Good morning Ladies..

Yes Birdie.. Thanks for the reminder... I do drive a pick-up. I have had some close callse in them.. Sooo I will definatly need to remember "long butt".

I'm in E. TN. Little spot called Niota. I'm just about 2.5 miles off I-75. Niota is about half way between Knoxville and Chattanooga.

I am soo looking forward to getting out in our RV. Last night I was trying to find some places to go that would be a short trip. May just go over to the lake..

Welcome Joy! I just joined this week myself and am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I third and fourth learning how to drive the rig. I know how but DH has only let me drive once....flat, straight, no wind road. I think that now that's it been a year on the road he'll be a little more relaxed. It was nerve racking that first time, but I figure if I could drive 2 1/2 ton trucks in the army I can do this. Right?!

Tell DH Texas is a community property state and you'd rather share the community property than take it away. Move over, buddy.

Hi and welcome, Joy, from another new gal in this group!

Congrats on the rig! Whooowheee! How exciting!

I'll "third" that bit about taking the wheel and being able to set up camp on that baby yourself. I do the towing of our rig, as Dave likes to ride and I like to tow. We share and work as a team putting up and breaking camp.

I also agree that you live in an absolutely gorgeous area. Vacationed up that way in AR and then in the Chatanooga area a couple of times.

Who knows? One of these days we may share a live campfire and I hope so, but in the meantime welcome to this virtual circle of great ladies!

Cheers!

I look forward to your pictures. I am buying a rv soon and will be traveling alone full time. I will probably start a blog of my purchase and my

Joy, welcome to the Forum. There's a lot to learn in RVing ... and you have a ready supply of people who can offer all kinds of (sometimes conflicting!) advice. I fourth the suggestion that you learn to drive your rig. Lots of us do ... I travel solo in a 35-foot Class A motor home. As you drive you'll get a sense of the dimensions of your rig and how it behaves.

So many men (and even more women) say, "How can you drive that big thing?" My reply? "Can't be too hard -- men do it."

Plus ... driving these beasts is SO much fun. Looking forward to reading your posts.
