We got a date!!!!

Hi Sistahs,
Well I am back up here in the "frozen Northwest". Dang it, it is 75 and 80 degrees back home and snow flurries up here; Well it will all be worth it; For those of you who don't know, my first grandchild is coming in March; We have given her enough time,l but the little stubborn bugger is determined to be breach. No turning; Went to doc, and she told her to schedule the C-Section So Savannah Marslet Samuels will be born sometime after 10:30 AM on March 15, 2012. Unless she tries to be born within the next two weeks and we have to have an emergency c section. Please keep her in your prayers that all will go fine. According to the doc, everything else is just as it should be. I have had so much fun watching my daughter "nest", and we have been shopping and shopping and shopping. I just sit and grin at her, she looks like she has a beach ball under her clothes and waddles worse than me. :D

omg, are you serious? I was born on March 17. My name is Susan. We often played word games as kids. I was Nasus, older sister to Aicirtap and Arabrab, daughter of Yram and Eidde.

Yay, a date. And March 15th is a great date - for a very healthy baby to be born to a loving family. Can't wait for pics.

Another Nasus - scary - didn't think there could be 2 of you!

Thanks for all your comments. Yes the fact that she is breech has me scared. All her plans have changed now so we are scrambling to make other sleeping arrangements because her house is two stories and they don't want her climbing stairs for a while; Luckily, she has a sitting room that can be changed into a bedroom and she has a half a bath on the bottom floor. I have bought one of those really high air beds for her to sleep on, and the baby has a portable basinette. We will make do. Her dad is flying in with Emma on the 13th so he will be able to visit a little before the big day and be there to hold my hand while Savannah is being born. Will keep all of you posted. .

Congrats on your new granddaughter. I do not post often but I think the baby's name is perfect. What I will tell you is that with a C-section...they get them up quickly. They will also suggest that she walk the hall with the bassinet. That works. My daughter also had a C-section and she followed those suggestions. When she got home (with a 2 story house) she felt strong enough to climb those stairs because she walked in the hospital. (I was very worried but she felt the need to try. I carried the baby up and down the stairs for 2 weeks but she got stronger and she recovered much more quickly. I realize that everybody is different but that is just a suggestion that you make to your daughter. And believe me you will love spoiling her and the new baby. Again congratulations.

How exciting. Guess you won't be bored for sometime  my youngest gk's b'day is the 10th and I'll be traveling to NC to celebrate. If you'll be traveling to sunny California to visit in the future, Sharon just might hijack you for a visit. carold
