Gas prices

Postby oregontocal » Wed Nov 26, 2008 9:54 pm

When I left San Diego the beginning of October, the price for regular unleaded gas was $3.65, some places more. Yesterday I bought gas in Bartlesville, Oklahoma for $1.48 a gallon. Gee, now's actually the time to be traveling. Wonder how long it will stay down there?

Isn't it nice Chris !?!
I know diesel is $2.00 a gallon less then when I left Iowa - It's almost fun to fuel up !!

It's mind-boggling. I've almost gotten a petro-financial whiplash!

Gas prices in Florida are from 1.70 to 1.91 a gallon right now and falling. Don't know how long it will stay that low but enjoying it while it is.

Take a look at this map,.... Check out your area and any direction you might be traveling. I'm sorry to say that my home state of NY is the highest price of all. That's due to all the taxes NY loves to put on everything.

oh yes!!! what a relief to fill my tank with a $20 bill instead of $60. Means I can do
a little local sightseeing, something I've not done since I moved here in 2001.

I have been on assignment in Lebanon, OR since July 7th and thought I was so smart filling up my Motorhome gas tank before I parked it for the 3 months. I bought gas at $4.09 a gallon and thought it was a bargain ...for the times. I figured it would just keep going UP....well now it is $1.75 a gallon and I am heading out to my new assignment in Eureka, CA with 75 gallons of EXPENSIVE gas....do ya think it will run better on that "gold" gas??? NOOOOOO

I always like to fill it up before I park just so I know I can get on down the road for a bit before I have to get gas. Well, what can ya do???

I will be in Eureka, CA for 3 months so if anyone ventures that way give me a shout.....I am always up for good company, good meal, good coffee, heck just a visit is good.

I was so proud a few weeks ago when I filled up at $2.05 a gallon ... I think I'll fill it back up before I put 'er up for the winter ... I'm shooting for $1.75 a gallon (gosh, I feel like a giddy school girl as I write that!).

I love the new prices, also. And, Karen, I always fill up before I park - I want the tank full if and when I need it. So often it gets filled with more expensive gas. Hopefully you can use this expensive stuff and fill 'er up again with the less expensive at the new assignment.

Good to see you posting, my friend - you need to join us more often :)

I wasn't quite empty but filled up the car yesterday and started to get upset because I thought the pump cut off too soon - it couldn't possibly be full at $13.00....but at $1.45 a gallon it really was full. Feels really great to see these lowered prices.
