Beckey: www.escapees.com/chapter39 might be a good place to look. Once you join Escapees it costs $5 to join the chapter. They have monthly campouts.

Welcome Becky,

I too am sorry about your loss. You live in a beautiful part of Idaho. I remember that area when I went through on a trip to WA way back in the 80's with my aunt and uncle.

I too pull a trailer, but it's just a regular travel trailer, not a 5er. They have been something I have thought abuot, but have never gotten into. Yet! Like the others said, practice, practice. Watch those mirrors and the height and jump out and check behind you when you are backing into a campsite. You just never know what might be back there out of sight of your mirrors. I wouldn't recommend going over 60 either. I see RVers do that all the time here and they are starting to sway. Better to err on the side of safety.

Looking forward to hearing of your adventures.

WELCOME BECKY!

I, too, pull a trailer, and I doubt I will ever become an expert with it! However, I am getting better, I think! I hauled by myself this year from the Adirondacks in upstate NY to St. Cloud down here in FL----about 1500 miles. I did it last year with another person coming and going, which was much easier----two sets of eyes and all that!

Very sorry for your loss, and proud of you for taking to the roads on your own----if I can do it, anyone on earth can do it! Hope to meet you down the road.

Happy travels!

Hi from Montana,

We are just south of Missoula. Still working almost full time so we don't have a lot of time yet but will be heading for Glacier for sure, Flathead Lake, Seeley Lake, etc. Don't know if we will pull over to Spokane area this summer or not. We just got our trailer and truck. Haven't packed it yet. :)
