TGIF

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

TGIF

Goooood Morning Sistahs!

I have got that big ol' never ending pot of coffee sitting here waiting on ya'll. Got lots of pies to choose from so take your pick. Not to even mention all the homemade breads and stuff. That is if you think you dare eat anything yet!!!

Well it's the day after, did we all make it thru Turkey Day. Nobody burst did they? Is everybody's seams ok? Their zippers and buttons? LOL By time I went to bed last night I was still waddling. And? I think I's still full too. It's really a good thing that it only happens like that once a year. Whew

How many are braving the stores and the day today? Black Friday!! That is one thing I have never done, gone running out to shop on the day after Thanksgiving. Tell you the truth I hate shopping this time of the year. People act so horrible, their rude and pushy trying to get what they think they 'have' to have. And I think their driving skills take a vacation too. Sure does seem like a lot of accidents happen between now and Christmas.

OK, I am gonna go check my other mail and get my comic fix. Then off to the shower. We have to work today even tho it's suppose to be our day off. The are still cramming the overtime at us. We were suppose to only work 4hrs today? Now they've made it mandatory to work not just a full shift? But until they say we can go home and on the paper they passed out it said that it could be 10pm before they shut it down tonight. Lovely place.

Hope everyone has a good day. Please stay safe!!!

Love to all

Waddle? hmmmm.... I'm still crawling, can't even waddle!

But, I think with my coffee this a.m. I'll go for another piece of pecan pie :o ,... oh Echo thanks for putting out those leftover pies. yummy.

Re: Black Friday? Not me,.. I'll leave that to my DD and DGD,... I did it once years ago and vowed never to do it again. I guess there are great deals if you want to stand around outside the door from 2 a.m. on! I'd rather be here in Zeee's Kitchen with you all! :D

I think today will be a quiet day here for me. My friend Kathy is here for Thanksgiving weekend so we'll probably play some scrabble, watch a movie, whatever we decide.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning, all.....
Yep, not moving very fast this morning......the coffee smells great and I got a big cup of it!! ;) Hopefully it will perk me up to move... Thanks Echo for the spread at Barbzeee's table...I agree with Cedar that a small slice of pie would go well with the coffee.... ;)

Yuck!! on the Black Friday shopping craze.....worked retail too long to want to be on the other side of that counter....I'll go in the middle of the week, during the day..... But hey, if you enjoy the crowds, etc., go for it and good luck getting those great deals.... ;)

All righty, then.....off I go to read the e-mail and to check the posts here....
Have a great day, All!!!

Good morning ladies, I've been up a long time but tinkered around here quietly
doing minor chores until ya all got up. Finished off the leftover coffee but your
fresh pot is SO good. Now I'm hungry too so gonna get some hot buttered toast
and get on with the heavy chores, laundry.
I never do black friday, actually, have no reason to but I did go to the grocery
store one year by mistake and when I realized it was black friday I turned
around and went back home. Just too many people in the store, drives me nuts.

Happy day after!

My turkey day was great...good to see some family members and pig out. Interesting to see that I can't pig out half as much as I used to, thank heavens!

BUT, the drive home was HORRID! It was warm down in the Champlain Valley, where I went....about 39 degrees. (No snow down there at all, either.) Coming home, uphill all the way, it quickly got below freezing with freezing rain and then heavy snow coming down. Thank heavens for the 4-wheel drive on my trusty truck! Many cars could not make the hills, as the plow drivers were probably still at their Thanksgiving tables! Roads were covered with black ice on the bottom, slush to grab at your tires and throw you around, and heavy snow on top of it all! Molly and I made it back here safely, and I was never so happy to step out in my driveway!

Today I need to go grocery shopping for stuff to make my turkey soup, and am hoping the grocery stores will be empty while everyone else is Christmas shopping at the malls! I have no funds for Christmas shopping this year, and plan to pick up little fun things at our dollar stores in the area. I am going to try to make a DVD, music and pictures and short videos included, for my family. I tried one last spring, and I was very happy with it, so will try a really good one for Christmas.

I envy those of you with family visiting, friends to play games with, someone to share the holiday season with. I simply can't help being lonely at this time of year, no matter how many blessings I count. I miss sharing. Prior to marriage and kids, I was happy as a clam with nobody around. Then I got re-programmed, and can't seem to revert to hermit mode!

It's snowing hard up here this morning, and very pretty. I will send along a picture of the Duckhouse Pub taken from my deck earlier. Hope to be able to ski after I get turkey soup under way later.

Regards to all from me and Molly

Morning, All! I've been sleeping and sleeping some more. Will save some pie for later, though - thanks for putting it out.

Soos, that picture could be on a postcard - or better yet - what a great jigsaw puzzle it would make - it's gorgeous! Thanks for sharing it.

Good morning ... nope ... didn't bust my stuffing either. But it was close.

I'm still sittin' at home ... not braving the Black Friday crowds. I think I'll be a Black Monday person ... sitting at my computer and ordering Christmas gifts on line. I have a budget and when I shop I find too many things I want for myself. LOL.

I did set up my Christmas decorations last week, so it's looking holiday-ish. A few presents under the tree will help with the festive flair.

WOW we have Internet today - was off all day yesterday as the only guy at the campground who knows about it was out of town. Stop complaining right! We had dinner at our youngest sons house with him, his wife and Bill's brother and sister-in-law who also live here in Vegas. She cooked up a storm so we all have lots of left overs. Yum. Rained here in Vegas for the last two days and snowed on the mountain. Will try to get up there before we leave. Have just been doing tourist things while here. But today we have to do some shopping - not at the malls or big stores - just odds and ends we need. Will post this before I lose service I hope.
Good to be back.
