Snowy Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snowy Saturday

Good Morning all,

A bit snowy here at the 45th this morning. Weak disturbance moving through. Might get around 3 inches, but sun is supposed to come out this afternoon. Typical weather for late winter. Have to admit, I"m starting to get a little winter weary, but.... Have given some thought to maybe heading south for a couple of weeks, but budget is tight and I have a couple of commitments the first part of March and need to be here the latter part as boss wants to start a couple of us when the snow is gone, so have to get that drug test and paperwork done around the end of the month.

Just made a hamburg patty and cottage cheese for breakfast. Topped off with a bowl of strawberries. Some of you may find that a strange breakfast, but I diet I was on once, called for more protein than carbs and so I would fix that for breakfast as a change from eggs, bacon, sausage etc. at breakfast. Lost 40 pounds on that diet too (Power Protein Diet). And did strength training exercises at the gym too.

Had a good gym workout yesterday. The lady who is our regular instructor is in FL for a couple of weeks and one of her former students who is now an instructor, is leading the class. And she give us a good workout. Have to laugh at all the ladies after it's done. We are all bushed and wiped out just about, some of these ladies have to be in their 70's. But they have a gung ho spirit that is very contagious and come the next workout, they will be there. It's really a fun bunch. There will be no class on Monday due to the holiday so I will exercise here at home.

Back to the spring cleaning today. Only have my breezeway and laundry room to finish up. Was going to do the breezeway the other day, but put the brakes on cause I wanted to get my hair cut and also clear the snow from the night before off my drive. Once those walls are done, it's off to the cupboards and kitchen cabinets and done.

Took "girls" for a walk over to the park yesterday. Ran into boss. He's been sitting on the vehicles coming and going into the park, making periodic checks of the day use parking lot if he doesn't see them coming back out right away. Passing out violations and also selling the stickers to get in as everybody coming into the park must have a Recreational Passport sticker on their license plate. It's been a bit busy there. He's going to pop in on a Saturday one day and see what he can find, but not this weekend as he is going scuba diving up in Mullet Lake. Also talked to me a few minutes about a schedule he's making for myself and one of my co-workers right now so that I can have a weekend off once in awhile this summer. Not written in stone, but it looks like I will be doing kind of a swing shift every other week between morning shift and afternoon shift, work a weekend and then a weekend off. I kind of like it.

Well, jabbering on here isn't going to get the laundry going and the cleaning done. So I shall be off. Have a wonderful day all.

Morning! I have coffee.....I know that Sue doesn't make it. Strong and black...the kind that will curl your toes and grow hair on your chest. I need a caffeine high today because I'm on a mission to get some things I've put off accomplished. It's suppose to get up to close to 50 today so I'm washing all the bedding and hanging it on the line. Noticed that it was getting a real ahhhhh....doggy scented. Can't understand why...Radar just has her little hinder parked in it most of the day. So first thing this morning I washed the blanket and hung it on the line because it cannot be put in the dryer...just hung out the mattress pad and noticed that the blanket was frozen stiff since it's still only 23*, but sunny! Hope that darn weatherman wasn't lying to me! Comforter, shams and sheets can go in the dryer if need be so I saved them for the end. Praying that we don't have a damp bed tonight! It's a bit nippy to go out and sleep in the 5er and me thinks that DH would not be impressed!

Not much new around here. Loving that I have a three day weekend. Tomorrow I plan to go and see my mom and sister and make the dreaded Wally World stock up stop on the way home. Haven't done that for close to five weeks and the list is long....I'll be dropping a bundle at the check out.

We've had such a mild winter...seems impossible that in three weeks we'll be switching back to daylight saving time. I'll enjoy having more sunlight when I come home from work because it seems that I get more done when the sun is up...but dread driving to work in the dark again. But my internal clock falls behind much more gracefully than I spring ahead!

Have a great day!
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

good morning ladies, been up for awhile now and most of my routine chores are done but still a little laundry to do.
Have an appt to get my hair cut this evening, one of my birthday presents from my daughter :D Looking forward
to it as its just getting so long again. Struggled with my internet connection this morning, couldn't get anywhere
kept getting a time out, have no idea what was up with that. How do you "time out" in a matter of seconds? I
remembered firefox did some update yesterday evening so did a restore point to the previous day and now all
is ok. Whatever the update was, it certainly wasn't setting well with my wifi.
Lacey is doing fabulous, but think eventually I'll find her a home. Her and the girls want to play all night keeping
me awake and their "play" includes barking which also keeps the neighbors awake. Also getting a lot of eye
irritation from her long hair. I'm not used to cat hair or dog hair for that matter as my Italian greyhounds shed
very little. Think she would be better suited in a home where she gets all the attention, but she certainly is
the perfect cat.
Monday, being that its a holiday, a bunch of the bus drivers chartered a bus to go up to Payson, there's a casino
up there, although I'm not a big casino person, I've been know to enjoy the slots once or twice a year. I'm looking
forward to the drive up and seeing lots of scenery. Course a win at the slots would be nice too but I never plan
on that. I'm only taking $40 and they give us 15 when we get there but I'm mostly counting on a great lunch.
Hope ya'll have a great day and better weather. The weather here has been fabulous lately.

Anyone need some rain? This was taken off my back porch. My DH checked the rain gauge and we have received 4 inches since last night and it's still raining. The kind of square area in the middle is suppose to be our ponds. I hope the fish don't leave. I'm going to have to put up a fish fence. lol This is the kind of weather where we end up with an alligator in our pond. Earlier we were watching robins picking up worms along the edge of the water.

Well, morning has come and gone...where to I have no idea! Been a really busy week, got back from the Hammers race on Tues, the Samcat had copped an attitude for leaving him for 10 days but he finally condesended to sit on my lap late in the evening. Whoa! 2 bites that looked pretty swollen on his face. His eye was almost swollen shut. Poor little guy. He wanted a lift up to the washing machine for a bite and when he jumped down his eye must have put his judgement off 'cause he did a face plant on the floor. Took him to the vet Wed morning and she kept him to clean up his battle wounds. That nite I was eating a bacon sandwich for dinner and felt something crunchy other than the bacon..wth? Rinsed out my mouth and I had a broken tooth. OK, I can see how the rest of this week is gonna go! :( Had an appt Thurs morning at the bank at 10 so it was south 10 miles for that, a fast run north 30 miles to pick up Sammy and then a really fast run back south again to drop off Sam, give the Chewmonster a potty run, and then 15 miles east to the dentist to check out the tooth. Broken crown that I didn't even remember ever having. Appt on Mon afternoon to get that fixed. Something going on every day next week. Really need a day out with Evie, but it's not gonna be next week. Hope everyone has a great week! And oh yeah, have Dr. appt next Friday to see what kind of torture he's gonna put me through, probably to find absolutely nothing wrong with me other than old age. Yes, Birdie, gonna ask for a stress test just to put your mind at ease. :D That one I don't mind doing.
