Good Morning All you campers and campers-to-be!
I did book me another sick day! Hence, no alarm clock to rudely awake me at 4:30! I just stoked up my wood fire, as while I'm home, I have the kerosene Monitor stove turned off. It was a beautiful sunny day up here yesterday, and got almost to 60! It's a warm 22 for morning right now, so might get really nice again here today. I feel way much better this morning, but had already told school yesterday that I was taking another day, as I still had a fever. Fever feels gone today (my skin doesn't hurt any more----a fever sign for me!) so I am hoping to get some yard and home chores done.
I tried to start the Kicker yesterday, which is in front of my trailer in the shelter, but the starter, which was iffy at best, finally gave up the ghost. I will call the local towing-repair shop guys today to come pick it up and replace the starter and put in a new battery for it. Fiddling with the wire to the starter just didn't cut it any more yesterday. 50 attempts in and out of the car and fiddling, along with a jump starter on it, and NOTHING! Peculiar, as I managed to get it started even in the horrid cold all winter long. I can't wait to be able to get it up and running for my back trails and to use it to carry all my 'stuff' to the leanto so I can stay there during Spring Peeper season. How I LOVE to hear that chorus in the spring!
Coffee is brewing, and I have a cup of instant Hazlenut while waiting for the good stuff.....help yourselves.
We might get some rain later in the day, and probably tomorrow, so I need to make good use of this grea sun that's rising now. Molly and I will walk to the pond today and see what needs to get done to the leanto. I am anxious to try out my new 12-volt digital TV down there, too, if I can rig up an aerial for it! Some of our local stations have free-over-the-air digital broadcasts now!
Hope you all have a fun day, wherever you may be.
