatcha doing...

Good morning Zeee and Soosie,.... our usual early birds! I'm just chillin' here at home today. I was going to visit elderly realitives with my friend Kathy ,..traveling to the other side of the north country, but the approaching storm has made us re-think that plan. Maybe Saturday.

so I'll be here with my feet up in the recliner watching a movie,.... sounds good to me for a snowy day!

I start today to get ready to roll again. first thing on Friday morning. Sarah and I went to Bingo last night and at least she got to yell BINGO! She was disapointed she had to split it witrh another winner, but it was a free nights entertainment and we met a nice couple we sat with.
I can't remember if there is a seperate thread on the "kill the dog"". But its got me thinking. When I was on crutches one sank in the leaves and I fell flat on my back. Bogie immediately straddled me and glared at the woman I had been talking to. She called out, I can't come over and help you. Bogie knew her, and she was a woman, he doesn't like men, so you can imagine if an ambulance driver or a cop had been there.

Zeee, thanks for hoping my cold disappeared, but unfortunately, it's here, full strength. However, the power of women is strong, even off the forum. I went in at 6 and my work partner offered up her roomie to work for me - I was back home by 6:15. Gave Peaches a good long walk cuz I was up anyway - and now we are both settled on the couch. Just drank a cup of hot broth. I'm getting ready to take some tylenol as well as another dose of Zicom and lie back down.

Now, any of you out there - stay away from me LOL - I do not want to give this to you.

Almost walked with Peaches to the beach this morning to see the sunrise, but it's cloudy out and I realized that there probably wouldn't be one. In my foggy state of mind, took awhile to realize that - got to wonder where the brain cells go?

feeling good....the Herschel dog is all about getting out of the house today and getting to visit his friends. The pups spent most of yesterday sitting around while I was working on the computer at the Apple Store (also took a side trip and picked up a new paddle for the kayak and a life vest for the Stuart dog.) The pups do not appreciate the finer points of my leaving them behind on any trip and now feel that they are due some face time. Herschel and Remi will request their usual driver for a Health Care visit -they often remind me of how much more attention they get there than here at home while I am on the 'puter typing. Stuart gets to go to training class this evening. He and a friend of mine keep reminding me that he should be through his Rally titles by now bc he is a good dog...but no, someone doesn't take him to training often enough...dogs do guilt? Blondie will sit around and try to hang a ride in the car to anywhere....she is satisfied with "ride alongs". So today I am going to the dogs....or at least with them.

I will be thinking of you Sparkle, good luck. Along the line of animal welfare, are any of you guys following some of the animal rights legislation that is being pushed through particularly in IL, IN and PA at the moment. I think the AR extremists and HSUS are backing most of it and in IN they were trying to get it through without a public hearing with input from the formal Dog Organizations. There is of course good points in the legislation that would benefit the welfare of animals,those points get the attention of legislators and can be emotional.... but there are also much written in the fine print that take away the rights of the hobby/show breeder and pet owner. It will make very difficult for some of the rescue groups. And make the headaches we saw of breed specific laws look like a walk in the park. READ THE FINE PRINT PEOPLE. It is not like all individuals and families are going to stop wanting pure breed dogs. But it will mean that only the commercial kennels will be up and running and we all know how the present laws have not been enforced in that area already. The sad part is that HSUS has a lot more $$ and is much better organized that the local All Breed and Specialty groups. I can see a future were I may have to decide which states I can drive through with the MH depending upon dog legislation. Deep Breath....let it out........where did all that come from...I am getting off that soapbox now. I think I need to hug my Therapy dog......

Oh shoot! Beth and I crossed paths and my post disappeared! Sorry about your cold, but fun to have a unexpected day off?

I am also thinking about the packing, but having NO MOTIVATION to get started. If the weather is clear on the west coast, I will leave TX on Sunday. It will be a sad day to leave DD and GDG.

Well, I have suspended shopping for an RV for a few weeks. Not so many for sale in CA as here in TX and the rest of south. I am disappointed, but
no reason to be in a hurry, the "one" will come along someday when I am least expecting it!

The weather is forecast to be in mid 80s today! I'm going out to soak it all up before heading home to winter. Have a fun day!!!

Oh, now I remember the rest......my brother had an airdale when we were kids, Gus was the sweetest dog during the day. At night when DB was sleeping, Gus would give a warning growl if anyone entered the room. Don't know how far he would have taken it. My brother always slept through the whole thing and didn't believe that Gus growled at us.

Morning all - well we are starting to check the map to see where we'll end up next. South somewhere. Will either leave Friday or Monday as The Driver doesn't like to drive weekends here.
Had a nice day yesterday. Went to another town around here and checked it out. It is where most of the mangos are grown, lots of orchards. Then went out to dinner here to a nice out door restaurant then went looking at ticky tackys and bought a shot glass and magnet. Then up to the historic district to the big plaza there and had a glass of wine at one of the outdoor cafes. Listed to a couple of people playing music on drums and sax. Watched famalies stroll around.
Real nice.

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!!!

Rainy here on my back porch, temp isn't to bad out there. Yahoo says low 30s, what's left to the thermometer says in the low 40s. Never in my life have I seen a dog like David's for hating to get rained on! She goes out there in the rain, scrunches up her eyes, her skin starts to shudder, her head hangs down as soon as she's out the door and the rain hits her. When she hits the grass you would swear that she's trying to walk on broken glass. Cracks me up something wicked!!!

Work yesterday wasn't to awful bad. Nothing to complicated to deal with, no crying mortgagees, no one wanting to argue or fight on the phone and the calls were nicely paced. Ahhhhhh Sup tried to set some of us up in a training class to do compliance training, but the computers wouldn't co-operate. I guess we are going to try again today. This is something that is suppose to be done every year but we have never had it. It's something that I guess the 'collections' part of the business doesn't worry about. Why??? I haven't a clue.

Talking about paying taxes? I paid $568 to the great state of Maine that they notified me that I owed them from my 2005 taxes. Oh joy! I just loved paying that! NOT!!!! So that took a chunk of money I had saved aside. By goodness that had better be the last of it. I had to pay fed taxes a couple of years ago that they said was owed to them. Love how they blind side ya when ya least expect it.

Kelly came out for a few minutes and then said she was going to lay back down for at least another hour. LOL Poor baby, she went to a club last night with a few people from work. One of the guys invited her to the club because he was performing in a drag show!! LOL She said his first performance was pretty good but that the second wasn't so hot. She didn't like his outfit for the second one either. So she's a little tired this morning. I went to bed at midnight and she was still out. David and Jenny came home early. Jenny is sicker than sick with the coughing crud now too. I guess she is going to the clinic for it today.

Well I suppose I had better get to going. Nothing exciting going on in my life today, that's for sure! Need to check my email and get dressed. That's it for my wild life. Hmmmm? I think that there's a missing person from here too.

Good morning all

A wet and dreary day here but not cold. Lots of little spring plants peeking out, some already blooming. Winter not over yet, another cold snap headed this way for the weekend.

This will be a bookkeeping day for me. Have got to get that finished in order to start on taxes. Yes, I'm way behind.

Just learned last night I should have been reducing photos before posting. Will tackle that, then the bookkeeping. Think I'll try reposting the missing person with a head this time. Can't stand the thought of defeat by technology but have no idea about the resizing thing.

On the pet/emergency response issue. I am going to check on what our local officials have in terms of a policy. Like Beth, if my dog is hurt in the process, they might as well forget it. Do keep us posted on what you learn. Maybe we could eventually get a better nation wide policy on the the subject. One such improvement is finally beginning to emerge regarding evacuations during natural disasters.
