Gobble, Gobble...It's Thursday...Morning and I'm here with all of YOU !!! I'm so happy to see my kitchen filling up... There's always room and ya all know my cubbards are never bare...shoot, I can make something up in a Minutes Notice..ummm Maybe that's why my Table Cloth is Red and White...or is it....Don't fill their cups till ya see the Whites of their EYES Nah.... It's just my way of making all of you feel at home, where ever ya are

Today is a day we all give thanks...and for sure we all do have a lot to be thankful for..Our lifestyles are a gift....and our View is a Beauty to Be Holden...and above all...OUR FRIENDSHIP....she's a Glowin'.....

All of you, in your own way have made my long days seem worth while...I read as often as my eyes will let me...and I'm on that road with you, in that Mountain or even by that Ocean...Yes, you are my "Sista's" ! We've certainly shared all our laughter, our tears and most of all our HEARTS ....Nothin' finer to be proud to be a member of a group of wonderful Women..(a few men in their too)

As we all sit at the table and feast....Let's raise up our glass (cup) to EVERYONE...and to that Lord in the Heavens !!

You all have filled an empty chair for me....and I thank you...and as soon as I can, I'll be back HOME....

To All you "new" Gals...you are amongst a great group...that will share with you and show you they care as well. We love to Gab..in fact we'll talk on any topic...even willin' to learn..cause heck, if we can, we will ....and if we can't...well....there's always Ernie, and Dan...we can't go wrong...and now Tom is joining in...

Gosh it feels good to say "Good Morning" I sure have been missing it ...

Ok, ladies I'm getting teary eyed and my Coffee Pot is Perking.... Coffee is on, Tea too...oh and for those that have to have a Cola..gots plenty of that...
pull up a chair and join in.... In my humble abode..Biscotti is always there..cause we Italians love to dunk..but what ever your heart desires...we can whip it up... I have some Apple Cake, Banana Nut Blueberry Bread, and always Toast...ifn' ya like... Gots ta try them Orange Biscuits ???? LOL LOri.. You always find some interesting goodies...

Gooooooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Oh how wonderful to come in to Barbz table and find her to home!! What a happy surprise to be greeted with this morning!!! Lady your cheerfulness and love have been missed. I for one and I know the others will be THANKFUL for that gift this morning.

I'm up and grabbing coffee. Actually I've been up for awhile, set the alarm to let me sleep for 7hrs but had to do that potty run an hour before the alarm went off. So while a little short on sleep it will all work out. As soon as I post this I am gonna put my stuffing together and into the bird and strain myself to lug the thing to the oven. Long about 10am we will all be smelling that aroma that really only happens once a year. Why is that?? You can do up turkey at any time through out the year and it will always smell good, but it only has that certain aroma only on Thanksgiving Day.

Chopped up my onions and celery last night and cooked them. Like a dummy I use to do it up the morning of then play he77 with the boiling hot stuff adding cold water to cool it enough to work with. Now I do it the night before. Jenny made a Pumpkin Cheesecake last night? Never tried one before so it will be a first. Kids are eating here first then going to her Mom's. Missy Kelly is gonna finish dishes when she gets up. It's suppose to get to 55f today so I'm gonna sic David to sorting recyclables out so I can get rid of them. I didn't get to it last weekend. I'm not sure who I gonna give the job of peeling taters to? But someone for sure will get it! LOL

Ok it's that time. I am gonna get off my duff and start in on getting stuff around and ready. Oh Joy!!! I love the eating but the prep is not fun!!! ~sigh~ Why is it some of the bestest stuff is only possible after lots of work? LOL

Along with other things, I am so Thankful for all of my wonderful Sistahs here. I honestly don't believe that there is a better bunch of women any where to be found!! You Ladies rock!!!

Wow!! What a nice surprise!! Glad to see you back in your kitchen Barbzeee. No one else can begin to fill your shoes!!! Some banana bread sounds good and a cup of hot tea. I'm swearing off coffee for a bit!! Have a Happy Thanksgiving Day ya'll!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

And this morning to find our own Zeee here in her kitchen setting out the mugs and perking that coffee is one of the many things i am most thankful for. let's see,... my personal top five are:

1. I'm thankful for my family,.. kids, grandkids, neices, nephews and all of their kids too! And that most of us live right here in our home area.
2. I'm thankful for my friends,... and that includes all of you "cyber-friends"... you are real friends, too!
3. I'm thankful for my cozy little home on the hill,...paid for free and clear and all mine.
4. I'm thankful for my (mostly)good health.
5. I'm thankful for my job with these wonderful highschool kids.

So, that's my top five,.... to that list in a last category i'd add the things that are nice, but don't define my life, my computer, tvs, my "Baby" (Ford Escape!), washer and dryer and of course my camper. Things that give me enjoyment and make my life easier. ....the things that are nice but not necessary.

So on this wonderful day of family and friends, to find Barbzeee in the kitchen and to take time to stop and count my blessings before I start making another batch of rolls for dinner today,.... what a good way for me to start my Thanksgiving morning.

