A Thank you to the Sisters!

Postby Sprinter » Tue Feb 28, 2012 10:18 pm

Thank you Birdie, Beth and Connie for watching over our wounded sister Liz. I'm sure that was a tragic time for you all! And you rallied as you always do :) Just read about Nan being with Sarah in her time of need too.

I too have been a recipient of the kindness of our sisters. Though not to the extent that is currently underway now. Just another instance to share. When I was in the field seeing patients, my rig wouldn't start when I came out from seeing one. I wasn't finished seeing the rest of them for the day and Coachnet wanted to tow my rig from Kerrville to San Antonio. Well, I didn't have time to deal with that then. I had other patients to see first! They come before my needs. So I called my sister Karen here for a ride back to the cg to get my scooter to use for the rest of the day. Just so happened Birdie was here in Kerrville too. So they both came to get me. Birdie said, "we're going to try jumping this rig before packing it off to SA" So I went and saw the rest of my patients. When I got back to the cg that night, we went down and jumped it. And it worked! Saved all that extra fuss and inconvenience. To this day I am grateful to my sisters :)

This is what our network is all about! :) Good People! :)

Love,
Sharon

Hear Hear! After my little escapade in La with Carolyn and Karen and after watching Beth with Jean...well..just can't say enough about how we watch over and care for each other. And that Birdie girl! Saved me from getting sunburned in Hope and then offered to drive her back to Ca for me if I needed it! Yup, the sisters are the bestest!!

We take care of each other - and that's one of the things that makes this group so very special.

Now, I have a sunburned nose, I'm so tired I can't see straight and where am I - trying to catch up on here :)

Just killed at gigantic mosquito - yikes...

Yep, yep....we are the true meaning of "Sisters".....we may have our differences, disagree at times, but we're great at giving advise, we are there when we are needed, have the best "shoulders to cry on" and laugh, joke, pick on each other....we are a caring, loving, supportive bunch....and our "family reunions" aka GTGS are the greatest....

We are "Sisters of the Road"..... ;)

I second all that everyone has said. You know, I like to give when I can do that. I know if I ever need something the sister's would be there. I mean look at who went RV shopping with me all over central Texas, helped me negotiate the buy, then who helped me move-in and helped me get it setup....the sister's, Colleen, Vicki (Yakn1 - she is really quiet you know - thats for kayak), Liz. Teresa my SIL, was ill during this time but gave moral support.

Just so neat to have that kind of friendship out there. Thank You Sisters!!!!

I'll drink to that! (oh----is it morning time? Who cares!)

CRUPPERS UP to all of us in here! A finer group of independent, opinionated, emotional, compassionate, sympathetic women I have never had the privilege of knowing! And humor runs rampant here, which is the spice of life!

And I will NEVER forget the kindnesses shown my you all and several other RV friends a little over 2 years ago when my Eddie was hurt. Karen fed me and put me up for the night while he was in the clinic for his surgery. The rest of you supported me and encouraged me during that time. I love all of you. :)
