We have a home campground!

WOOHOO!!!

We are doing a happy dance here!!! We have somewhere to live in Dollywood now! YAY!!!!

Finally talked to "Billy" the manager and we have a site that is reserved for us when we get there. It's at the Eagles Nest Campground. As long as I am going to be a Dollywood employee I did not have to pay a deposit either. There are no extra fees for ele or anything!!!!! We can pay weekly or bi-weekly, he said whichever way is easier for us.

And even better!!! Kelly just might have a job waiting for her when we get there!!! He was very interested in her as a workamper. He said the woman doing them right not "isn't" and if he had his way he would get rid of her now but the owner said to give her one more chance. If Kelly does end up getting the job that means we will get our site for free! MORE YAY!! As it wont take all that long to clean the bathhouses and the 5 camping cabins they have she would still be able to get a part-time paying job!

OMG!!! We are super excited. :D

Yea, Ive been there about 4 times. It'll be nice to be in a nice place while you work. It's on the trolley route and if he's still there, a man who does some neat carving with a chain saw out front! The people who run it can tell you more about how to get there, but take ( Ithink it is 441) through Sevierville down into downtpwn pigeon Forge and you turn right at WEars Valley Road, DO NOT come up Wears Valley Road into town from (I think ) 321, as it ia very steep. I think it says this in rhe cg book. Be careful on your trip, and arrive safely. Wendy

Thanks for the recommendation on Eagles Nest. From the few pictures they have it's looks OK and I love the idea that it has good sized trees for shade. We will either have to get the A/C unit on the trailer fixed of pop out the window over the sink and put in a small household A/C unit in. Will sure need it in TN as it will get warm and humid. Will be to warm in the trailer without A/C.

Have no idea what Rt 321 looks like below Pigeon Forge as I haven't ever been that far down the route. But maybe we will check it out sometime this summer!

Great news. Hope things work out for the job for Kelly, too! And maybe, if they have enough hours, they could give her pay over so many hours worked. If those cabins all turn over at once - would be a long day!