I know it's not breakfast type stuff? But it's all Cedar's fault for starting it.

I get a horoscope that is really quite good. I've directed a few friends to the site and they have liked it. Of course the fact that I get 'Karma Coins' if they join, has nothing to do with it!! LOL No really, it's a good one and pretty much is always spot on for me and what I'm thinking of or having going on. Things I'm Thankful for;

My kids, they drive me to distraction sometimes, but love 'em to death.
My family, we don't stay in touch a lot but I know that their there.
My friends, they make and keep me human and grounded.
My rented home and it's oven today, without it I have no idea where I would be.
My job, as much as I hate it, I at least have one and can support myself.

There are so many little things that we can all be grateful for and very seldom think about except for days like today.

As a side thought? I am grateful for all the people out there who willingly give of themselves, their time, effort, money, homes and hearts to those in need. The Churches of whatever denomination, the organizations, clubs, companies and of course the individuals who care for and give to those who either have nothing or who have lost everything in today's economy. Those that supply soup kitchens, food pantries and thrift stores. All the hidden people who do this day after day for free, not wanting anything in return. Except maybe the feeling that they have helped in some small way. I could go on, but I guess you catch my drift. I'll get off my soapbox now!

YAYY! I get to meet Barbzee today! So nice to see you in your kitchen!

I can smell stuff being prepared all over the country this morning....stuffing fixin's, pumpkin and mince pies, rolls, muffins, bicuits, breads of all sorts, turnips, potatoes, gravy, breen bean casseroles, onions, cranberry jellies and sauces, and, of course, TURKEYS!!!! Whoever said that the smell of Thanksgiving is nearly as good as the taste of Thanksgiving was absolutely correct!

I hope you all will have something to eat that will make you smile today, and find something to do to get outside and breathe Thanksgiving air. Those of us with canine 4-footers will be out, I know that!

Molly is what I am most thankful for today....she keeps me from being alone here in this beautiful forever-wild Adirondack Park. And you ladies of this group keep me up and going, also....I am very thankful for being able to know all of you.

I cooked my turkey dinner stuff last week, and have enjoyed it every day all week. The feast that I will head for today, in Chazy, just a few miles from the Canadian border, will be fun as there will be proxy (in-law) family members whom I have been lucky enough to stay in touch with over the turbulent years of my defunct marriage. And my daughter will be there, too, and I miss her a lot. Wish my son could be here, but....perhaps I can afford plane tickets for them for Christmas as a present to myself!

oohhhh Barbzeee, what a wonderful surprise to have you in your kitchen doing the
wake up call for us all. The silly turkey is so cute! Coffee tastes especially good, and
I'll have a little toast with that sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.
Todays special thanks go to all my friends here and at work as they give me so many
defining moments of who I am, thankful for my small family that loves me and
thankful for my furbabies that get me up each morning to greet another day, and
of course thankful for my job that provides for me and my needs. There are many
other things I am thankful for also and those are not forgotten either.
Bless this day for everything I shall receive.

Happy Thanksgiving! I am certainly thankful to see our one and only Barbzee presiding at her breakfast table again! Good to see ya Zeee! I'll fill up a mug grab one of those biscotti and enjoy everyone's conversation. I'm feeling a bit like a bum this morning, first time in years that we're not having the holiday at our house. We'll be driving to my mother's and having dinner with our adopted family at 4:00. All I have to bring is the dinner rolls...it's a welcome reprieve but I keep thinking about that Maxine comic 'As the Thanksgiving season approaches remember all it takes is one undercooked turkey and you're the "dinner rolls" and "soda" person for the rest of your life.' I think my turkey was done last year!

I'm thankful for the same things as the rest of you so I won't do a repeat...except for I am thankful for each and every one of my cyber friends....you put a smile on my face everyday.

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all. How wonderful to see you at the head of your table Zeee - although I always think of your table as round - where there is no "head" or "foot" but everyone is equal. And everyone is stuffed.

I'm about to pop into the shower after working from 6 till a bit ago. Cleaned this place up and spiffed up everything for Thanksgiving - then will help everyone mess it up in the rec hall when we eat

My cold or whatever I have is not going away - went to bed at 6:30 last night and other than a couple times up to go potty - didn't get out of bed till 5:30. Peaches must have known I needed my sleep, cuz she never once got up and cried to go out. Such a good dog.

Like all of you - I am blessed with the same things - my top blessing those is currently to Peaches - as she's the life influence that's with me daily - and, oh, do I give thanks for her.

Love to you all - hope you have a great day - and remember, those of you who may be alone - you might be spending the day alone, but you are never truly alone - we're all with you. And being alone does not mean you need to be lonely -

Almost There, I have been thinking of your sausage, mushroom stuffing. It sounded wonderful. I am going to my daughters for dinner but am roasting a turkey breast for home. I pulled a Rachel Ray. I took a box of Stove Top and doctored it up with sausage, mushrooms, celery, onion and chicken broth. Its in the oven in a in covered baking dish. I don't know how it will taste when I take it out but it was heavenly when I put it in.
