Second Day of Carnaval - Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Second Day of Carnaval - Friday

Postby asirimarco » Fri Feb 17, 2012 9:40 am

Maqzatlan Carnaval - Spanish spelling - began yesterday with the heavens contributing to the scene - thunder and lightening last night and at times heavy rain - a first for the celebration. We stayed away from the party area and ran errands on our side of town. This morning has some really dark heavy looking clouds up there too.
We did get our Internet stick renewed yesterday. So we're good to go till April - by which time I'm sure we'll be home. Too bad it won't work in the states.
I have coffee, OJ and rolls from the Malpica bakery for breakfast. Enjoy.

Good Morning
Carol, those sunsets are spectacular; also enjoyed the tour.
A few days ago the weekend forecast looked good - warm and dry; that has TOTALLY changed as of what I just saw on local news. Heavy rain by Saturday afternoon and turning sharply colder overnight. Not what I wanted to hear. It better be sunny and warm in FL! Hope it is not raining too hard when we try to load Wendy's vehicle tomorrow for the journey. I still have not figured out an efficient means of packing this stuff for the RV and I think I've been careful in selecting what has to go but some things are just awkward and bulky. That will be my major project for the afternoon.
Something seems badly out of sorts with my internal thermostat. Have been having what feels much like hot flashes followed by freezing cold fingers and toes. If there is such a thing as senior hot flashes, somebody please just shoot me now!
Have a few errands to take care of this AM so best get with it.
Wishing all a great day.

Good Morning... a bit drizzly here but not cold for sure... Sarah hire someone to shoot you! ha ha ha I had hot flashes even when I drove school bus I retired when I was 68... soooo yes you sure can have them...
I have been trying to get some of the spots out of my carpet but I got way to much soap on it... keep trying to clean it with cold water but still is there... ok... will try more later... should have packed some vinegar...
I woke up at 6 this morning... way to early for me... well so be it... will take a nap later...
Take care everyone and enjoy your day...

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL!

Will have to see the carnival pics later when I have more time, Carol----I always love your Mexico tours!

My son is home from work today with an infection in his calf----it's swollen and hot, so he and Melissa went to an ER last night to see what was up with it. They didn't see any blood clot (he had been kneeling all day at work, resting his upper body on his calves, counting and tagging fish at Disney.) So they put him on a very potent antibiotic, and told him to stay home with his leg elevated all day. I sure hope it gets better soon.

I am making pork chops and scalloped potatoes for all of us for supper tonight, as those two didn't get back from the hospital until nearly two o'clock. Melissa went to work at noon, and I told her I would do supper.

The dogs and I have been playing in the yard all day, and they both love the freedom they have here.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
