Thanks everyone. I don't know it if could be classified as "Hitch Itch" or not? But like Vickie said we are ready to bust out and go!!! Well emotionally at any rate. I just know that we are both sooooo ready to go home and get set up at the new park, starting seeing family and friends we haven't seen in a little over 2yrs. And to begin new jobs!!!

We are sure hoping that Kelly gets the cleaning job at the park for sure. As it will be 3 days one week and 4 days the next week and on set days she will also be able to look for a part time job for the other days, That way our site will be free and have money to 'play' with. And get bills paid. LOL Kelly is really looking to pay off the credit cards. We have 3 total between the 2 of us with fairly small balances but would be nice to pay them way, way down. ;)

What wonderful news, Echo! I can feel your excitement from here! If Kelly can land a job, too, you will finally be making enough to take a lot of the stress out of your lives. I am thankful for you both that you have each other to share life with, too. Going it all alone is never as much fun as being with someone, at least not for me. Please get yourselves there safely, and take some pics so we can see where you are and how things are going. CONGRATS again!

We are trying hard to "downsize" again!!!  Went to the storage room and worked hard for a couple of hours. We took a huge monster chunk out of our stuff! :o YAY!!! Kelly really, really surprised me by getting rid of a ton of stuff!!! WOOHOO, go Kelly. I have boxes of stuff that I don't want to really get rid of but will go thru all of it again. Plus I have 2 boxes of paperwork to go thru. Jodi came over and took 5 boxes and 2 18gl totes and a tall kitchen trash bag full to her Mom's house to go thru. She said whatever they didn't want that they would take to the thrift store for us. Threw at least 5 empty boxes in the dumpster. One banana box was jammed packed with nylon nities that I had been holding onto because I was going to make a bedspread out of them. It went too!!! ~sigh~ Got rid of fleece material that I was going to make vests and a jacket out of. I figure somewhere down the road I can always buy it again but for now I just want to "lighten" up the load. What is left now will easily fit in the back of the pickup with room left over. But I will make myself get rid of more. Less weight the better!!! I don't think I will go back over tomorrow but then again I might?

Gonna read a bit more to see what ya been up to then I am getting my butt to bed. I'm whacked out!!!

Called and talked to Billy the campground manager today. Needed to see if we could bump up our arrival date. He said that there was no problem and that we could come in a week earlier if need be!!! :D

And even better is that Kelly has the workamper job now too!! Hot diggity dog! That means that the site will be free in exchange for her working!!!! WOOOO!!! She will be cleaning the bathhouse, small camping cabins, rec and laundry rooms. He said it wouldn't be much more than 10 or 12hrs for her work week!!! That will leave her plenty of time for another part time job at one of the tourist shops!! Or if we can get her feet straightened out she might be able to work at Dollywood!!

OMG we are so excited and happy!! Stopped and talked to a vehicle repair shop about the truck today. Gonna take it to the shop either Monday or Tuesday to have it checked out. Told him he had been recommended for doing good work and being reasonable on price. Explained about the 2000ml trip home and needing to watch pennies. So he said he would do his best to keep costs down and only do as few diagnostic tests as he could get away with. WAHHOO!!!

Got fingers, toes and other things crossed that we don't hit a road block. Going to St George on Saturday and maybe stay over night too. We are about to die for Chinese food. Gonna pick up oil, tranny fluid, bulbs and ele tape at WalMart while over there. It will all be so much cheaper at Wally's. Might pick up another heavy duty jack too. I took the ele plug off of the camper yesterday and will stop in at the RV dealers to see if I am gonna need a new one or if there's a way to clean up the old one. The guy doing the oil and tranny fluid change is gonna work on the ele wire and lites for the trailer.

OMG I am so on pins and needles just waiting until the day we pull out to head home!!!

Hi Echo,
You sound so excited! I think that is great! I'm interested in hearing about Dollywood once you get thru orientation and start your job. I have heard a lot of rvers go there to work in the summer and I was wondering how fun it would be to work there! Julie

It is wonderful how everything has come together. We always enjoy spending time in the Smokies area. It is so pretty and everyone is friendly. So glad the job and campground are just what you wanted. I am sure it is only a matter of time and Kelly will have a good position.
