Passport America

Thought I would join so went online and found several sites for Passport America. One was listed as Passportamerica.com and another Passport-america.com Does anyone belong and know the real site or phone number as the phone numbers were not the same. I hear so much about fake websites I'm a bit hesitant to pick one.

They are probably the same. Their icon is a flag colored map of the U.S. with a covered wagon on top, so if you see that picture you know you have the right place. The WEB address I have is http://www.passportamerica.com.

I'm one of the lucky few to have a lifetime membership and have used it a lot. They don't offer lifetime memberships any longer, but it's still a good deal. When Sharon and I took a month-long trip to Texas a few years back, I think we stayed exclusively in PA parks! Saved a bundle! I have had a few membereships in camping clubs and I think PA is the best and cheapest one to carry around.

PA has a membership referral program so if you have a friend who is a member refer to their membership number when you order and they can get $10 off their next year's dues.

Interesting BJ. I just renewed my membership and received a new "book." The site listed on the paperwork is http://www.campsave50percent.com which then converts to the passport-america.com that you found when I put it in google search. The address is out of Long Beach, MS. (800-283-7183)

The passportamerica.com site shows the exact same camp ground "book" and all the logos but has a FL address? I suggest maybe e-mail them and ask if they are the same only with east/west districts somehow. I originally bought my membership at a Nick Russell, Gypsy Journal Rally in Ohio so I feel pretty confident that the MS outfit is legit...besides I've used it and it worked!

Good Luck!

Haha! My address is out of Crestview, Florida! Who are they? Where are they?

There are several officers of Passport America who maintain the website, do the mailings, etc. They are all over the country. ANY site that leads you to the PA site with the states & covered wagon logo is okay.

I joined in the first place because of the 50 percent savings on campground fees which everyone loves, and they're so widespread you'd be hard pressed not to find an affiliated campground.

PPA just bought some other discounters and I think CampSave was one of the ones... Happy Camper(?) may be another.

I originally joined through the passport-america.com and once tried to renew through the one without the - and had to switch to the one with it to get it renewed properly :) They are all the same, but, yes, different maintenance. As long as they give you the discount card, you are good :)
