Good Morning, It's Wednesday!

Good Morning everyone! I am here in BarbZeee's kitchen,... coffee is perking, and table is set with lots of coffee mugs and our ever-present jar of biscotti, and I'm ready to start cooking pancakes whenever anybody else gets up. They are only good fresh off the griddle! I have brought real maple syrup that my son makes. So,... grab a glass of o.j. and pull up a chair,...

Have a great day!

Good morning Cedar!!! LOL I think I'll come over to your part of Barbz kitchen as long as your cooking breakfast. All I'm offering in my part of Barbz kitchen is pumpkin muffins. LOL Ya got blueberries in them pancakes???? Yumm yumm!!!

I'll have two hot pancakes as soon as I get back inside. David has let Honey out of the bedroom and she's sitting in front of the backdoor talking to me! Telling me to "hurry up Nana, I got to P".

MMMMMMMM pancakes with fresh maple syrup sounds good. Have one before I head out for my last workday before Thanksgiving begins. They will all descend upon my house today, so the noise level will go up a decimel or two here. Coffee smells great, hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good Morning, Everybody!

It's 28 deg. F. this morning----again, very warm for this late in November. We have just a dusting of new snow out there, but forecast is for Lake Effect snow off the Great Lakes for the next several days. That's ok by me, as I want to maintain my ski trails! I have 400 acres of wild property here, with about two miles of maintained logging roads that make my great ski runs. It's almost overwhelming to keep them navigable, especially since it's only me here again now that my son moved back to FL. Sometimes I can clear out the windfalls with just a handsaw and a lot of brute strength---but other times I need a chainsaw! I really have no neighbors close enough for me to see, and only a few anywhere for a mile, or so, at this time of year. Molly and I are truly alone in this great Adirondack wilderness.

I brewed myself some blueberry cobbler coffee (OH, it's strong, all-righty! Just because it's flavored, don't think it isn't strong enough for my spoon to stand up in the middle of my mug!) with vanilla-flavored creamer. I could add a dollop of fat free ready whip, but it's sweet enough as it is!

Today I need to bring in a ton of firewood, vacuum the house, and decide what I will do tomorrow. I am going to my mother-in-law's sister's house for a turkey dinner, and hope to meet my daughter and her boyfriend there. I could bring Molly and her small hut, leave her at Mema's while we eat dinner, (mother-in-law) and spend the night so I can shop in the big city (HAH!) on Friday. My senile cat should be ok alone for that one day and night. OR, I can leave Molly and cat here, go just for dinner, and come home tomorrow. Driving distance is only about 60 miles one way. Decisions, decisions!

I hope you all are making preparations for a special dinner, whether just for yourself, or to share with others tomorrow. I made myself a small turkey and all the fixin's last week, and have been eating the stuff for a week! I never get tired of leftovers like potatoes, gravy, stuffing, turkey, and veggies. The only thing I didn't fix for myself was turnip, a traditional Thanksgiving veggie in my New England family. I love turnips, and will look for one when I shop tomorrow or the next day. I always miss my parents at this time of year, though they have both been dead for 28 years!

Time to get rolling here....have a happy Wednesday, you all!

P.S......Cedar's pancakes are DELICIOUS! I know because she turned her neat little A-frame camper into a pancake house when she came here for a GTG with our singles group! We were lined up with our plates in our hands to receive her yummy breakfast! And, at that time, my wild blueberries were ripening, so we had those in them, if desired!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning all...
I'm up a wee bit before the sun since I went to sleep early last night, then again I usually get up early. I need to take the morning pills then will go in the house to have coffee off the woodstove with my Dad. I've not made our coffee yet, actually I leave that to hubby as he's better at it and is the one who drinks it the most. The wild turkeys have not arrived in the barnyard but I forgot to go get some buckets of grain out of the truck so...I have no food for them right now. OOps, just as I say that -- here they come, the big bunch -- about 60 of those big guys and gals so....I'll go see if dad had the foresight to get grain for them yesterday.

Later this AM we'll be driving down to the Denver metro area to spend the holiday weekend with my daughter & family. There is a slight chance of snow tomorrow but for the most part the next big winter storms hasn't arrived yet. Just wait -- next month we'll get our share!

I need to repack one bag as I think I packed the wrong clothes, don't ya hate that! I just can't live without my sweats & Crocs so they will be worn to travel in and I'll take nicer clothes for while we are there. But you know -- they are family and we usually dress comfortably when not out in public. Garsh, doesn't everyone do it that way?!

I'm new to this site but visit the other womens site all the time so came over here to check it out. I've not figured out how to post a photo in my profile or in the body of the message so I'll come across it some day.

Well I need to get busy.

Good morning !
I love pancakes !!! I take a whole stack please and lot of syrup !!!
I'd bet some flavored coffee would be good with pancakes - all that sweetness might make ME sweet ! HA !!
It's cool and clear here - about 38 this a.m. but it's suppose to warm up to mid 60's - perfect !
I think I'll walk down to Rite Aid today - I ordered some prints on line and they should be ready today - then I need to get some Christmas cards. I was going to put a picture of the ocean in the cards. I also got a couple copies of a picture of Molly so I can give them to the people here in the park that just love her !
Oh and bought orange rolls and need to make a couple of them - someone mentioned them the other day and I've wanted one ever since !!!
Enjoy your day :D
